We decided to stay in Quinta Do Seixos for two nights, and wished we could have stayed longer. We opted to stay in the Quinta itself, but would gladly have stayed in their beautiful house (House of the Wren) if we had been there for more time.
The rooms were comfortable, cool, and well furnished. There was plenty of space for us and our two kids (both young adults) to spread out. The views were beautiful, and the location great for exploring the region. Maria Ofelia was the perfect hostess, provided a bountiful breakfast with goodies from her farm, and was invaluable with ideas for places to visit, and ways to enjoy the region. It was a relaxed and wonderful slice of rural life, and an opportunity to experience life on a Quinta that has been part of the restoration effort. For dinners there were two enjoyable restaurants nearby, each of which were charming in their own way.
We highly recommend this place to other travelers - families, couples, or groups looking for a relaxing experience in an authentic agricultural setting.
