Spotless, friendly, good value, great location - 10 minutes from the airport but no airplane noise. Gabby in reception couldn't do enough for us and always found the time to ask us about our day's events and adventures. Good food, comfortable beds, quiet location, friendly people. My only reservation in writing this review is that I would like to keep this hotel and location a secret because it will become very popular and they deserve to be, but as we intend to return again this year I hope there will still be a room free for us.
If you like walking there are plenty of local walks and of course the levadas are fantastic in themselves for great walking
We even found the greatest taxi driver who took us all around the island. He spoke perfect English and nothing was too much trouble for him. He was an absolute fund of knowledge and pride in his country and he had a great name too - Horacio.

All in all the perfect holiday. We came back refreshed and, unusually for us, already checking dates and fares for our return visit this year.
