“Peace and tranquillity in a five star setting”
Reviewed 19 March 2014

Anyone wishing to relax away from the bustle of today's world this is the place to be. Set in beautiful, typical Andalucian countryside with kilometres of relaxing adjacent walks yet having easy access to Granada and Cordoba. The hotel's Moorish architecture, whilst having new extensions, is sympathetically designed to blend perfectly with the older building and the internal decor likewise looks old and in keeping. Perfect..
The staff could not have been more attentive in every department. Our Suite, breakfast and all meals were of the highest standard and both restaurants lived up to their impressive reputations. Shall we return? An emphatic YES as we could find no faults. Dr McKee

Room Tip: Request a room with a view and terrace on an upper floor but obviously more expensive.

70 room hotel- set among a wonderful countryside setting .
An hour from Malaga and Granada. Fabulous oversize bathrooms with all amenities.
Wonderful walks and trails just outside the door. Spectacular architecture (moorish) and great windows . A treat.
The continental dining room could easily be skipped - the food was mediocre.

I am fussy. Really fussy. La Bobadilla prides itself on excellent service. And it succeeds. We had a suite which was beautiful. The situation so quiet and yet close to the motorway. The food in both restaurants wonderful. The service in the restaurants was perfect. It's a perfect romantic retreat and half way house between Malaga and Al Hambra. Breakfast was impressive - great variety - easy buffet style. Yes La Finca restaurant is pricey - but it's in keeping with restaurants of its calibre. Remember there are two great restaurants here. La Finca more formal and the other less so - also beautiful food.

Room Tip: If you want quiet tell them. Ask them to explain their rooms. They'll do whatever they can to ma...

Gorgeous 70 room luxury hotel in the hills of Andalucia. We stayed in shoulder season, and the hotel was not crowded, nor was the pool open. But we did enjoy horseback riding, and two meals in El Cortijo restaurant. The chef of this restaurant is fabulous, and we are some of our best meals on our 3 week trip in Spain at this property. The service at this hotel is absolutely premier, and we felt spoiled after our several day stay. Breakfast was amazing, lots of trails to hike on, and a nice quiet property for reading and contemplation. I highly recommend this hotel.

Stayed here with 70 other guests for an event. The rooms were fantastic and very clean. The setting was absolutely amazing and the views are superb. I couldn't actually fault my stay here at all. Felt slightly sorry for other guests which may have turned up when we were all having a party. Would definitely stay again.

This hotel is simply the best! We chose to stay here because of its proximity to the Alhambra. The hotel is definitely one of a kind in terms of delivering excellent service and is remote enough to create a sense of being in a world that is truly a slice of heaven. The breakfast buffet was excellent as was the restaurant for dinner.

Went to El Cortijo for a special holiday meal. Compared to the local bars and grills the hotel is very swanky although it doesn't feel at all pretentious. The location is fantastic with the hotel buildings simply stunning. Service is exemplary. Nothing is too much trouble. Unfortunately the food wasn't quite up to the price tag. Although enjoyable for 100 euros for 2 courses and only a couple of drinks I expected more. I would still recommend as you feel really special there. Just choose from the menu carefully.
