The mojacar playa hotel is very basic but clean, the rooms are a nice size,we had a sea view double balcony, towels changed regularly. Whan and Anna are very pleasant.breakfast is continental but good selection.below is a supermarket, so you can get anything there.hotel is located good 10 mins one way to a centre and 25 mins other way to shops and restaurants (walking). The only thing is its not a long stay hotel,a week at most but it's worth the money.

Room Tip: Sea view for the sunrise room 109 has good balcony front and side view.

Had a great stay very Spanish family run hotel, not the best hotel I have ever stayed in but excellent value for money, it was basic, quiet, clean and right on the beach great for a weeks get away, it's a little run down in places but its a 3star not 5, what it lacks in glamour it makes up for in friendliness, I would defiantly recommend this hotel.

Stayed for 5 nights and couldn't really fault anything. Hotel is super clean, family who run this small hotel so hospitable and good breakfast - and at a very good price too! No queuing at breakfast and good choice offered.
We had a sea view room which had a large balcony with stunning views of the sea. The room was large and in good condition with two oversized single beds. The fridge came in useful for drinks etc.
The swimming pool was great - felt like our own private pool as we were the only ones sunbathing!
The hotel is located 2 mins from a shopping centre and with a bus stop outside to go to Mojacar village or the fishing village of Garrucha. Although the area was very quiet it was easy to get to bars and restaurants with more atmosphere.
Bottom line - yes I would stay here again and recommend the hotel to anyone looking to stay somewhere typically Spanish.

Room Tip: Room 112 has great views

We were in a hurry and the names of the hotels were similar so booked this one by accident. We found it easily enough and it has a good location overlooking the beach. Our room had a sizeable balcony looking east so we had a lovely sunrise in the morning. The room was not overlarge and contained two almost double twin beds! Plus a full-sized fridge, (useful for keeping water etc cold) Decor was tired and I don't think the Hotel Inspector would have been too impressed but, but the staff were lovely. Very helpful and pleasant and nothing too much trouble. WiFi in the rooms but a more powerful signal in the lounge/lobby/dining room. Breakfast was very Spanish (which we enjoy) but could have been full cooked if we had wanted. Plenty of everything. Beds reasonably comfortable. Plenty of hot water and full sized bath. A short stroll to beach cafe, shopping centre, pharmacy and banks, the hotel even had a small supermarket underneath! Yes, I would go there again if visiting the area but I think two or three nights would be enough.

Room Tip: Ask for room overlooking beach. On east side.

We stayed at this hotel for 4 nights. It should have been a week but we decided to leave early because the facilities were none existant. On the positive side the staff are very friendly and hospitable. I get the feeling that it is family run and everyone seemed to chip in. The beds were not very comfortable although if you only needed one of the 3/4 size beds you were probably ok. There were two beds in the room but none of them doubles and just a bit bigger than singles. There was a nice sea view from the balcony too.

However, for someone who isn't Spanish, that's as good as it got. There was a TV in the room which was tiny and which had no English channels apart from Sky News international.

Breakfast was quite poor. There were cereals and some pastries and bread rolls but if you wanted meats and cheeses you had to ask. Even then there wasn't much to select from. You felt a bit embarrassed to ask actually. There were also no eggs. I'm not after a full English by any means, we're in Spain after all, but most hotels I ever went to, especially at a supposed 3 star, had a much bigger and better selection. You can also usually have as much coffee as you want but here I felt that you were only given one as they were especially made.

Given the lack of breakfast and facilities we decided to leave early as we'd secured a half board deal at a bigger hotel. They had to charge us the agents commission for the rest of our booking which wasn't much so that wasn't a problem and the lady at reception appeared to feel bad about this and in turn I also felt bad for leaving but we couldn't have stayed any longer or we'd have been bored sensless.

Having said all that, if you want a quick stopover for a night or two, it's cheap enough and friendly enough to consider. For any longer you need to book somewhere with better facilities.

We enjoyed our stay so much that we are returning in a month fo another stay. The beds were very comfortable and had a lovely balcony overlooking the sea. The room was spotless with TV and fridge. The bathroom was also spotless with clean towels every day. The breakfast was delicious. The family owners and staff were charming, friendly and extremely helpful, Hotel is well situated with ample car parking.

We were at this hotel for 4 nights. The good size room, with a seaview, was spotlessly clean as was the balcony and furniture. Buffet breakfast was a reasonable size, included in the price and pleasantly served. The blue and white colour scheme was very Spanish in style. There were however no internet computers available and when we tried to access the wireless internet on our phones there was only a poor signal. However overall we enjoyed our stay.
