One of the best free things to do in Virginia. There is something for everyone. The painting and sculptures are on the second floor and the glass work, Egyptian, African and Asian artifacts are on the first floor. Beautiful setting but not the most relaxing environment. When did it become ok to scream and speak loudly in an art museum. There were groups of school children just running around the second floor. I even saw one child touch a statue. There was no one to tell them to be quiet. Some of the adults were just as bad screaming for each other in different rooms and shouting across the galleries. The first floor was much more quiet and considering so much was glass thank goodness the kids weren't running around.
