“Another great holiday at hotel Talayot”
Reviewed 6 August 2014

Hi we just wanted to tell everyone what a great time we had with our friends and family at this hotel, as always we were made very welcome by maria and tony. We got a lovely surprise on entering our room as all the rooms have been refurbished, they have worked very hard over the winter to get the place looking so nice and even the lounge has been up dated. The only thing letting the place down in my opinion is the entertainment although they did have a couple of good singers on 2 nights; Aaron Reeves and The 2 Angels, but its time the parrots were got rid as they are more of a child's entertainment but they do not come on until late when most of the children are in bed. Thank you to all the hard working staff for making our stay another memorable occasion .

Room Tip: Sea views are great and top floor quietest ie inconsiderate guest trotting about in high heel shoes

Visited this little gem in June this year.As a solo traveller it is alwaysagamble when you book a sunshine and beach holiday as a package but I was really surprised with this hotel.
The staff were very helpful and full of infomation about bus times and taxi fares. The single rooms are a bit like a broom closet but if you are willing to pay extra you can get a better room if they are available. The pool area is a little crowded and I would imagine in the height of the summer there wouldn't be much room to move about.
The sandy beachis only a five minute walk either left or right when you walk out of the front of the hotel. The sun beds are the same price all along the beach and the supermarkets all seem to charge roughly the same for a standard bottle of wine.
Liked this hotel so much I amgoing back in a few weeks.

Room Tip: Pay extra for a bigger single room

Just spent another 2 weeks at the Talayot our 25th holiday spent there. All rooms have been updated and very nice.Tony & Maria always there to give you a warm welcome,The food is excellent and Gregory and staff in the dining room can't do enough for you.Rafael and the chefs go out of their way to make sure there is something for everyone's taste.I always prefer a sea view room, it's worth the extra money.for the fabulous views.Gabriel, Paco ,Juan and Carlos work hard in the bar areas.Sante runs all the entertainment, doing games and water polo during the mornings
and cash bingo and quizzes in the evenings. The evening entertainment has got a bit better this season.Arron Reeves vocalist is great. All in all this hotel has something for every body.We traveled as a couple July 15th to 29th.We will be returning again in September to meet all our friends again.

Our first stay at this hotel. First the facts. Our transfer took just less than an hour (we were 1st drop) and we were in our room, 5th floor overlooking pool at rear within minutes. Although when we booked we were told no sea view rooms were available, reception had them available as an expensive upgrade throughout the two weeks we were there. Do think twice about paying for these as our friends on the 4th floor, had a lovely side sea view without paying a supplement, and we could even see the sea ourselves from the back of the hotel as the coastline is curved. We had evening sunshine at the rear, great for drying towels etc, and lovely sunsets over the distant hills. We paid for a fridge in our room, plus a safe, plus hiring 2 pool towels which altogether cost almost 100 euros for 2 weeks. Pool towels can be changed at a cost of 1euro each and you will get your 10 euro deposit back at the end of your stay when you return the towels. You also get back 3 euros each for the safe and fridge. Tea and coffee maker and cups are supplied in the room but you have to pay for supplies of tea, coffee, and sugar, none are supplied!! Bathroom toiletries are supplied but we had to keep asking for more as they were not replenished. At dinner and breakfast you are allocated a table which you keep throughout your stay, whatever time you decide to eat. Our opinion of this hotel is that it is a good value hotel in a great location on the prom between Cala Bona and Cala Millor. A good but crowded beach is about 5-10 mins walk away with plenty of watering holes along the route. The prom is lovely and flat both ways but beware on the cyclist who think, and appear, to have priority over pedestrians. The food at the hotel is the usual mix of salads, meats, fish, and pasta, with a variety of veg and potatoes. A full cooked breakfast is available each day if required. Drinks are usual hotel prices but the usual decent measures and the bar stays open late! The staff here are first rate and always willing to talk if you make the effort to engage them. Everyone seems to work long and hard to keep the hotel clean and welcoming. Evening entertainment seemed quite good although we did go out most nights. Like us, most guests seemed to enjoy their stay here and there are lots of returning guests, that is always a good recommendation. Enjoy!

Room Tip: High floors are best if you prefer a view due to nearby properties. Some rooms have been refurbished...

Stayed here for 2 weeks family of 4 ages from 16 to 75. Could not fault the location of the hotel we had 2 rooms both with sea views it was worth paying the extra rooms had been updated and were spotless. Food good liked that you had the same table for entire stay. The only negative things I can say about the hotel is there is not enough entertainment during the day with none at all on Wednesday Friday & Sunday day times younger guests got bored . Pool area could do with up dating to many trees and people who are not staying at the hotel can use the pool & facilities which made the area quite crowded & they didn't care how they or there children behaved. But overall had a really good holiday & will return

Spent a week at this hotel from 15th to 23rd July and it did not disappoint. I had paid for a sea view, and was on the corner of the top floor with a magnificent panoramic view of the entire bay. Corner rooms have L-shaped balconies, much larger than the other rooms. The hotel room was in need of some modernisation, but having said that, it was more than adequate to meet our needs. It was clean and comfortable, and the television had a fair number of UK channels.
Food at the hotel was of a good quality - I especially loved the minted lamb at evening dinner - and there was a good choice on offer.
The pool and surrounding area was very clean, and there were always adequate sunbeds for the use of patrons. Although it seems that mainly older people stay at this hotel, my 9 year old son had no trouble in finding friends in the pool and he thoroughly enjoyed his stay there.
Hotel Talayot is within a short walking distance from the centre of both Cala Millor and Cala Bona, and adjacent to the hotel is a jetty from which boat trips are available.
All-in-all, I would definitely visit this hotel again. It was a lovely base from which to experience the beauty and charm of Majorca.

Room Tip: Corner room has large balcony and choosing a sea-view room will not disappoint.

Just returned from our 13th visit to this lovely, lovely hotel. Staff wonderful, food & service great, cleanliness top class, rooms refurbished very well, location can't be bettered, always sunbeds available, pool lovely, entertainment on some nights very good and Sante (day/night entertainments manager)works hard and seems to love his job. Excellent value for money and Tony the manager has a visible presence around hotel and in restaurant daily.
We meet up with friends made here over the years and will be returning next year hopefully.

Room Tip: Sea rooms beautiful- morning sun, though pool view get afternoon/evening sun
