Near the Chrysler Museum and the Page House B&B, this tiny diner on Grace St. is a real treat for lunch. Wayne, the friendly owner and chef, says they have the best Philly Cheese Steaks in Norfolk. I went there two days in a row and sat at the counter. I tried the chicken Philly with Provolone cheese (instead of the regular Cheese Whiz) and grilled onions on a soft bun. Loved the seasoning! I had a side of tasty cole slaw and a cold beer. Perfect. Next time, I had the special of the day, an Italian sausage sandwich with grilled onions and green peppers. Yum. Friendly, down home service, great grill, good value. I noticed they had fresh potatoes for hand cut fries. While the menu was simple grill fare, they also offered turkey & veggie burgers, wine and local beers. They are open weekdays 10am to 7pm. You can order food to go.
