Beautiful pool - great beach access - highly recommend the massages for a relaxing afternoon! Loved the bowling alley and arcade - it was a great way to spend the afternoon when everyone was over being in the sun.

This is a large apartment complex offering an excellent holiday experience for all holidaymakers.

The food at mealtimes was very varied and caters for all. I think that it would be impossible not to find something which you like. It was nice to try some 'new' or typical Spanish dishes as one of the things we enjoy about being abroad is eating food we don't have in England. Plenty of hot and cold foods on offer, covering the whole range of meats, cheese, vegetables, fruits and salads as well as pastries and cakes. Always check the 'show cooking' area where the chef prepares other foods as there could be something you prefer here which he will cook to order.

Our apartment was spacious and met our needs perfectly. It was handy to have a fridge and able to control the air conditioning yourself. Our only disappointment was the standard of cleaning which was poor. The maids visited only every other day to empty the bathroom bin and make the beds, with no 'cleaning' done. After a week I got fed up with the floors not being mopped or swept, so used the broom provided in the apartment to do it myself. Also the sheets were only changed once during our fortnight stay. The rep confirmed it would only be done once during our stay, but we have been used to linen change every 3 days with all other holidays and a daily maid service.

We found all the bar and restaurant staff to be very polite and friendly. Some understood us better than others, but between our little Spanish vocabulary and their English we always understood each other!

As others have said, the guests are mostly Spanish, but this is not a problem at all.

I can not comment on the Thomas Cook reps as my children did not participate in any of the clubs. Nothing against the reps, my children just prefer time on the beach and going out exploring.

Regarding the beach, it is just across the road from the hotel. It is long and spacious giving enough room for everybody. My boys would play football on the beach for hours! The sea can be calm and warm, but for a few days it was rough and windy but made for excellent fun jumping the waves etc. On those days we nearly had the beach to ourselves! The beach bar hires out pedaloes, canoes and does banana boat rides.

I found it hard before our holiday to find out information of what we could do or explore in the area. For those people which enjoy this too, I hope that this can help you:
Vera - Take the Line 2, bus. Costs just under 2 euros each. Had a lovely walk around the old town and got a good map from the TIC. Lots of things to see which are all free of charge. We went to the bullring and its museum. The older Spanish gents showing us around were great, very enthusiastic but we couldn't understand everything they said! They will let you swish the matadors cape and even have a little shop with some advertisement posters for sale too.
Garrucha - Line 2 bus again. Very quick journey for 1 euro 20. Roomy & shady promenade, childrens play areas, harbour, more shops, eateries etc. Lovely tiled public drinking area (might need the map from TIC to find it). At the moment there is a replica of a ship which Christopher Columbus sailed upon as a floating museum moored there too. This travels the coast, so may not be there when you visit. Only 2 euros to view. Very interesting.
Carboneras - Line 3 (not very regular service) - very hairy bus ride, but lovely town. Castle free to go round and pretty windmill. Nice walks by harbour and beach. Wonderful public park for children.
Mojacar village - Line 1 - only 1 euro 20. Very pretty village to walk round with cobbled streets and fantastic views from the high viewing point at the top. Worth a visit.

Hope this is of some help, I think that it would be very difficult not to enjoy a happy holiday here! We will not be returning only because we go somewhere different every year for our holiday, there are so many places to experience.....!

I came back from the pueblo indalo 31/07/14, Having spent 2 weeks all inclusive with my wife and 2 children 11/15,
What can I say about the pueblo indalo, This is my honest opinion of the place.. From the moment we arrived, to the very moment we left, you notice how clean the whole complex is.. The apartment's were very clean and were cleaned every other day with fresh towels too with the added bonus of air conditioning which Does'nt cost you anything extra,Now for the food and restaurant, There was a wide variety of foods to choose from every day, Even having international nights and a show chef cooking the burgers, hotdogs and various other meats. When we read previous reviews about the food, which was mentioning it was always repetitive, we just tryed something else, has there was at least a dozen other choices for meals each day , we couldnt praise the staff enough with the amount of people they had to deal with(Gerey and Maria Jose to name a cpl)were excellent and was always clean.. Then you have a snack bar that is open and serving toasties and chips and burgers when ever the restaurant is shut, as well has your drinks and again the staff was excellent there too(Nacho,Inma, Cristina and José Fernando) Finally you have a pool side bar where you were able to get icecreams, lollies, cornetto's and of course your drinks.. There is a small surcharge if you wanted anything that is not included in the all inclusive package.. I.e crisp's which if you brought has a self caterer it would cost 1:30 euro, but with the surchange it would only cost you 50cents and named drinks to carry a surchange, but not bacardi hehe, again the staff at the snack bar were excellent but I never got the guys names, The pools them selves were very clean and maintained every day with life guards situated at both the main pool and kids pool and smaller pools futher up the gardens and on the plus side, plenty of sun loungers. There are tennis courts and other courts at the top of the complex. Then theres the beach just over the road from the complex that is shingle/sandy,which has a lovely little bay where the water is warm and shallow and very popular with english and spanish alike, so advice on that is get there fairly early to get a good spot or one of the many sunloungers that you pay a cpl of euro for, for any budding golfers out there, theres a course not 500 yards away which doesn't charge a great deal for a round, I was told it was 12 euros for an adult and 8 euros for a child. There is a waterpark a bus ride away which provides a bus service right pass the complex at 1:50 euro each way, price of the waterpark is 23 euro an adult and 17 euro a child which goes down after 4:30 to 14 euro an adult and 10 euro for a child, only down side to that is the last bus back to the complex is 7:15.. There is a local bus service(yellow bus) that runs between towns and complex at 1:20 euros, There is so much more I could add to this, from the Spanish entertainment(which they translated in to english) to the pool aqua aerobics, it was an excellent holiday around, but be warned, dont be expecting a english holiday, This is a Spanish complex with the majority of people staying there being spanish, which 99.9% were excellent and polite..
I hope that my honest opinion of pueblo indlo helps you..

