Book this holiday through easyjet and all went very well until we arrived at this hotel, There was 2 of us and a group of 3 ladies dropped off at the same time we were at reception first the staff took out passports to be photocopied and then the staff waffled on to each other in spanish and all of a sudden our room had "a fault" so we were to spend the night in a room over the road at "hotel la nina". we did this thinking ok fair enough if theres a problem with the room, i will review "la nina on their own page". next day we were told to wait until 11am and then see receptionist who then looked through a sheet of paper and decided to put us in room 205, i noticed the sheet of paper had 8 families including myself who were waiting for rooms at la pinta who had been told to stay 1 night in la nina. i thought this was odd but none the less we went to out new room and got sorted out . The room was clean and fairly spacious except for the bathroom which to be honest my under the stair cupboard at home is bigger than, the room has aircon which is free, saftey deposit box is 15 euros per week or 3 euros per day. room had a tv with 9 or so channels only one in english but then you dont go on holiday to watch tv so i wasnt bothered.
Maid service daily however we found she tends to turn up at the most inconvienent of times one morning she was knocking on the door at 8.30am the next day it was after 2 pm before she turned up

Dinner time, after reading reviews about food on here i wasnt expecting much choice, i found the choice wasnt too bad you had yours starters (salad mainly) the mains were a different dish each meal and your desserts. i did think however that the quality of the food as well as the preperation was pretty poor, i found a pork chop which was still part raw, having worked in catering for almost 8 years before changing career i knew what not to eat if it looked wrong to me.

Evening, there is very little entertainment provided by the hotel and we found only one member of the waiting staff to be fairly ignorant everyone else seemed friendly enough. sitting on the balcony we noticed more guests arriving for la pinta being shoved in to la nina for the nightand came to the conclusion that the hotel is being over booked on purpose and the newer guests are being stuck in la nina for the night until rooms freed up by over night departures. I am in the middle of making a complaint to easyjet about this i know its not easy jets fault but i feel that they should know what is going on. i expect to be residing in the hotel i booked not a different one oer the road.
The hotel is ok for a cheap deal but i felt sorry for those who had paid thompson and thomas cook prices to stay there

we stayed here from the 20th May to 3rd June - arrived to find we were staying at La Pinta 2 across the road - we had apartment no 4 which was very clean and spacious - unfortunately a few days into the holiday the whole downstairs level got raw sewage come up in the bathrooms - ended up cleaning our apartment myself as lady that was trying to clean it had no idea of cleanliness at all - the dining hall itself was clean but most of the plates had remains of food left on them after being washed!!! - disgusting!!!!! so we ate out every evening as it was cheap to do so - this hotel is definately not worth 3 star - Pool area clean - but not enough sunbeds or brolleys and you had to be up by 7am to get one - as towels were put on them really early - so we went to the beach everyday - that was stunning, clean and lovely sun beds and parasoles enough for everyone that wanted them - 12 euros per day -
We ate out at A D Weather Spoon every evening - Alan & Diane that run this bar/restaurant are definately the nicest people i have ever met - and the meals are the best ever - will definately go back to Cala Millor but not La Pinta will find a better hotel that is worthy of my money

Room Tip: The Block Overlooking the pool seem to be the best ones

we`ve just got back on weds last, and we found that the reviews on line where not true, the room was basic, clean, no fridge for putting milk or drinks if you want them . we had trouble with other peoples showers water from above, comeing out and on too are terrace below, then from other rooms, and when told mangerment was told too swim, then on another day all on the ground floor terraces when we flushed the toilets the sewage came back up in the showers, that took hours to sort out, the drinks where served in small clear plastic cups ( the ones u get out of vending machines) .then back on 11.00 the bar closed where u was paying or not ,and no entertainment for adults at night ( one night ) out of 10 . and there was nothing for kids of any age for them day time or night .

