This is a quaint little hotel quite far out nothing to do in the vicinity really , theres a lidl bout 15 mins walk down the road no other shops near, bus stop next to lidl very cheap into quarteira and vilamoura, but there was a free shuttle bus hotel put on several times a day return which was good, staff weren't very friendly some rude , not helpful did not tell you anything, drinks didnt start till 11am n finished at 10 on all inc if i would have known this i wouldn't have booked here, bar staff a slow and early in day there was often no one manning the bar at all there was a bell but if you rang staff were rude , i dont expect to be waited on hand and foot but i was a guest there and expected to be treated as such, we were told to finish one drink before coming for another but you often has to wait long periods and if you order cocktails or sangria thy look past you and serve some else i stood there one day an was asked what i wanted then she served 3 other people while i stood there because there drinks were easier, food was nice and hot but got boring after a few days of similar food not much choice and was served every meal in chaffing dishes and a small buffet which the chef who was very polite nicest staff member there, served you from thy did have a vrry good salad bar which i and my siser particularly liked, bfst was a joke really 2 chaffing dishes pilled up high with fried eggs left till thy turned green i asked for fresh once and was asked why, dont you like these i said no so she got me 2 lovely fresh eggs only once though i asked again another day waitress same one looked annoyed and never returned with them, evening meal was better as was lunch, served similar but at least you could have normal size plates bfst served on side plates , pool was nice we didnt have a problem getting a lounger but there was not a lot of them round pool thy had a garden with more but the loungers wernt in good condition, on the whole grounds are maintained well i have to say , the manager an elderly man was very miserable indeed not inviting at all there were a few people we met who were really nice and gave us tips on what was available within hotel as we had no clue, also theres a notice up to tell u bout meals which states you can choose off a smack menu or have buffet at lunch this is not the case you have a buffet thats it snack menu is chargeable, the rooms were massive cleaned every day with fresh towels , aircon was ok after messing with remote to turn it up it was very hot at night but had to turn off in morning was chilly then, on the whole we did enjoy our holiday but because we made most of it and I'm not the type to complain,we got out and about a lot so didnt spend all out time here so if you use as a base or had a car i would recommend, if your fussy in any way it is not for you, i recommended albufura had great day out there also great day trip from the marina 7hr cruise frm there and a lovely hidden beach and dingy ride into caves with bbq on the beach best day we had amazing actually.

Overall was quite good for the price. Was quite busy while we were there so had to be up early if you wanted sunbeds. Pool was nice but deep. We had a car so was able to get about, the hotel is out of the way of anywhere. The only issue we had was when we arrived it advertised you could get meals for 1 day (lunch and dinner) for 14.90 euros or 3 days (same price x 3). However when asking for the one day we were told you had to do 3 days first!!!! We were only there for a few day!! Their loss we ate out! I believe the choice of food wasn't great anyway. The staff on reception were offhand but the rest were very friendly and helpful.

We are a couple in our 20's and have just returned from a 4-night all inclusive stay at pinhal do sol.

The hotel is very small - the smallest we have stayed in and after staying here we will be going to a larger hotel next time. It was very cheap though so for what we paid we can't complain too much, hence the 3 star rating.

This hotel seems to be more aimed at older couples (40+). We were the only young couple there, and there were a few families, but seemed to be more older couples.

Food
The food here is very poor. Generally very little choice, asides from chips & rice there was just 2 fish and 2 meat dishes to chose from each evening and these didn't look particularly appetizing. The salad options was decent though. Deserts were poor, a choice of 3 not great looking cakey bits. Fruit was always lovely and juicy. Didn't like the fact someone behind the buffet served you the food - was like school dinners. Breakfast & lunch you helped yourself though. Also would have preferred if you could get & refill your own drinks rather than waiting for the waitress to, given how small the glasses were.

Drinks
All inclusive was between 11am and 10pm. Not great hours imo - couldnt grab a drink by the pool before 11 and 10pm was very early. If you want a drink at 10:15 you have to pay. The coke was flat half the time and the drinks come in the tiniest glasses that are gone in 3 sips. No drink dispensers so have to keep going to the bar for refills. The local beer wasnt too bad though and you can also get a few all inclusive cocktails that were ok.

Pool
The pool is small but plenty big enough given how many guests stay here. The pool is all deep - ranging from 1.8m - 2.1m. This is fine for swimming but means you can't really mess about in the pool or play with balls etc as it is too deep. There was enough sunbeds most days although sometimes people would have to set up their towell on the grass.

Location
The hotel isn't in a great location - a little in the middle of nowhere. No bars or restaurants nearby. A Lidl is 10 minute walk to the right of the hotel. Vilamoura is a 15 euro taxi away and Albufeira a 30 euro taxi away. The hotel does put on a daily shuttle bus to the main part of Quarteira and Vilamoura for free which is good.

The staff were all friendly enough and cleaners did a good job.

We wouldn't return, but if you dont set your expectations too high then it's not a bad hotel for the price.

My husband and I stayed here for a week. Overall it was a pleasant stay; the room was massive bigger than I expected which was great and newly refurbished so extremely nice. Most staff are friendly you get one or 2 that you can tell there's no point asking questions to but literally only one or 2 people. Waiting staff are lovely especially her name was Christiana I believe.
We went all inclusive which personally I wouldn't recommend. The big let down of this place was the food which was a shame as the chef was really friendly. It is very basic and by the end of the week we ate out just for variation in the food. But you get what you pay for I wouldn't say the food is nasty just basic.
The location is nice quiet area but as we were a younger couple there wasn't much happening. So if you are looking for a quiet getaway it's perfect for you. I was looking for a quiet holiday but I realised when I got there I probably would have preferred a place with more action like Vilamoura - just some insight for younger people or anyone really who prefers a livelier scene.
Overall nice stay but because it is quite secluded and the food wasn't great I'm not sure if I will come back. But if you are looking for a low cost holiday it's fine.
