“Love Club Marbella!!”
Reviewed 10 April 2014

We recently returned from a week long stay at Club Marbella. We enjoyed our time at the resort. The two bedroom apartment was very nice. Maria, is full of energy and lots of fun. She is a great member of the Club Marbella Team!! She danced with my baby so I could enjoy the Sangria demonstration. She interacted with all of the kids and adults. The pool awesome. Good restaurants in close proximity.(walking or driving) I thought the location was great to see local sights and to venture out to Gibraltar, Ronda, Granada and Cordoba. We also had a chance to drive to Juzcar (Smurftown). Easy and beautiful drive.

Room Tip: If you don't want to hear the music from the pool or the lounge area at night request a room awa...

Just back from a week's stay at Club Marbella. We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in a lovely, clean 2 bed apartment. It was split over 2 floors - bedrooms and bathrooms downstairs, kitchen, dining and living area and balcony on entrance door level. The kitchen was fresh and new with good utensils, pots and pans. Our balcony overlooked the pool and had sun through to about 3 pm. We ate at Cafe Marbella on 2 evenings - all you can eat buffet which had lots of choice - soup, salads, meat, pasta, fish, vegetarian, cakes, ice-cream, fruit - simply loads of choice for 11 euros! Well worth it! All staff were very helpful and friendly. lovely resort.

My wife and I recently returned from a four week holiday in a two bedroom/two bathroom apartment in the Regency Palms section of Club Marbella at Crown Resorts on the Costa del Sol. The resort is one of the best we have used.
The apartment was very large and quite luxurious. The kitchen is separated from the lounge area, which we prefer. It has a full cooker, large fridge, microwave, toaster, kettle, coffee maker, washing machine and adequate utensils, cutlery and crockery. Also, the use of an interconnecting door meant that the second bedroom and bathroom can be made private from the rest of the apartment. Very handy if you have two couples in residence, or to avoid disturbing sleeping children in the second bedroom.
The apartment looked out on one side over a lovely enclosed courtyard with orange trees and sheltered seating and a quiet access road on the other side, where there is a good size patio. There is no aircon, but there are large ceiling fans in the bedrooms and lounge. Also, the kitchen window is barred, so it’s possible to open it and have a through flow of cooling air without compromising the security of the premises.
There is an outdoor pool which is heated in cool weather, plus a heated indoor pool with separate Jacuzzi in the leisure complex. The gym is full of good equipment and there is a separate room dedicated to three pool tables. There are two saunas. There is mini golf, a children’s play area and a boules court outside.
We only ate in the restaurant twice, as we were often out, but can confirm that the food is quite adequate. The bar is well stocked and there is entertainment most evenings.
There are free wifi hotspots and you can pay extra for access to wifi in the whole resort.
The staff are very helpful and considerate. They will happily book excursions and give you advice on outings.
There is a courtesy bus which connects the resort with the beach and nearby town. There are restaurants and a minimart nearby, but it is a good walk beyond them to the seafront and larger shops. I would suggest you taxi or hire a car if you intend to travel independently. Marbella is about 7 miles away and Fuengirola about the same.

Room Tip: Some apartments are on the little square with the orange trees and these are quiet but don't hav...

We stayed at the Crown Resort, Calahonda approx 12km west of Feungerola.

This is a superb little resort with well appointed apartments. Shops, bars and beaches all within easy reach.

The Marbella Cafe is a comfortable retreat a the end of the day. The staff are all friendly and welcoming and the resort spotlessly clean.

For a good value holiday on Costa Del Sol this is well worth checking out.

Stayed here in 07/08/12 with my family of 6, it's a nice big resort situated in a quieter more relaxed part of Spain, our s/c apartment was excellent for what we needed it for it was a nice base for us to return to after exploring the costa del sol, lots of things to keep everyone occupied in the actual resort too nice big pool and health suite, gym games area etc, the onsite restaurant and bar was good too, local shops and beach where accessible by daily shuttle bus service provided by the resort, all in all a great holiday, would defo return, they do invite you to attend a short timeshare seminar with the lure of a bottle of proseco but this is at your own discretion no need to attend if you don't want.

Room Tip: The s/c apartments are clean, fresh, big and well equipped for family needs.

The refurbished apartments are really nice, but still don't have a dishwasher which makes a self-catering holiday much more arduous - surely not acceptable in 2014?! The pool area felt quite cramped and hemmed in, even though the resort wasn't busy. You need transport to get to the beach, but they do have a shuttle bus. The location is good for trips to Malaga, Gibraltar etc., though be aware that if you use the toll road this can get very expensive! Don't bother with the timeshare spiel unless you're really interested in buying - they waffle on interminably without properly answering any questions! Given that it was half term, there didn't seem to be any organised children's activities - even the games room was permanently locked. The buffet breakfast was very good, and very reasonably priced at less than 7 euros. Some British hotels which charge £20+ for similar should take note! Also note that wifi is only free in the common areas, and is switched off at 6.30 p.m!
