Just returned home from from clc world.first class apartment with all mod cons and spotlessly clean.Site well maintained and food in various locations around resort was of a good standard and price.Went to a presentation on monday morning which lasted about 4hours but this included a tour of two apartments and breakfast.when told this was not for us they thanked us for attending and gave us a lift back to our apartment. We enjoyed our time there but the entertainment in the bars was not for us.A very good product but very overpriced with no definate promise that you would get the weeks you wanted.Would i go again, probably not.Despite this dont let this put you off going as its a week in the sun in a good standard of accomadation.

Myself and husband booked this cheap getaway after being contacted by phone offering a promotional holiday for £99 on the condition we both attend a morning/afternoon marketing presentation we were told would last approximately 3 hours or so. We would not normally have taken them up on the offer as we knew they would do their best to get us signed up for a 'fractional share'. A week before departure my daughter & friend decided to join us at no additional cost as we had been allocated a 1 bedroomed apartment with a sofa bed that sleep two people in the lounge. We could have upgraded to a 2 bedroomed apartment for an extra 99 euros but didn't bother. We arrived at Malaga and took the train 2.65 euros each to Fuengirola then caught a taxi for 13 euros. Upon arrival we were greeted by members of staff who helped with our luggage while we registered at reception. The staff were very friendly and efficient and we were given folders that contained information about the complex and the facilities. we were allocated room 191 which is in Marina Del Sol just round the corner from the main reception. To our surprise be found we had been allocated a two bedroomed apartment which was nicer for the girls than having to sleep on a sofa bed, although they were getting a free holiday! A nice bonus was the fact we had a lovely sea and pool view. The complex is very elevated and the way many of the apartments are situated the majority would have sea or pool views which is a nice. We found the accommodation to be modern and off a very good standard and was spotlessly clean. We suspect it may have been refurbished in recent years and had a spacious separate kitchen with breakfast bar. All the necessary facilities were included ie washing machine microwave coffee machine hairdryer etc. We really appreciated receiving a basic food package on arrival which included the essentials such as bread eggs milk jam butter water until we found our way around. The whole complex is immaculate with colourful well tended gardens/communal areas. We found our apartment to be ideally situated for all the main facilities such as pools, restaurants, mini market supermarket etc although far enough from the restaurants/pools etc for it not to be affected by noise etc. We had the use of two pools. The quieter one in front of our apartment, which we preferred and the other one at Zacary's restaurant. There were several restaurants which all served similar food which we found to be on the expensive side .It was much more cost effective to buy a few basic provisions from the small supermarket or go into Fuengirola in the evening for a nice meal. It took about 10 minutes to walk to the start of the beach, the nearest part which allows dogs. The complex was separated from the beach by a dual carriageway but there is an underpass to the beach or you can use the footbridge over the road. the beaches are immaculate and racked and cleaned daily and stretch for miles. At the start of the holiday I did not like what I had seen so far of Fuengirola as although it has a lovely castle set on a hill some of the empty shops/bucket & spade shops/greasy spoon establishments aimed at the Brits gave a bit of a downmarket feel to the town,However upon exploring a little further over the week we found the real Fuengirola. Lovely quaint, characterful buildings along the side streets lined with nice restaurants bursting at the seems with diners opening onto pretty little squares which led onto the main shopping area with little boutiques alongside UK high street shops-A complete contrast to my initial impression of Fuengirola. It also has a lovely harbour and some very reasonable restaurants although it is a bit tucked away. You may not realise it's there unless you stumble across it. Although we arrived on Sunday our marketing presentation was not until Thursday. we were collected at 9.15 and taken to breakfast to include a full English breakfast, after which we were taken to a marketing suite where they tried their best to sell us a 'fractional share' for £20,000 with annual maintenance of around £800.
I was honest and told them I thought it way to expensive, at which point my husband told them he was not interested and started to leave. The atmosphere turned very cool suddenly and as we left we were stopped at the door with another offer of an even less attractive deal of an entry level share for a limited time of 3 years only for £10,000. When they could see we were not interested they let us leave. the following morning we had a member of staff come to our apartment early in the morning asking my husband to complete a survey and asked our reasons for not going ahead. Once this was out the way we were left alone to enjoy the remainder of our stay. All in all we had a very enjoyable first visit to mainland Spain and would consider returning to this area but not on a marketing promotion

