As a WW2 buff, I was very pleased to have the chance to see an "Iowa" class WW2 battleship. I was somewhat disappointed that upper works such as the bridge were sealed from public view. In comparison with the North Carolina, the Wisconsin continued in-service up to Desert Storm. Most of he WW2-era secondary guns and all of the smaller anti-aircraft guns are long-gone- replaced by boxes of cruise missile launchers. enjoyed this

Visit this attraction along with Nauticus National Maritime Center. You won't be disappointed. This Battleship has such a history even those land lubbers that never went to sea would enjoy it.

This ship is so massive, it boggles the mind. They have a great tour above and below the waterline. The city has done a great job of maintaining her

We were able to see the ship on the outside, but since we had to travel home, we were not able to wait for the museum to open, or go onto the ship itself. We did, however, get information about the USS Wisconsin from the postings around the dock. There's a really nice park next door, too.
