“Good value for money! You get what you pay for!!”
Reviewed 31 July 2010

We've just come back from the Don Jaime and were dreading it after reading the recent reviews but were pleasantly suprised! It is by no means a luxurious hotel but then you would have to pay alot more money for a hotel like that! The room, we had a one bed apartment over looking the pool was large, but abit basic and the air con was'nt great and very noisy at night! The good thing was that the windows all had blackout curtains which was great for the kids. The food was ok, it was edible but abit samey and we were fed up with it by the end of our 10 day stay, breakfast was good and none of us came down with any tummy bugs. The pool area was lovely but be prepared to set you're alarm clock if you want a sunlounger for the day as they are all gone by 7.30am!! There are only 50 loungers for the whole hotel and half of those are broken and they don't recline or go upright...very uncomfortable! our kids loved the childrens pool which they prefered as the adults pool was very cold and very deep, the pool bar was great, friendly staff, san miguel on tap and slush puppies and juices etc for the kids..you do have to pay for the ice creams though! The entertainment was rubbish! The location of the hotel was great, in a reasonable quiet location but only a five minuite walk from the beach front. the beach was lovely and the promenade is great with stacks of lovely shops and restaraunts, even kentucky and burger king for the kids. We had a lovely holiday and return to the resort but not to the hotel, it was ok and as i said we all enjoyed it but i think we'll be looking for abit more luxury next time! All in all good value for money if you are looking for a cheap getaway!

This place gets a really bad reputation and we were really dreading going and it kind of ruined it but the second we got there it was a cracking laugh. If your nice with everyone there nice with you. The rooms are standard and the foods a bit naff but you get what you pay for! Bingo every night and good entertainment..Martin's a top bloke and if you get involved and enjoy going out it's so much fun! Water Polo for the win. The chefs were a bit arsey but it's manners. The night porter who looks like the dad from American pie's a top laugh. The rooms were nice and the areas bloody brilliant for the price free drinks and meals were great! Check out lollypop and banannas for a good laugh! Don't let the bad reviews put you off, i had one of the best holidays!

We enjoyed our stay at the Don Jaime, but feel that the hotel does not listen to peoples complaints, food, not brilliant but we enjoyed all our meals (we are not fussy eaters) we could alway's find something nice. We were all inclusive, the drinks were excellent, but if you take kid's never saw any eating lollys or ice cream.....just slush. Pool area, could be much better, poor plastic (some broken) sun beds, no mattress, oh dear, so uncomfortable, if you could get one, bar area very friendly, staff also very friendly, but bar shut's 11pm (on the dot!) and plunged into darkness at 11.15pm, wow, we are adults you know. Also, entertainment poor. Rooms clean but a bit dated. Many people had complaints about shower heads falling down, and air conditioning dodgy. Seems mainly last min holidaymaker's, so for what we paid it's O.K, but boy could it be good with a little TLC.

just come back from a stay at the don jaime, appartment was basic but clean. The food is terrible us as a family ate out on numerous accasions due to not being able to face the food. Hotel staff need to go on a customer service course as they really dont care about their customers. But the Don Jaime hotel is in a beautiful location within 3minutes from the beach. The only thing letting the hotel down would be the food - TERRIBLE!

We were nervous because of some of the reviews but it is great value for money and they must have been expecting too much! The food was good and was nice to have the combination of half board. The children loved to pool and the adults could easily relax. e staff were helpful with everything and the rooms were clean and well looked after. I will be back in the future, espec with the great prices!!
