We stayed at the Talayot between 13th ans 20th July and loved the place. The staff are very friendly and helpful ,whilst the food was great with different choices each day. A good mixture of different age groups who all appeared to mix , my own kids ages 16 and 13 also loved the place and thought that Santi the entertainments organizer was brilliant even the bingo.
We wouldn't hesitate to return and had a first floor sea view with a huge balcony .
This place has loads of character and charm and is situated between the two resorts of Cala Bona and Cala Millor .
All in all a great holiday .

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view it was well worth it.

Stayed for four nights 1/2 board at the end of a cruise on the Island Escape. With a wide variety of food for vegetarians on the cruise ship we were extremely disapointed with the choice and quality of food at the Talayot. As vegetarians we were had to survive on a choice from mashed potatoes, chips, lettuce. tomatoes, rice and cheese slices that had to be seperated from slices of cold meat on the same plate. Extra charges for use of a room fridge, safe and wi fi. Never stayed at a hotel before with such a poor choice of vegetarian food.

Fantastic setting. Lovely hotel. Great layout. Spotless. Staff massively friendly. A really relaxing holiday. Food great. Definitely will go back. It's traditionally styled (please don't change that!). We loved it.

Room Tip: Pick a fifth floor sea view room

Stayed with my family here for a week in the sun

The hotel is ideally placed on the sea front and benefits include a swimming pool, tv room, mini shop attached and nice terrace area.

The hotel itself is has big rooms and is very clean. Well worth paying to upgrade to a sea view where you have the sun all morning.

Our room has two twin beds pushed together that weren't ideal but comfortable enough. The pillows were large but almost tubular and very firm.

The bathroom was ok. The shower curtain was hanging strangely as it was only hooked on every other hole and it was also, along with the bath mat, quite old and tired looking.

The pool area had sufficient sun beds and a small bar. There were notices around to say not to reserve beds but people went down before breakfast to lay down their towels as in the morning over half the beds are in the shade.

Breakfast and dinner is served in a large dining area. You are showed to your table on your first visit and that is then your table for the rest of your holiday. The selection of food is great for meat eaters. Loads of choice everyday. Not so great if you are a vegetarian - chips, soup and salad is the extent of options.

The drinks are quite expensive in the hotel. A bottle of water that cost 60cent in the attached shop cost €2 in the hotel.

The staff are friendly and accommodating and Santi the entertainments guy is very funny and amazingly remembers everyone's name. The entertainment is usually a quiz and bingo and the occasional singer and exotic animals act.

Overall nice hotel but could do with a fresh paint.

This hotel has a fantastic location right on the promenade overlooking the sea. The rooms are basic but extremely clean as are all the public areas however the bathrooms could do with a face lift as fittings are old. Swimming pool is not fancy but fine for a swim. The staff are extremely friendly and I loved the cocktails that were available during happy hour. I was a little disappointed with the food as I would have preferred traditional Spanish food but understand the hotel has to cater for all guests so they stuck to food that catered to English taste buds on saying this I always found something to eat as I tended to stick to fish/meat with salad as there was a good variety of salad/ pasta dishes which I enjoyed. I would not hesitate to stay again and would recommend to friends and family. I enjoyed staying at the hotel in the evenings entertainment was ok and I enjoyed just sitting on terrace with a drink if something more lively required there are plenty of bars in resort.

The hotel is clean and basic. The staff were all very helpful and friendly. The entertainment manager tried his best to introduce different activities but was tied by the majority of guests who were older and wanted to play two games of bingo nightly. The outside entertainers who performed after the bingo had the same issues.
The Thompson rep was helpful although had only one days notice of pick up time.
