Owner description: The golf course, Canyamel Golf, situated in the northeast of Mallorca, boasts a diverse menu for the golfer and is distinguished for being of the most beautiful golf courses on the island. José Gancedo designed this 18 hole golf course (par 73) with the philosophy of doing the least damage to Mallorca by adapting the course to the natural topography of the land. The main characteristic of our champ is the quality and the speed of its greens, as well as being a course conceived for the player of all levels, makes playing on this course a complete experience.Score Card:Par: 73Number of Holes: 18TeesYellow: 5.982 m. - VC. 71'5 - VS. 128Red: 5.356 m. - VC. 74'0 - VS. 125PRO: D. “Arrogant staff”
Reviewed 3 April 2014

Wonderful golf course!

However, the staff are incredibly arrogant and only seem to cater for the older, German customer. I went there 30 minutes before sunset, a few days before the day of my teetime and politely asked if i could hit a few putts on their practice green(in the rain). Even though I was aware of the fact that they charge you a fee of around 8 euros to use the whole practice facility (driving range, short game area and putting green), I had hoped they would let me hit a few putts on an otherwise empty practice green for 15 minutes or so. The woman behind the counter was obviously under strict supervision when I asked her kindly in the pro-shop. A couple of seconds later a Sith-like German was arrogantly telling me how it didn't matter if I had a teetime the day after (the 100€ greenfee was irrelevant apparently). A real shame, considering there is a handful of courses within a five minute drive

“Good course with great food”
Reviewed 9 July 2013

A very good course with greens that were of very mixed playing surface quality on the occasion of our visit on July 7th. The starting holes were in parts hollow tined and recently patch sanded. There appeared to be patchy disease on some greens leaving the grass in spots very yellowed. Nonetheless they played very well. Green fees were rather pricey given the cosmetic appearances of the greens. The alfresco dining area is very attractive and relaxing. On the day we dined there had been a change of chefs; so the menu choice was temporarily very limited. It was however a fantastic meal given that the hastily revamped menu had literally been hand written up for us in the kitchen. We have eaten here many times in the past and have never been disappointed.

“Beautiful course”
Reviewed 10 June 2013

A tough course but really enjoyable to play. Sadly on the day I played there they were sanding 6 of the greens but the gentleman in the club shop (didn't catch his name) was very apologetic and only charged half the fee and didn't charge us for hiring the buggy. As it happens only 3 of the greens were out of commission anyway and the ones which had been sanded still ran true. We played early which was wise as a midday finish meant that we missed the scorching afternoon sun. Would recommend getting a buggy as parts of the course are in the mountains (don't think I'd have made it round without). The last hole makes the round, 200 yard par 3 with a three tiered green, if the pin is on the back, whatever club you think you want to hit, go one bigger and get on to the top level or you might 4 putt like .... errr ... someone I know did.

“Nice but pricey course”
Reviewed 7 October 2012

I have played here many times and the course never disappoints. The course is also never too busy, especially if you play in the afternoon you sometimes won't see another player around. However it is quite pricey.
