the holiday was great!
eanjoyed every minute of it
big plus was a wee chapel not far from the hotel for any Roman catholics who can't live without a mass! XD masses are said in 5 langauges: spanish, english, german, italian, and portuguese. for more info on the church drop us a message.
anyway back to the hotel. brilliant. it has computers with internet and wifi which is great for telling your mates in scotland that "the weather's boiling!"
entertaiment was great the even celebrated xmas in the middle of july! haha! really funny david even dressed as santa! went to a festival in calla bonner. the hold this every year to welcome back all the boys who caught all the fish it's begins with a service celebrated by the priests on the island, and the bishop. then there's stuff after it
come to spain!!!!!!!!!

I stayed at the Christina Apartments with my Wife and 4 year ol Daughter last may.
We had a fabulous time.
The rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. We had a lovely shaded veranda where it was nice to have breakfast and chill out in the evenings after a day in the sun.
All the staff were wonderful and could not do enough to help.
Entertainment was always fun. Becky always kept this lively. Becky also ran the kids club. As such she has a new friend for life in my Daughter.
The town was just 10 minutes walk away (with a 4 year old who has little attention span!).
We loved the place. I can't see us going anywhere else for the next couple of years.

Well where do I start. First of all you will see a very short review back in July when we visited for the first time. We already had flights booked for August and after having a great week at the Cristina Apartments decided to return 3 weeks later. In July we had two apartments as there was 5 of us - my mother-in-law had the ground floor one bedroom apartrment and we had the two bedroom apartment above this on the first floor. Yes the apartments are dated - they are not out of "Grand Designs" but they were spotlessly clean and spacious - especially the ground floor apartment taht had a huge living room & kitchen. The two bedroom was much smaller with a very small lounge & kitchen but I am being honest when I say that none of us ever sat down in the living room, preferring to be outside on the spacious balcony that got the sun in the morning when we were having our tea & toast, and was out of the sun of an evening enabling our skin to recover while we were sampling a beer or two.
We were in 16A&B alongside the restaurant and were never bothered by any noise. The air-conditioning is a must and we were lucky that the air con was working all the time - don't how we managed that but we weren't going to complain!!
On the food front we got pizzas from the restaurant as it was just closing when we arrived and we were too tired to go out - we had them on the balcony with a few drinks -excellent. Later on in the holiday we did the same pizzas, chips salad baked potatos etc - again excellent food at really good prices.
During the day we either lazed round the pool or wondered down to the beach that was max. 10 mins slow holiday stroll. I can't believe when I see people referring to the hill back to the apartments - Where are these people from ? Holland maybe ?? There is no hill - I would say possibly at the most a 1:1000 gradient !!! When staying round the pool you can either join in the fun & games or choose not to - there is no pressure put on anyone by David & Becky. But one thing that alot of people seem to forget when they go on holiday is that they ARE on holiday and so are all the other people around you. This is a family holiday complex and with that comes jumping in the pool, splashing, a bit of music and people generally having FUN - what a surprise !!!
Entertainment of an evening is something we generally don't do - preferring to got out for a meal and a few drinks. However this year the lads made some good friends and wanted to get back to the Cristina so we would usually be back for the last hour or so and we liked what we saw. Yes it's not Las Vegas or the London Palladium but Becky & David work extremely hard, along with all the bar staff to create a great relaxed atmosphere where you can have a laugh - Becky even managed to get me & my mother-in-law up for the ballon game but that's another story !!!!! ALl the staff are great from reception, bar, entertainment & the cleaners - everybody is ready with a smile ....even the rich lady who owns the apartments ;), or maybe that was just me she had the smile for (joke!!). Seriously she couldn't do enough to make the holiday enjoyable and even took my wifes white trousers to be cleaned (a mishap with a glass of red wine on the plane !!).
To finish off we had great time - could maybe do with a few more sunbeds but I don't know where you'd put them. The Cristina Apartments does what it says on the lable - it provides a good family holiday in the sun without breaking the bank. 10/10 Keep up the good work and hopefully we'll be back next year :)

The Cristina Apartments was a great place to go for holiday. It was a great place for families and had many good activities in which both adults and children could take part in. The entertainment evenings in the bar were also a massive highlight to the Cristina.

