This is a fairly haunt of ours and we have yet to have a bad meal here! The night we went - last Wednesday - most of the restaurants along the Playa had a few tables dining whereas the Imperial was literally heaving, they had over 100 covers and that is just what we counted! What did we have this time ... Water (€1,30) Pint x2 (€6.40) Chinese steamed rolls (€3.50) House salad (€3.50) Prawns and cashews in black bean (€7.75) House rice (€4.50) very very good rice! and chicken curry (€4.65) total cost for a very filling meal €31.60. Also offered a couple of shots at the end which we turned down. This restaurant is a 'must visit', please ensure you visit the correct ,Asiatic restaurant' as there is more than 1!!!

Have been visiting this great restaurant since it opened approx 8 years I think. We have never had a bad meal.We do tend to book a table if we are going during the weekend and probably avoid the fiestas as it can get very busy and you will have to wait for your meal. The food is good and the staff are very friendly. The house wine is a good choice.

I dined here with friends on Saturday March 29th. - the second time I have dined here, and again, I enjoyed an excellent dinner beautifully prepared, cooked, and served by friendly willing staff - who were pleased with my very limited words in Mandarin !! The cost of the meal was unbelievably reasonable for such generous quantity and quality, served in a restaurant with lovely ambiance and decor. I have no hesitation in thoroughly recommending a meal here. Booking may be wise as it was fairly full even out of season, whereas other restaurants along the Playa seemed to be almost empty. if you like quality Chinese food, do give this restaurant a try.

This pleasantly decorated Asian restaurant is a jewel on the sprawling ribbon of Mojacar Playa. It is renowned for the quality and variety of its food. The menu is thankfully shorter than it used to be but is still extensive. The dishes are mainly Chinese with a smattering of offerings from other countries in Southeast Asia.

We ate a variety of Chinese and Thai dishes, including Peking Duck. All the food was fresh, there was no hint of frozen or reheated. The duck was excellent and the accompanying pancakes were hot and paper thin. It is worth noting the hot, thin pancakes as other local Chinese restaurants serve the pancakes cold and stodgy.

The service was friendly, fast and efficient without being intrusive. We would recommend this restaurant for groups of friends or couples. The price per head including drinks averaged 20 Euros. For those on a smaller budget, the cost can be reduced by choosing one of the set menus on offer. These set menus offer tasty fare.

My only criticism is that although the Hong kong style spare ribs were very tasty they were too salty.

This restaurant is a good venue for groups. The menu is extensive and the portions are generous. Share a starter or you will have no room for the main course!
It is a bit lacking in atmosphere but always busy. Very good value for money. Booking recommended at weekends.
Ask for a table on the left if you want to chat. It will be quieter.