Ok lets get the good out first, great location just up the road from beach around the corner from shops bars ect. Thats it that,s the good. We arrived late with my 81 yr old dad to be greeted by " passports you,ll be staying over there tonight " which we did but not without hassle the following day we were told that we would be staying at the hotel that we had actually booked "amazing" The food in this hotel is nothing short of appauling its cold tasteless inedible muck when I approached the hotel staff with this they were also not really intrested I asked them would they like to join us for dinner this evening if they thought it was ok no one did (strange that) plastic glasses are the only thing you will get unless of course you PAY FOR A DRINK IN A ALL INCLUSIVE 3 *** HOTEL when I asked again whats with the plastic glasses thats what I was told YOU HAVE TO PAYYYY approached the big boss his attitude was how much you pay for holiday mine was how much you making I myself have stayed in very basic accomadation through out the world but this places takes the medal for the worst ever hotel I have ever stayed at and will not be returning ever

we went there with easyjetholidays, so we knew it this is a very cheap holidays £300 per person all inclusive. So you can not expect 5 star service. Hotel retro 70's, however room clean, staff very nice and friendly, fantastic location very close to the beach and shops. Definitely for couples, not for family with small children as they get bored without any entertiment. One down side..Dirty Plates, Food wise choice of salads, meat.fish deserts. Barman's always make sure you have proper dose of drink. If you want to go for a week, and you are not fussy and like sun is perfecto for a break.

On arrival at the hotel, it was midnight and we were put across the road in Hotel La Nina which we found was a regular occurance. We were only there for one night and then we checked into our sea view room in La Pinta as we had booked.

The rooms were very clean and spacious. There was no noise during our stay and we slept very well every night. The maid came in every day and if necessary changed our towels. The pool area was nice and there were plenty of beds available in May, not sure if this would be the case in peak weeks.

The food was average but edible. We ate in the hotel all the time unless we were on a day out and couldn't make it back. There was always something to eat and although a lot of people complained the restuarant was always full. The main problem that we found was that the hot dishes were not labelled and there was no gravy or sauces available.

The location of the hotel is excellant. The lovely sandy beach is just down the road. On one side you have Se Coma and on the other side you have Cala Bona. There is also a little train which takes you to all the resorts including S'llott.

The drinks were good although they were served in plastic glasses. As we are not heavy drinkers this was not a problem for us. There are plenty of Engish bars within walking distance.

There is nothing at the hotel for children, not even a kiddies pool. There is no entertainment at the hotel, not even background music which we found was a bit poor. Apparently they have entertainment on a Thursday evening but as this was our arrival and departure day we didn't see it.

All in all we went for a cheap break and thoroughly enjoyed our stay at La Pinta and we would stay again.

Room Tip: We stayed in room 404 with a sea view which is on a corner, so you can see 2 ways although we couldn...

We booked La Pinta and arrived and was told that they were fully booked and that we would be spending our first night in the hotel across the road La Nina, told to return at breakfast the next day and our rooms would be ready.

Come ten o'clock the next day they weren't, we were then told there was a burst pipe and to come back in an hour to give the maids a chance to clean, two hours later the room still wasn't ready and when I questioned the manager he became rude, dismissive and insulting.
When we did get a room it was a twin rather then the double we asked for.

So throughout our week there we seen more ten groups of people sent over to La NIna for the first night stay, so has anyone else experienced this? and what scam are they running?

On top of that the food was a bit hit and miss some days its was okay, some days it was dreadful.
For the whole week we were there they had only one night of entertainment, otherwise no music playing at all just a widescreen TV in the bar playing programs in German.
We also had tiles falling off the walls in the bathroom.

Positives about the hotel apart from the manager all the other staff were lovely, the alcohol was decent pool area nice, rooms cleaned everyday and fresh towels, location good.
Calla millor was beautiful, the beach stunning, the people really friendly, the shops are brilliant, the night life was really good once you found it! would definitely go to calla millor again but UNDER NO CIRCUMSTANCES DO I RECOMMEND STAYING AT LA PINTA AND I WOULD NEVER STAY THERE AGAIN!

Room Tip: Wouldn't recommend staying here.
