Right were do i start ok was too out in the woods .was nowhere near the 10 min to the beach more like 30 min the staff in the reasturant was awful never smiling.they seam too watch everything u eat and drink . And after 10 clock u have to pay for your drinks even though uv paid for allinclusive which we thought was disgusting .theres was nothing at all for my two kids too do this should only cater for adults only i think .the view from my room was a field with an old shed with three men living rough in .the food was not nice at all . Nothing there for the children rice and chips everyday its was full of the rude german people it felt like the faulty towers hotel with the bell on the bar biiiiii what more can i say worst hotel we have ever stayed at never again dont go there be warned .

After rejecting the first room offered to us on arrival, we were given a fairly basic room which was adequate. No Tea/coffee making facilities and the TV was small and mainly Portuguese or German programming. Decent bathroom, and generally ok. Cleanliness was excellent, but the food was nothing to write home about. Bit of a gamble with the breakfast offerings, often short of hot items, and bacon rarely available. Menu mostly favoured the German palate. Staff were warm and friendly and very helpful. Although a mini bus was available five times a day, an evening service would be a big advantage for socialising, especially due to the remoteness of the hotel. Taxis to Quateira (nearest town) about 6 euros each way. A bit expensive if you dont want to sample the rather dull 'entertainment' on offer at the hotel each evening.

Room Tip: Ask for an upgraded room with better TV and tea and coffee facilities close to the reception area.

Last year at this time i posted a seething attack on this joint mainly based on food.
Due to changes in circumstances we booked again for this September and were very pleasantly surprised at the improvement in variety and quality of the food, albeit they still have no salad (cold meats) available.
Everything seemed to have moved up a gear or two. Even boiled potatoes now available instead of "Chips with everything".
I fail to understand complaints about location---do people not check this out before booking?
Entertainment---Why should a hotel of this calibre provide entertainment---the one night we stayed in we were treated to good sixties type of songs and some residents got up to jive etc.
There are still areas where better management of the restaurant needs to be addressed but they have come a long way from last year.
Again, if you want to mix with the friendly locals, the Central Bar is just up the road a few meteres.
Bear in mind---you get what you pay for.

Room Tip: Best get a room on top deck. Only real complaint is that the noise insulation is poor. On two night...

We've just come back from 7 days all inclusive and loved every minute of it!
The staff are lovely and very helpful, the hotel is perhaps a little dated but clean, the pool is cleaned every day and the pool area and outside patio areas are kept immaculately.
The food is good - good selection of food for breakfast (scrambled eggs are sublime), and lunch, with at least 4 options for your main course for your evening meal. Lots of lovely entres, fresh bread, olives ect and the cakes are to die for!
The location is good for a chilled, relaxing holiday - if you want to be in the thick of the action surrounded by bars and restaurants this hotel probably isn't for you. However, it's a short trip to the surrounding towns - the market on Wednesday is worth a visit as is the marina which is gorgeous.
It's a way from the beach - so again - if that's important to you, the location would need to be reconsidered unless you hire a car.
It's always worth researching a hotel before you arrive with regards to location - you can't complain that it's too quiet and far out if you haven't checked!
We'd stay here again.

This is our second stay here and to be honest for the price we paid (all inclusive) we have no complaints other then an extra pillow or two would have been nice! We found the room to be very clean and had the option of having it cleaned every day if we wanted. Also, the pool and restaurant area was clean and there were plenty of sun loungers with parasols. The staff were lovely and very helpful (not to mention hardworking.) it's a shame some of the holiday makers took them for granted and did not even say thank you when served. On the whole I would say its a quirky hotel, food can be a bit repetitive but always a good selection of fruit and salad and the chef likes to make sure he provides his vitamins (vegetables!) Alot of the people we spoke to did not like the fact it was a bit of a walk to the nearest resort but for us personally we liked the fact we were a little out of the way. We plan to go back next year :-)

My husband and I are just back from 2 weeks all inclusive stay, and the only bad points that we came up with is A. Location and B. Lack of entertainment. The location is too far away from anywhere, the hotel run a free shuttle bus to Quarteira and Villamoura but this stops at 17.45 you can get a taxi easy enough which didn't cost too much. There is a Lidl store about 25 mins walk and also a few restaurants. The entertainment was only 3 times a week and was not very good. Don't take children because there is nothing for them to do.
The rooms were adequate but no kettle or fridge, the website led us to believe all rooms had them but this is not the case, they were cleaned and fresh towels everyday. We had a couple of problems with our room but within minutes of reporting to reception the maintenance man was there and sorted everything.
The food was ok but more choice would have been better, although we did eat out a few times. The staff were all friendly and helpful especially manuel and rosanna. We celebrated our Pearl Wedding Anniversary while we were there and were given a bottle of bubbly on the house!
On the whole it was a good holiday but would have been better with more entertainment and if in a different location.

Myself and partner got a really really cheap deal for a week in this hotel to be honest cant complain for what we paid! We went just b&b which I'm pleased about as there was many complaints on the all inclusive! Staff are pretty friendly and the hotel is very clean which is 1 big issue for me as long as its clean..I'm happy! Entertainment is a bit poop but we went out most nights so didnt really apply to us anyway. If you are planning on staying I would suggest getting car hire as it is a bit out of the way of anything! We went all over portugal which we really enjoyed :)

Room Tip: Ask for the rooms at the bottom its like a little seperate hotel with only like 12 rooms where its r...
