My husband and I are just back from 2 weeks all inclusive stay, and the only bad points that we came up with is A. Location and B. Lack of entertainment. The location is too far away from anywhere, the hotel run a free shuttle bus to Quarteira and Villamoura but this stops at 17.45 you can get a taxi easy enough which didn't cost too much. There is a Lidl store about 25 mins walk and also a few restaurants. The entertainment was only 3 times a week and was not very good. Don't take children because there is nothing for them to do.
The rooms were adequate but no kettle or fridge, the website led us to believe all rooms had them but this is not the case, they were cleaned and fresh towels everyday. We had a couple of problems with our room but within minutes of reporting to reception the maintenance man was there and sorted everything.
The food was ok but more choice would have been better, although we did eat out a few times. The staff were all friendly and helpful especially manuel and rosanna. We celebrated our Pearl Wedding Anniversary while we were there and were given a bottle of bubbly on the house!
On the whole it was a good holiday but would have been better with more entertainment and if in a different location.

Myself and partner got a really really cheap deal for a week in this hotel to be honest cant complain for what we paid! We went just b&b which I'm pleased about as there was many complaints on the all inclusive! Staff are pretty friendly and the hotel is very clean which is 1 big issue for me as long as its clean..I'm happy! Entertainment is a bit poop but we went out most nights so didnt really apply to us anyway. If you are planning on staying I would suggest getting car hire as it is a bit out of the way of anything! We went all over portugal which we really enjoyed :)

Room Tip: Ask for the rooms at the bottom its like a little seperate hotel with only like 12 rooms where its r...

It was a nice hotel. We knew it was out of town (we looked it up on Trip Adviser before booking.)
There was a free shuttle bus, the last bus getting you back to the Hotel at about 6.10 pm, a bit early but after all it was free, anyway taxis were not that expensive.
Our room was well appointed with air conditioning, fridge, kettle, and a patio with table and chairs. The restaurant was clean, eating outside was also an option. Meals were buffet style and there was plenty of it. The choice was adequate, it wasn't lobster and caviar, but for the price paid it was good. Every evening there was a choice of two types of fish and at least two meat dishes sometimes three to choose from as well as soup and salads and finger food. There was always fruit and several types of dessert. The staff on the whole were very friendly and helpful, especially Bruno who seemed to do a bit of everything from driving to maintaining the pool. However there was a waitress who was definitely in the wrong job, she seemed to be in a bad mood most of the time and got annoyed if you didn't sit where she thought you should. There were no rules, tables were set for 2/3/4 or more places if needed and guests sat where they chose. Overall we were pleased with the Hotel. It catered for families so if you want a quiet holiday go after the schools have gone back.

Room Tip: Don't be afraid to ask for a free upgrade to a premium room. If they have one available you are...

Nice hotel. Our room was large and comfortable with a patio and seating area.Air conditioned and with a fridge, ideal.Although quite a distance from the beaches, the free shuttle bus is a great service.Bruno will help you out here.Food, well, quite plentiful but we enjoyed half board, might be boring if fully inclusive.Try to avoid aggressive waitress and you can then sit down and eat where you like.Comfortable for disabled customers.Would consider another visit.

Room Tip: Ask for a superior room complimentary especially if you have had travel problems.

Stayed at this hotel on a bed and breakfast basis. We had a twin-bedded room, which was quite spacious, had air-conditioning, but sadly no fridge. The hotel provides a shuttle bus service to Quarteria and Vilamoura, but the last bus returns at 17.45hrs. It is situated in countryside but there are some bar/restaurants 10 minutes walk away, plus a Lidl supermarket open from 7-23.00hrs each day. Most people were on an all inclusive holiday, which was good for families with small children, as they used the pool most of the day.

Visited Pinhal Do Sol with 16 year old son, 28 August until 8 September. Had standard room in the villa, beds hard, but room okay. No fridge in a country where the heat is amazing. The food was pretty bland rice and chips every night with a variety of fish and chicken, pork or beef. Good selection of foods at breakfast, however Lidl seemed to be the standard of quality. Half board was definitely too much to bear. McDonalds and Pizza hut were available in Vilamoura. The shuttle bus service was good, however, there is a big gap in the evening time. The staff overall were friendly, however there was one over zealous waitress who was very aggressive with little customer service skills. Exchange rate at the hotel dire, Vilamoura offered the best rate. 11 days half board definitely too much. However, the grounds of the hotel are nice for relaxing in. Very little entertainment on the evenings. The is a chicken shop just past Lidl which does excellent fish and chicken Marafou 1 which we ate at on the last day. Overall If you are looking for excitement this is not the hotel. The local drinks are shocking and the soft drinks and good alcohol very over priced. Take your own, or go down to Lidl's and stock up.

Room Tip: Well the Villa is a secluded spot but you have to walk up to the main area for dinners and drinks no...

We booked 10 nights all inclusive here in June, checked out after 2 nights and found somewhere decent to stay in Vilamoura. Food was awful, processed gunk or fried fish every day, with very little choice. Problem is if you don't like the food, there is nowhere else to eat within walking distance, so you have to put up with it, or move on as we did. Location is really remote. Rooms are very dated, and although we had paid for one of the large superior rooms that are shown online, we were allocated a poky room with 2 single beds, a filthy sofa bed with an inch thick piece of foam as a mattress and a cot - for our daughter, who is 10! There was a nasty tummy bug going round the hotel and when we realised there was no running water in the toilets beside the pool (ie no hand washing facilities) we decided to find somewhere else to stay before we came down with the bug too. Wouldn't recommend...