The old saying that you never look a gift horse in the mouth was certainly applicable when a letter arrived offering an apartment for a week at Club La Costa World near Fuengirola at no charge.
Our outlay entailed the air fares and food in the self-catering premises.
The only caveat was that we attend a presentation which aimed to convince us of the wisdom of parting with our money in exchange for a share in the apartments at this quite impressive complex.
Arriving on a Saturday we were pleasantly surprised to find a 'welcome package' consisting of the basic foodstuffs to get us through until we stocked up from the local supermarket within the complex.
The quality of the two-bedroom apartment was excellent as was the access to a beautiful area encompassing a non-heated pool and plenty of space to relax in loungers.
Staff were more than helpful especially the porters who ferried us back and forward when necessary. Car hire though is essential to explore the towns along the coast.
The complex boasts some good restaurants and play facilities but is generally very quiet particularly at at night with most people opting to eat out in the nearby towns.
We had no option but to attend a presentation on the Sunday morning which was preceded by an excellent breakfast in the Safari.
The sales pitch began at 9.15 a.m. and lasted for more than six hours during which time we were given a detailed account about the benefits of investing in Club La Costa World which would not only enable us to stay in Spain but also have access throughout the world.
The whole presentation is cleverly structured with your every movement and reaction monitored. What made it entirely unconvincing was the way in which the investment was broken up into fractional 'belonging' with points being amassed along the way to provide a better quality holiday. At the end of it we were bamboozled by facts and figures but not to a degree that we didn't figure out that it wasn't for us.
Pressure from the two reps who were assigned to our table was subtle but not overpowering and once they realised that no meant no, that was it. We were then able to enjoy the rest of our holiday with no pressure.
Club La Costa 'imports' hundreds of people to their complex each year in an effort to persuade them to 'join up' through a quite slick presentation and the net is bound to catch many particularly as those selling are rumoured to be receiving in excess of one thousand euros per sale- nice money if you can get it.
We would offer no criticism of this complex. The weather smiled kindly on us in the early part of May and every request made to reception was treated with courtesy and efficiency. We even had a 57 euro voucher to spend in the process.
We were given a short tour of some of the suites at this venue and found them to be exceptionally good. The only problem is that it is simply too expensive - in our opinion that is.

Room Tip: Ask for apartment in 'BC' area. You'll find it's so close to pool, supermarket and r...

We stayed here for a week, from the very start through to the end the customer service from all the staff was first class. The apartment itself was spacious, very clean and well equipped including dishwasher and washing machine. The balcony was huge and the views terrific. The resort was constantly maintained by gardeners and cleaners keeping the whole place clean and tidy. A very impressive place. Located a short walk from the nearest beach and a 20 min walk from Fuengirola town its location is good enough.

Great resort with helpful staff. The pools were clean and fun.
A fantastic little train to take kids and family around the resort. Childrens parks and pools all over the resort.
The beach is very close just across a road which is a major highway but there are bridges and tunnels to get to the other side. We had a rental car but I believe there are transport easily available to town and the airport. If you fancy walking Fuengirola is only 10 minutes walk away.

I found a litle secret in this place nice and plenty of space,it is a huge earea with many houses, many pools and are particularly good for families with small children. They have their own litle train that drives aorund the property, because it is to far to walk from one end to the other.
There are many resaturants but it is to far appart to visit them all. They have heated pool for children and their one child club, but the staff wasen`t really interessted in children so that was no suksess. The hotel/resort could do more to take advantage of their possebillities,If you disregard that it is a time share resort, and that is few grosery stores for foood you can have a nice and price worthy vacation.

Room Tip: Try to get a roome close to the reception, that is the place where the action is and here are more r...

We booked this holiday through our timeshare company, and as such, we were spared the marketing presentation that many previous reviewers have had to suffer through.

The resort is built on hilly terrain across the highway from the Mediterranean. The steep inclines might cause some problems for people with strollers or difficulty walking. You need to cross the highway via an overpass to get to the beach, which is small. We didn't spend much time by the sea, but I would recommend driving to the small town of Cala de Mijas for a larger beach (it also has a street market on Tuesdays and Saturdays, which is a great place to pick up souvenirs). The resort has several restaurants and pools, though we didn't spend much time at either one. Most of their restaurants have the same menu and the same prices.

Our apartment was well-situated in the 200-block, close to the reception and to Zacary's and El Rancho, with a view of the coast and the sea. The furniture was nicely maintained, if a bit dated. The apartment also had a tiny kitchen - so small that only one person can stand there comfortably at any given time - but it was nice to be able to make breakfast in our unit prior to heading out for the day. We had a 2-bed, 1.5 bath apartment. A word of caution about the bathroom: all of us slipped in the bathtub at some point. Be careful when showering! Also, for any light sleepers out there: this resort is located on a windy hillside and you will hear the wind whistling through windows and doors all night. If this will bother you, bring ear plugs. The resort does have WiFi, but it was spotty and unreliable in our area. Management informed us that they are in the process of placing routers in every unit, so in the near future that problem should be resolved.

We used the resort as a base for exploring the Costa del Sol. It was really well located for taking day-trips to Malaga, Granada, Gibraltar, etc. While you're out and about, I recommend taking in a flamenco show in one of the larger towns or cities. We went to El Castillo, which is outside of the resort but just a few steps from Zacary's, and it was disappointing. If you have young children or are not a big dance enthusiast, you can go to El Castillo for the flamenco. Otherwise, avoid it! No live music, mediocre food, although the staff and the dancers were very friendly.