i will start by saying please ignore the terrible reviews for this hotel as i cannot understand how people can rate this hotel badly.

we checked in just before 2pm which took a little while due to the amount of people checking in, but we got our keys straight away and made our way to our room, and was pleased to find that our request by email to the hotel for a ground floor room near the small pool had been granted and was placed in VALLE14 right near the pool bar, as for the room well what more could you ask for, even though we were all inclusive we had a seperate kitchen which had a fridge, hob, and everything you would need for self catering even though we were all inclusive, although you did have to hire a kettle if you wanted one which was 15eur which you got back on departure, the apartment was a bit dated but fully functional, and lets face it for the time of year your really only sleeping there and we wasnt disturbed by noisy people, and so what if other people like to stay up later than you and make a noise, theyre on holiday too, just turn over and go back to sleep and ignore it.

the main pool was really busy as you would expect in high season, but we always went in the smaller top pool which was mainly for families and had no problem finding a sunbed and umbrella, the pools dont officially open until 10.30 which wasnt always observed even by us, only one downside to the pool was the people who like to get there at the crack of dawn to put there towels on numerous beds and then then for them not to be used, which is very inconsiderate, they were english people as we are but it clearly states no reserving sunbeds, we always turned up sat wherever, and whenever we went for lunch we removed our belongings.

food and drinks were great, yes there is only one choice of beer which is cruzcampo(lager) which is far better than any rubbish served in the uk, and pretty much anything else you wanted you could have, all spirits are available in the spanish equivelant which always seemed ok, you could even have cocktail but these didnt seem great but when you get all spirits and soft drinks included then order them seperately and make your own, soft drinks were pepsi, lemonade, fruit juices etc,and tea and coffee, and a chocolate milk and large and small bottles of water all these were available at both the main bar in the square or the small pool bar, there were 3 different types of ice cream you could have which were cornetto type ones,2 different ice lollys and a smaller magnum type one, which i think were only available until a certain time but just over order and keep some in the freezer compartment in your room fridge!!

all meals were great and we couldnt find fault at all, if you wanted a full english breakfast then you could find it apart from there was no bacon just like a fried ham, also for breakfast was pancakes, various fruits, salads, cheese, ham, yoghurts, cereal and even chips?? and more

lunch and evening meals were very much the same with meat, fish, salads, veg and there was something different to eat every day for the 7 days we were there, there was different paellas every day, and a couple of days there was carvey meats which were good.

the people who i think that complian about this place are obviously stuck in there ways and dont want to try different things, if you want to eat as you do in the uk and not be adventerous then dont bother going, and stick to benidorm

the entertainment is all in spanish, but guess what your in spain, our 4 year old loved it and even she embraced the spanish language, even the adults find the kids entertainment entertaining, like i said above if you want english entertainment then go to benidorm for your karaoke.

the only downside we found with this place was the time that the pool bar closed which was 6pm which we found was too early as the pool opened until 8pm??

i cant rate mojacar itself as we never ventured out as we didnt find any need to on this occasion with having everything you needed in one place, there was a supermarket onsite and 2 gift shops, a sweet shop and a jewelery/ watch shop, and a cash machine

i could go on but will answer any questions anybody wants to know about this place, but please give it a try, you wont be dissapointed

Room Tip: email the hotel for a room near the small pool at the top, we had valle14 and ask for ground floor i...

well where do i start, i was worried from reading all the bad reviews, but from the moment we arrived i can not understand why people have complained on here. let me point out what we feel was fantastic to us.

we where a family of 2 adults and a 4 year old

our apartment was maybe a little old fashioned, however free air con a bonus, and a fridge and a packed cupboard with cups, plates etc a bonus.

The hotel itself is huge, we had a ground level apartment that over looked the pool bar area, fab location.

pool, we mainly used the top pool for our little girl, as the other pools where quite packed and busy, however there are loads of sun loungers about and loads of areas to sunbathe.

Food, well for us this was amazing, we can not pick any fault with the food,

breakfast, local sausages, scrambled egg, bacon, beans, etc, plus all your normal continental breakfast items, plus fruit and yoghurts etc.

lunch - fabulous salads, fish - meat - etc etc, see photos i have added

Dinner - salads again, plus paella or fish, meat dishes,

there was always a different choice everyday, i can see why some british people moan, mainly those that just was british type food. however for us, we like to try local and different dishes.

Staff, very helpful and always had a smile and our daughter would speak a few word to them in spanish like hola, and addios and so on.

Overall we have had a fab holiday and we would look to come back here again, if anyone as any questions or so on please contact me i would be glad to help, please dont let the negative reviews put you off going here.

Room Tip: we stayed in room valle 14, ground floor, near the pool bar

Just got back today after a fab week! The apartments are traditional Spanish style and the air con is a bonus after being in the 35 degree heat!
The main pool is plenty big enough and the daily aerobics session is good fun as well as a bit of an energy burner. The small pool is also very nice, mainly used by families.
All the staff were friendly and spoke English & understood perfectly well - some of them even had a sense of humour! The Thomas Cook kids club reps were great - I hadn't expected there to be anything for my 15 year old daughter, but they encouraged her to join in and spoke to her when they were off duty too, which made her very happy.
The food was excellent, always plenty of choice and always lots of it - we even tried shark - once was enough though ;-)
We will definitely go back, but probably not in August as it's just a bit too hot for us, but we knew that, but with 340+ days of sunshine you can't go wrong!
Mojacar itself is typically Spanish and has lots of bars & restaurants at very reasonable prices nd the beach stretches for miles!
