“Big views for a small price”
5 of 5 bubbles Reviewed 3 May 2014

Great hotel practically on the sea front. walking distance to hundreds bars and restaurants, 2 mins from great beach. Immaculately clean hotel, good facilities. Majority of guests are german but this is no problem, the staff speak good English.
The only two small faults I could find was the chargeable wi-fi signal was hopeless, especially if your in a room on the sixth floor. And in the restaurant there was a lack of food descriptions for the different dishes, which isn't a problem unless you have food allergies like myself!

Room Tip: Avoid the 6th floor rooms if possible, especially those with vertigo or height problems! south facin...

Hi i stayed here with a friend from 21st April 2013 to 2nd May 2013.
Firstly i want to say this hotel is very clean i tipped the cleaner in our room. The staff are very friendly their english ranges from very good to quite poor however they really tried their best. The price was very good, i booked through an online travel website. I stayed in room 307 and the view was amazing of the sea and the mountain.
When i stayed it was my birthday, they keep passports so i guess they read it was my birthday. Anyhow i got a knock on the door and a card was given saying happy birthday from hotel sabina playa with a bottle of spanish sparkling wine and 2 glasses. It was such a good surprise and it tasted nice too.
i paid for bed and breakfast and the breakfast choice was good cheeses, hams, fruit lots of choice of different bread, croissants etc. There was cooked bacon, spicy sausages and eggs to order if u pressed a bell plus other things on the buffet, drinks were also included. I paid while i stayed for 2 evening meals as i usally went out to restaurants. The price of the Hotels evening buffet was very reasonable 6 euros each that didnt include drinks. The food on a night was edible salads and some cooked and lots of fruit icecream puddings etc. It was nice but basic therefore i was glad didnt go fully inclusive.
I found drinking in the hotel was cheaper then the restaurants.
When i booked this hotel i wasnt aware that the hotel was geared more for Germans than English however this became appharrant when i realised me and a friend only english in hotel. This hotel is 10 mins walk from cala bona ( Which i found more British) and 10 mins walk to beach of Cala Millor ( Which is quite German). So this meant some of the staff can speak great German not so good English that didnt bother me as i could speak some German. However if you are British and you want music/entertainmen at a night aimed at English visitors dont stay here. One night the music was like Eurovision which i found novelty. I stayed for a couple of nights and i won 2 bottles of drink in a raffle or tombola as they called it which was good only had to buy a drink at bar to get this. The entertainment at night didnt affect my stay as i went to other hotels restaurants and bars.
There is a nice pool outside i didnt go in and one pool inside. The whole hotel felt nice and clean and the room i was in was a big size and the shower was powerful no waiting for hot water.
It is very close to a bus stop that will take you places and very close to sea front i really enjoyed my stay and would reccommend this hotel if you take my points which i stated.

Room Tip: try to get a seaview if you can excellent

I agree with all the other reviews.
Very clean, close to the beach, decent price, facilities are good. Yes the evening entertainment is dreadful, but there is plenty to do outside the hotel, friendly staff.

But why only average?
Rabid over efficiency in the restaurant. (I never realized there was such a thing as being over efficient, but I get it now!) We are on holiday for goodness sake!
No flexibility and with restaurant manager who can make mealtimes uncomfortable. They will take your plates away from you if you are in the restaurant 5 minutes after closing time. Not only us, I watched it happen to a group of women, and felt sorry for their embarrassment. All in all it reminded me of a school canteen, but with better quality food.

Room Tip: Keep on the good side of the restaurant staff otherwise your mealtimes will be stressful! Rooms wit...

2min walk from the beach. Friendly staff, clean hotel and we were fortunate to have a room with seaview. Downside was the airco on a hot summer night....it did not perform as it should which made the room very hot at night!

Me and my 11yr old daughter stayed here for 9 days and it was a really good choice, based on Trip Advisor reviews. The hotel was in a perfect location, one minute walk to the sea (rocky coastline) and 5-10 minutes along the pretty seafront walkway to an amazing beach. There was a cycle track with hired electric scooters and bikes whizzing along it, which you had to be aware of, and always plenty going on in the evenings with jugglers, musicians, living statues, etc. A lovely evening stroll when the heat had subsided.
Cala Millor was lovely, clean and safe and a perfect choice for everyone wanting a hot beach based holiday. The best beach we found was by the lifeguard in front of Sabina Hotel, with a sand bank keeping it shallow, perfect for younger kids.
The hotel was clean and fresh and our room was well equipped and cleaned everyday. The shower was the most powerful I have experienced and the towels were changed when you wanted them to be. Our balcony was lovely with a very pretty sea view. Our only complaint would be that the tv had no english channels, even just BBC1 would've been great. The hotel is generally geared up towards German guests, I think we were maybe the only English people in the hotel, and the entertainment one evening was bingo in German and another evening had a man singing german songs.
Food was very good with lots of choice. Big salads, choice of 3 or 4 main courses with potatoes and breads, 5 or 6 choices of dessert, with many different fruits to finish. Eggs were always freshly cooked in front of you at breakfast by a lovely girl, Claudia.
The pool was lovely and clean and we always got sunbeds, whenever we arrived. They could do with having a few more umbrellas as we often had to wait for people to leave to get one, which was essential in the roasting heat. Waitors serve drinks around the pool, which was great service.
We also made use of the table tennis table which was free.
All in all this was a lovely stay in a lovely hotel and I would recommend it.

Just back from the Sabina Playa, where I stayed for 10 days with my family. Hotel was clean and tidy, well decorated and nice furnishings. Hotel staff were helpful. The pool was small, but was always uncrowded for some reason we never understood - so no rush for the sun beds so long as you were there by mid-day! The food was of reasonable quality, but the same every night i.e. grilled mets and fish, lots of sald, fruit & ice cream.

The hotel must have been 95% occupied by German speakers, so all hotel entertainment was directed towards them. This made it hard for those of us speaking english or spanish.

In summary, it was ok, but would not choose to stay there again.

Room Tip: Those rooms with the lower numbers (i.e. 101, 201, 301, etc. are at the pool end of the hotel and pr...

Just returned from staying for a week at this hotel in lovely cala millor. It was very clean throughout, the staff were very friendly, our room was very comfortable.( they even had 'normal' pillows!!) Had a high room so had beautiful views of the mountains and sea. The nearest supermarket and bus stop for markets etc was one minute away, turn right as you come out of hotel. A lovely stroll in their gorgeous sunshine takes about 15 mins to get to such a pretty beach and the sea is fun and wavy and warm! Free loos too.Food was good, plenty of choice and theres an outside terrace to sit and eat your meals under the palm trees! Dont go if you want loud young men shouting. lt was occupied mainly by middle aged quiet people. The pool basic but fine. Never crowded when we were there in July. A little entertainment with music some evenings but you will find you can sleep ok here. Oh l miss it already!

Room Tip: Do try and get a high room for views.
