We hadn't actually booked to stay at this hotel but on arrival to our planned hotel we were sent to Millor Sun Hotel. We were worried as we hadn't done any research but we were very pleased with the move. The hotel is spotlessly clean, very well organised and ALL the staff were extremely friendly and happy to help.
The pool area is big and very clean and during the afternoon there are things going on for adults and children. We were the only English family there, most people were from Germany so the entertainment was mainly in German however when Jacob and Danielle realised there were English guests, they made sure all the announcements were made in English too. Jacob and Danielle made sure they went round the pool to chat to the guests and to let everyone know what would be happening that day and also what was to come in the evening. They both worked very hard.
Overall we had a relaxing stay and were very happy at the Millor Sun Hotel. (we stayed 16th July 2013 for 10 days)

We have just returned from Cala Millor, having stayed at the 'Millor Sun' - booked through Thomson's.
The hotel is located approximately 400 -500 metres back from the sea-front, in a quiet location (once the hotel entertainment finished at about 11.00).
The entertainment is staged outside, near the pool and was targetted at an audience which was predominently German!
The hotel staff were all very friendly and accommodating, however the food was not to our liking (we were booked on a half board arrangement, but only ventured into the dining room twice for breakfast and only managed one full evening meal)Again the food 'seemed to be targetted towards the German taste'.
During our stay, most of the residents seemed to be on an 'all inclusive' deal and didn't appear to venture far from the hotel!
Cala Millor has a fantastic beach and promenade which are kept in immaculate condition - and you can walk for miles and miles. As you walk to the sea-front (from the hotel)you will pass a fantastic little restaurant/bar called 'Mama Mia' located approximately 50 metres from the sea-front (an easy way to find it from the sea-front is to look for the tourist information centre near Avda.Joan Servera Camps then venture up the side street. Look carefully because it is a small restaurant/bar tucked between a paper shop and an English bar.The Mama Mia is run by Simon & Veronica (a Brit & a Dane)who appear to be hell-bent on providing quality food at reasonable prices rather than looking for a quick profit. It was nice to see that Simon & Veronica catered for 'the locals' as well as the British & German tourists! This establishment is open all year round and well worth taking the trouble to find - it serves great pasta dishes, pizza's & burgers. Believe me - you won't be dissapointed.
Another safe bolt-hole for great breakfasts and snacks is the 'Champion's Bar' on the sea-front on the way to the harbour at Cala Bona. Great views, friendly service and good food. For those of you who cannot go without your'Indian' fix - there is a restaurant not far from Mama Mia's.
Enough about food - as mentioned earlier -you can walk (or hire a bike or rickshaw type of peddle car) for miles along the sea-front - all the way from Cala Bona in the north, through Cala Millor to Sa Coma and even on to S'Illott. At a strolling pace this takes a couple of hours (or thereabouts)There are pleny of 'watering-holes' along the way and a great way to search out places to stay for the following year. For those who don't fancy the walk, there is an open-topped tourist bus which runs between Cala Bona/Millor,Sa coma and S'Illott which only costs about 2 Euro's (the bus only runs every hour, but there are timetables at each stop). There is also a tourist train which runs along the same route. You can also visit the two ranches near Sa Coma where you can hire horses, ponies and donkies that take you on a traffic free track to visit a nearby 'castle' which is situated along a sandy track between Calla Millor and Sa Coma(great for the kids).

Stayed at this hotel in August 2007. There were two families holidaying. Our family consisted of two adults and three children and we were allocated a family room which was two separate rooms, one for the children, another for the adults and one bathroom, each bedroom with its own balcony. There was a maid service everyday to make up the beds and change towels. The hotel was spotlessly clean.
Food was really good with a varied choice of buffet for each meal, including vegetarian. Good range of desserts as well. The food was hot and topped up as soon as it had run out.
Its is about a ten minute walk to the beach, but at reception you can arrange a taxi which costs about 3 to 4 euros.
The hotel is actually German owned so is predominantly German customers, we felt a bit out of if as we were one of only two British families staying there.
There is entertainment at night.
I would recommend this hotel, but we only had Half board but would have preferred All Inclusive which all the Germans seemed to have.

I booked this hotel through the Thomsons website independantly. The hotel was very clean (the maids came every single day, even when you had the "we do not need our room cleaned" sign up!!) and the majority of the staff were extremely friendly/helpful, but what was not advertised was the fact that the hotel was a German hotel, run by Neckermann travel. This is not a problem in itself, but when you are the only 2 british people there, it can get a bit boring, as all the entertainment & tours etc were oriented towards the German, with no English tour options, and most of the staff not speaking English- only Spanish or German. Further to this, the air conditioning in the rooms was pretty poor- after several complaints to the reception (which were just logged in a big thick book never to bee seen again) we ended up buying a fan from a local shop! And if i'm being honest, it could have been a wee bit closer to the centre or the beach. The food however, was lovely, but with only 2/3 options for main meals at dinner time. Would not recommend this hotel to British tourists.
