We've just returned from Cala Rajada and our first two week stay at this hostel. The hostel has a great location, just behind the harbour, so a 2 minute walk. The hostel is essentially a small, well run family hotel. The hostel is spotless clean and nicley decorated and furnished with a variety of antique furntiure. There is s small swimming pool and a nice terraced/shaded garden areas. The hotel also has free Wi-Fi. The room we had (202) had a small balcony overlooking the pool, with a glimpse of the harbour between two other buildings. Rooms are a good size and ours had en-suite with an excelllent power shower, plenty of hot water. Beds are very comfortable. No air conditioning, but a ceiling fan with 5 settings. Rooms are cleaned every day and the staff are warm and friendly.
Breakfast is great, mainly cold meats and cheese, but a good selection of bread (including fresh, warmed bread) and fresh fruit, always something slighly differenet each day which is good. Breakfast juice was goos, again, changed each day. Coffee a decent quality. Breakfast quantity/availability tended to be low after 9.30, however, the hostel was full.
I would highly recommend this place and would advise not to be put off by the fact that it's described as a hostel. During our stay, there were all ages staying, from small groups of teenagers (well behaved) to families and some elderly people.More
