“Perfecto!!!”

My family and I have just stayed at Casita Micas for 8 days. If you are looking for, like we were, a 'getting away from it all,' relaxing holiday with fantastic views, great swimming pool, peace and quiet and value for money then look no further.
The owners were away when we stayed but we were let in and looked after by a friend/neighbour and were assured if they were there they would have stayed out of view. Although fairly basic, it is a great little place with everything you'll need. It's slightly off the beaten track and you will definitely need a car but that's exactly what we wanted. We all loved the large pool and used it every single day. There are areas for both sun bathing and dining and also areas in the shade. It has a shallow end and a deep end for diving. The views are stunning both during the day and at night and even the great photos of this don't really do it justice. We made use of the BBQ on 3 nights and stocked the adequate fridge up with alcohol and essentials from some of the super markets which are a 10 or so minute drive away. A mixture of ceiling fans and air con kept it bearable inside during what was a very hot week when we stayed. Towels are provided for both around the pool and shower rooms which was a bonus and the kitchen, lounge and bedrooms have all you need for a home from home stay. The only very slight issue to mention was that the wifi was only in range when we were outside, (only an issue for the kids, it was a bonus for me!!!) however the weather was so good for us that we were always outside until bed time. Thank you Christine, we are so glad we found this little oasis, we will be recommending it to others and staying here again in the future.

Thanks Simon for your lovely review, I'm glad you all enjoyed the place so much. We have tried to get better wifi for the casita but we have pretty dire signals for it in our own place. It's not like being in the uk....but seemed to work for you at least lol! Please feel free to tell as many people as possible.
Thanks again for booking with us,
Kind regards
Christine

“Peace and Quiet with Stunning Views”
Reviewed 18 July 2017 for a stay in June 2017

Lovely little property in a beautiful part of Spain; with great views towards the sea and over the surrounding countryside. The Casita is comfortably furnished and well equipped. Although co-located with the main property, we found it secluded enough and private whilst comforting to know Christine was close by (sorry we got locked out on day one!). Thank you for a lovely stay .

“Location, Location, Location!”
Reviewed 10 September 2016 for a stay in September 2016

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Casita Micas. After a friendly welcome we settled in to enjoy the peace and quiet. Set in a very rural location in the hills near the attractive village of Bedar it comes with stunning views from the terrace/swimming pool. If you hanker for a break from the rat-race for a few days, this takes some beating. Everything is provided for a relaxing holiday. We are normally out exploring every day when on holiday but the views and atmosphere of this place persuaded us to rest up more than normal. The area is so varied and has its own arid beauty - you can be down on the beach at Mojacar Playa in the morning and can then be having a beer in a mountain bar in the afternoon. There are some very good drinking/eating places locally in Bedar (which also has its own bakery and two small supermarkets). Further afield there are greater choices in Turre and Mojacar. We plan to return in 2017 - I guess that's the best recommendation we can give!

“The Best Holiday location i have ever stayed at.”
Reviewed 8 July 2016 for a stay in June 2016

Just returned from a two weeks holiday at Casita Micas and words can not do it justice.
The Casita is equipped with everything you could possibly need and is in such a beautiful, peaceful and idyllic location. The owners, (Really lovely people) are there if required though keep away from view and allow you to have an uninterrupted stay. The wildlife we saw included four Wild Ibex, an European Eagle owl, Wild Tortoises and Bee Eaters flying by. We hated leaving the place but will definitely be returning, it is a credit to the owners, Christine and Michael.
Thank you

“We thought we had died and gone to heaven”
Reviewed 20 June 2016 for a stay in June 2016

I don't normally do reviews but really have to this time, particularly as I booked this villa based on previous reviews on Trip Advisor - which were "spot on".
The booking process could not have been easier and Christine (the owner) was really helpful, via emails, with directions/arrangements etc. The villa has truly spectacular views from the pool (yes, the photos on the website are for real) and was really clean and well equipped with absolutely everything that we needed, including, for once, a really comfy bed and plenty of poolside loungers, cushions and shades etc
If you want to completely get away to somewhere with absolute peace and quiet then this is for you. As our first holiday in 22 years without children it was just what we wamted.
All that seclusion does come at a price, in that it is a good 10 minute drive up into the hills from Bedar (so you have to stay sober or do a very long walk).
The villa is overlooked by the owner's adjacent property but they were not there when we were there. I am sure, if they were there, that they would leave you to get on with your holiday without interfering unless needed. Even though we never actually met Christine she clearly wanted to make sure that we had a perfect holiday.
The old town of Mojacar (Pueblo) is about a 20 min drive and is fantastic with loads of lovely restaurants (many with open air roof top terraces - yes, more great views) and small boutique type shops. Beaches at Mojacar Playa were fine and the resort is far more "Spanish" than many others in Spain and so was not dominated by English Pubs selling Ham Egg and Chips or noisy nightclubs. More a place to slowly perambulate along the promenade as the sun sets.
Probably not a villa for those with very young children or moody teenagers wanting a full on nightlife but, for anyone wanting to completely get away from the hustle and bustle of normality, Casita Micas is absolutely perfect.
Would be back there tomorrow if I could.

“An oasis of calm”
Reviewed 17 August 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We stayed for 2 weeks, the place is tranquil and peaceful. If you want a restful get away from it break this is the place. The Villa is clean and very comfortable with everything you need, the pool area is good and you have the sun there all day. Bedar, is the closest village 5- 10 mins. Mojacar - coast/beach/bars about 25 mins.
