Quite incredible and a must see. We walked from Playa Canyamel. 20 mins or so but quite a trek for those not so mobile. If achievable it is well worth walking as the views on route are fantastic. If not you can drive or get the bus as there is parking when you arrive. Paying the 13 euros only becomes obvious as to why once you have been in. A truly spectacular natural wonder that just has to be seen. Our guide spoke in all the languages of those present on the tour and added to the experience.

Excellent place and one we were very glad we visited.

“Really enjoyable”
Reviewed 2 June 2014

We only had to wait 3 minutes for the next tour to start (apparently other more advertised caves in the area can have very long queues). Plenty of parking, either down at the caves entrance or 2min walk up the road. The guide was excellent, spoke in German,Spanish and English throughout. It has the tallest stalactite in Europe and even the slightly over dramatised light and music show in one of the caves was enjoyable. We really enjoyed our visit to these caves, with a few to choose from on the island, we would recommend these.

“Truly Magnificent Natural Caves”
Reviewed 29 May 2014

These are truly magnificent natural caves. We'd only chosen to go these as the weather wasn't behaving itself and we needed to keep busy. So glad we did.

Drove to the caves, parked up and walked the short road to the caves entrance. Price of admission seemed a little on the dear side for a cave, however it's well worth it for the shear spectacle. You are guided throughout the tour by a very skilled multi-lingual guide.

You initially walk down a small corridor, nothing special and then turn a corner and are presented with the most spectacular cavern of stalagmites and stalactites. So many different formations, small and large.

The tour continues through the caverns and caves, there is a musical section with lights (bit cheesy but quite nice) You see the tallest stalagmite in Europe and some amazing 'wave' formations.

The tour might not be suitable for those who don't like small spaces, slippery rock paths, being in the dark and there are quite a few stairs both up and down.

“Cuevas interesantes”
Reviewed 20 May 2014

In terms of caves, this is an amazing, impressive place. It reminds you of what a marvelous living being our planet is and the wonderful things mother nature is able to create. The most impressive view? When you are exiting the cave and you get the most amazing view of the ocean from the cave's entrance.

However, in order to make this cave tourist accessible, it has been seriously intervened and some stalagmites and stalactites have been cut to make sure no one gets hurt through the walk or people are able to walk along the path.I guess that's the price to pay...

On the other side, our guide, a guy named Jordi, was EXTREMELY rude to my group. He was impatient, rude, talked back and completely disregarded the fact that we were visiting with 3 kids and he had to, as a tourist guide, adapt to the circumstance, be patient and always kind. The purpose of a tourist guide is to make sure your visitors enjoy the experience.

If it wasn't for him, the caves would have been a 5 star experience.

“Magnificent Caves”
Reviewed 13 May 2014

We arrived at 10am and were fortunate to be in a group of only 7 for our guided tour of the caves.
On arrival you are greeted with dramatic location, set on the beautiful coastline on one side and a sweeping stair exiting from the cliffside. The caves are a maze of stalactites and stalagmites and are very atmospheric and impressive. The guide was interesting and knowledgeable and did not hurry us through the tour. At the end of the tour you emerge at the top of the stairs into the daylight with a magnificent view of the sea. We did note that as we exited 2 or 3 coach loads had arrived and large groups were entering. It does pay to get there early as the caves benefit from a little solitude and perhaps the tours may be a bit more hectic with larger crowds.
If you are buying your ticket at the entrance, present a voucher which can be printed off from their website prior to your visit and they will give you a little souvenir booklet. There is a small cafe at the entrance and parking and toilets are available.
