“Lived up to expectations again!”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 July 2014 via mobile

Visited this restaurant last night with friends and yet again it did not disappoint. Not usually a creature of habit - but I had exactly the same meal this time as I had on my last visit in May - it was superb once again. 2 of our party had the pasta which they raved about and the chicken breast with cheese on apparantly was also very good. My fillet steak melted in the mouth. Desserts here are also very good & also nice house wine. This restaurant is a real favourite ours. The owner and bar staff are very friendly.

“A taste of Italy in a Spanish White hill village”
4 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 1 July 2014

The Osteria is on the edge of the historic white hill village of Mojacar Pueblo. The Pueblo hosted an artists colony in the 1960's and I suspect that a a few of the colonists are still about. The restaurant provides a comprehensive menu of genuine Italian food. I started with Parma ham and melon and had a main course of Linguine a la Vongole (pasta and clams), one of my favourites to see how they performed, and their chef passed the test with flying colours. There was a good desert menu but we skipped it and moved on to coffee and brandy to finish a good meal. We will certainly be back to this one

“Excellent!!”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 6 June 2014 via mobile

Just had a delightful lunch.
Great secluded location, attentive service and food fantastic as ever.
Goats salad with warm bacon to start followed by home made Tortellini cooked to perfection.
As excellent as ever and such a relaxed atmosphere. Not to be missed!!

“just ok”
3 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 27 May 2014

We like good meals and do not mind paying for them.
However i find that this version of Osteria (as opposed to 2 years ago) does not have the flair or atmosphere of those days. Its not bad but not great either. Just ordinary italian food at slighty overpriced levels.

“Best meal in a long time”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 25 May 2014 via mobile

We went to this restaurant last night with two friends and were amazed how good the food was. starters, pastas, main meals, fish & desserts were all set prices and very reasonable. I had the Palma hams with melted provolone cheese on top with onions & mushrooms, followed by fillet steak on a bed of potato & pate and then banoffee pie. We all agreed that whole meal was delicious and everyone in our party said that this was the nicest meal we've had for ages. The staff were friendly and the service could not be faulted. We will definitely be using this restaurant a lot more now and also spreading the word to our friends.
