I am currently at the Grangefield and am sorry to report that the service has gone downhill in the last year (basically since Petchy Leisure has been bought out). It's still a nice place and the vast majority of the staff are very good. It housekeeping isn't as thorough as it once was, the restaurant food is not as good as it used to be, all in all, a bit of a disappointment, luckily we have a hire car so can visit restaurants off site with ease, it's not so good for those without transport. Oh, also, only 2 English channels on the TV system now (We are Infinity members and expect better), Sky new and True Movies1 (Showing ancient films) - no BBC1 or ITV !!

Room Tip: The Car Park side get more sun on the balcony

We booked this through Lastminute and were not disappointed.
We are a family of 5 and usually need 2 rooms in a hotel, so this apartment, self-catering ideas was good for us - restaurant and entertainment if you need it, or pool and do it all yourself if you want to opt out.
Clean rooms, fab pool, great singer on Mondays.
Downside - pay for wifi and shuttle (20 euros).
Great for families who want to have a relaxed, fun time ( we had only 1 oik and his wife who wanted the pool to themselves as they decided to give swimming lessons to their kid) - all nationalities present and all friendly.

Room Tip: Don't pick J or K areas (near pool) - even if you do, the noise level is turned down after 10 pm...

My friend and i stayed here for 6 nights. Apartment was clean and reasonable and given we paid £149 for the 6 nights was gr8 value. The pools were nice, having to pay for wifi and use of the safe in 2014 is a bit outdated... ! The location is at the top of a long hill and not central to any amenities... If u have hired a car and just need a base then this is good value...

We felt description is misleading. It is NOT close the beach, shops and restaurants. You definitely need a car. The resort does provide a limited shuttle bus but along with everything else, you have to pay. Lots of steps even to get to your apartment so not good if you are at all dodgy walking and/or disabled. The pool was nice although pool side furniture could have done with upgrading. We eat a couple of times in the restaurants, food was ok but I wouldn't recommend eating Sunday breakfast, awful (and over priced). Room was good as far as space etc but until we asked the toiletries were a bit scarce. Overall, we wouldn't go back.

Room Tip: Get a room on the back

If you are looking for value for money, a pool and nothing more, this could be the place for you. The rooms are clean, and staff are friendly. However, you do need a car if you want to get around, the resort is not walking distance to anything. The restaurant is not wow, but is ok for a quick snack, and not too pricey considering its a resort.

Negatives: Not too suitable for disabled persons, or persons with children. The resort has lots of stairs, and access to the pool area can be awkward depending on which apartment you are staying at. Additionally, there are no lifts which could be a problem for elderly persons etc. The pool area is not particularly huge, so can see finding a nice spot with shade in the peak season a little hard.

Beds a litte bit on the uncomfy side, also quite squeeky.

Check in and Check out time is a little odd, checkout is at 17:00 and checkout is at 10:00. Found the early checkout a little difficult, especially with kids, having to give them breakfast, pack, and get out of the room, though i suppose its not huge deal either, though checkout at 12:00 would have been nicer. The pool closes at 19:00, which wasn't a problem for myself, but i would imagine some people wanting to stay a little longer by the pool, especially as it is still quite warm until 20:00.

I noticed that the patio/terrace areas varied a lot from apartment to apartment. I suggest that if you are interested in going to this resort, ask for a ground floor with a garden area. High floors have no lifts so no good for people with children or elderly people.

Room Tip: Ask for a low floor, garden apartment.

Really enjoyed our week here. Only downside is you need transport. Complex has shuttle bus which was excellent. Lots of stairs at complex so no use for anyone with walking or health problems. Apartment was lovely. Very spacious and had everything we needed. All staff were friendly and helpful. On site restaurant nice. Also pool bar.
