I've visited this restaurant several times of the last few years and this trip certainly had to be one of the best I've here so far.
After a big warm welcome, we were seated at the lounge area to start where we were given our first drink along with some nuts, olives and breadsticks accompanying too. Once seated at the table, our starters arrived shortly afterwards.
I had salmon twist to start which was very nice, but there wasn't near enough of it seeing two minuscule bits of salmon with prawns on a large white plate. Ironically it's also the most expensive salmon dish I've had too yet being the smallest.
Whilst not the best start, things went strongly uphill for main course which I ordered the steak. This was no ordinary steak as a giant cut of the meat arrived on my plate, which was very rich and tender in flavour with not a single bit of waste and was probably the best steak I've ever eaten. The assorted vegetables alongside were also really nice, involving roast potatoes, carrots and broccoli.
I had sorbet for dessert which was just as good, nice portion which was fresh, juicy and absolutely loverly.
Later that evening entertainment kicked off which involved a singer and DJ/piano duo who did a pretty good job of doing the music that night, although it's a shame Pierce Webb is not performing much there now, however they were still very good.
Overall a very good meal and despite the rather disappointing starter (due to lack of quantity), the rest of the meal strongly made up for it as well as the amazing rich atmosphere that night and friendly staff there too.
Would recommend a visit to this restaurant, although it's not in any way cheap but certainly worth it if you're after a high quality meal and evening out.