Just got back from the Cristina Apartments, and I could not really say anything good about our stay there. The 2 bedroomed apartment was a extremely dated, circa 1970!!! The room was cold and damp, when you got into bed you could feel the dampness, we had 3 blankets on to get warm. When you got your clothes out of the wardrobe, they were also very damp.

3 of us had to share the same bathwater (not at the same time) as the water was very limited and we had to boil pans to wash any dishes we used, as the water did not come through into the kitchen sink.

The entertainment was a game of bingo at 9.30, and then maybe a bit of a quiz, the entertainment girl left a lot to be desired. At 3 minutes to twelve, she said over the microphone to some one who was serving at the bar "Only 3 minutes left, thank God"

The pool was freezing, no cushions on the sun beds, kids "bombing" and diving in the pool although a notice said No Diving, and youngsters sitting out side their apartment with their music blaring out constantly with no regard to any one else.

Horid place

Was really looking forward to staying here following the other reviews and was pretty underwhelmed on arrival.
Apartment had a large but extremely sparsely furnished lounge with the smallest TV ever perched on a bracket high on the wall making it nigh on impossible to see (when you could actually get a channel), I know a TV is not essential but there are times when people do want to stay in and watch some telly. Other than the sofa bed (stained) and 2 matching chairs that was it apart from a table.
The other side had a table and chairs and display unit holding 5 of everything (but it is billed as a 2-4 person apartment!!)
The bedroom was 2 single beds, a dresser, 1 small bedside table and built in wardrobe. It was far 2 small and came with just 5 coat hangers. The bathroom had the window bolted shut as it "looked" into a store cupboard and it was smelly (the batroom that is, think stale urine!!).
The kitchen had cheap units and a 2 ring hob, cheap kettle. The impression is very cheap and extremely dark as the downstairs apartments do not get the sun - all in all it was by far the dreariest place I have stayed.
The complex was pretty empty so I asked if I could change to a sunnier apartment, seems the upper floors get the sun but these are 2 bedrooms and cost more even though it was admitted they had empty ones for the duration of our stay they would not let us swap.
One thing that irriates me is being ripped off - 15 euros PER WEEK for an ancient safety deposit is the worst rip off ever, they have you over a barrel as any theft claim would be turned down if you did not use a safe, I do not mind paying but these are ancient rusting hulks that have clearly seen better days and been paid for by holiday makers many times over.
Aircon at 4 euros a night (only available from 7pm till midnight) is another blatant con, between these 2 extras you would be 86 euros worse off, fortunately the weather was so crap it was extra blankets we needed rather than cool air con (con being very apt).
The apartments are more than 800m to the sea, it is easily a 20 minute downhill walk and more on the way back, that said it is not difficult but it did get labourious after a while.
Calla Millor is fine as a resort, plenty of shops, loads of bars, nice beach etc but will not be everyones cup of tea as it seves the usual staples to Brits, there is a lot of German bars/restaurants often with no English menus or signs.
The apartments have a nice pool, plenty of (cheap hard plastic) loungers, 2 pool tables (pretty tatty), a table tennis table (old) some kids games, a wee bar and a small shop (it is NOT a supermarket (think Dev's shop from Corrie - then half it in size), sells all British goods (at inflated prices) and a reasonable restaurant but nothing fancy (Felipe's specials included baked potatoes with cheese, omlette etc) and this is only open from 6.30 pm for dinner.
The cleaner should be done under the trade desciptions act, we were sitting on the (very shaded) balcony when she came in, she made the beds and left, literally 3 minutes, no cleaning, every time she came in she did not have any cleaning products at all, we ended up buying some to keep the place clean - she was a disgrace. Towels changed 5 days per week so get used to recycling the thin rags masquerading as bath towels.
Basic, out of the way apartments, ok little resort but instantly forgettable.
Highlight - Bar Sangria on the main drag, brilliant food, good poirtions (free bread) and excellent value. Take the bus to Palma (13 euros retrun (do noy pay the 50 euros rep price), excellent city and a great day out (bit like Barelona)
Despite what people say on here re the best place to east please, please avoid Cheers bar - think bad pub food, blue tarpaulin over the seating and being stared at by passers by as you sit in cramped chairs and eat crap food - avoid.
Absolutely nothing in the nearby vacinity of the apartments, excellent if you like it quiet
