We booked 3 days before our trip paying £350 pp. The hotel was well kept, with rooms cleaned almost everyday. The food was a help yourself buffet with possibly the best salad bar I have seen at an all inclusive resort, which varied throughout the week, I was able to have a different meal on each visit. The alcohol included a few cocktails and the local beer but could only be served at the pool bar throughout the day which limited the cocktail options to two, as a family orientated resort I guess this is acceptable and to be expected. The menu increased in the main bar from 1800 onwards.

There was entertainment each night, 8pm for the kids and 9pm for the adults. On 3 nights the Viva Flying entertainment team performed, a generic boy band tribute, Michael Jackson tribute and Beatles tribute; it was entertaining but once again geared towards families. The pool is large, with separate children's pool with slides, there is also an indoor pool, jacuzzi and sauna, all we're quiet and suited to couples in late afternoon early evening when attempting to avoid young children. There was a good gym with 3 treadmills a bike and cross trainer and a number of free weights and a multiple exercise machine, always quiet, unfortunately the equipment wasn't fully serviceable which was a frustration towards the end of the week. I am positive this was just bad luck and the staff will have this rectified quickly, sadly not during my stay.

We went on two Thomson trips to Marineland and the Inca market both were well worth it, especially the trip with Pete (Thomson Rep) he was fantastic and really added extra value to the trip.

All in all good value for money, good food and an ideal last minute break. As a young couple with no children I would like to congratulate all the parents who stayed between 10-17 May as all their children were impeccably well behaved and it was a pleasure to share our hotel with them.

My family and I travel extensively and rarely stay in the same place or country twice.

We'd happily brake that rule to come here again.

Only just over an hour transfer from the airport and about 15-20 minutes from the beach and shops the grounds are well laid out and you don't feel on top of each other.

The rooms are large and having a separate bedroom for my wife and I while our 6 year old son and 5 month old daughter sleep in the lounge is an added benefit. The room complexes are well designed and even have an indoor atrium!
The kids pool is great, complete with lots of slides and a pirate ship. Our son loved it and was completely safe.

The all inclusive food was decent, one minor criticism is that you almost have to go past rvery item to get the food you want, trying to dip in and out leaves you getting stares from other diners!

However the selection is varied and the food looks fresh and well presented.

The bar is like every other holiday bar and we were surprised by the quality of the drinks available to all inclusive which included most name brands (and decent cocktails)

Our son enjoyed the kids club and they seemed to have a varied and active programme. We loved our stay and highly recommend this hotel to families. You won't be disappointed.

I have only just got back today from Mallorca. Me and my family stayed at this hotel from the 20th to the morning of the 27th of May.
Once we arrived the receptionists were very friendly and helpful. However we did find out that the rest of our family had a room on the other side of the block (there was 5 of us in total, 3 in one room and 2 in another).
The rooms are very spacious and clean, cleaned 5 out of the 7 days. Even when the cleaners aren't supposed to be there, you can always see them cleaning and walking around the hotel with their cleaning products.
Night time entertainment stops at about 10pm. Many activities go on throughout the day, including aqua aerobics. The entertainment team are very friendly and always on their feet. At night the kids disco is on and then the main entertainment. Wifi is inside and outside.
Food is great, at the main restaurant there is a lot of choice, food is always hot and there is thick plastic cutlery and plates for kids and babies. At the bar you can get ice cream sundaes. Also a fridge with sandwiches and fruit in next to the bar. Since there was 5 of us and the tables mostly were for 4 or 6, either way the waiters helped with extra cutlery etc.
There is a splash pool area for the little kids, it keeps them very entertained. And 2 bigger pools. At the bigger pools there are two life guards who are constantly moving around checking the pools and asking if you are ok.
Don't ask the First Choice rep for anything as he isn't the best. He was going to ask for a room change, however it was as if he didn't try. I was in block 4, in total there are 5 blocks then one for the employees. Block 3 is great for kids because of the duck pond, although hardly any light gets to it. Over all everyone was friendly and helpful, definitely thinking about 2 weeks next year.

Well maintained grounds, high standards of cleanliness and hardworking yet friendly staff are for me, minimum essential ingredients for an enjoyable hotel holiday. And Viva C'an Picafort certainly ticks these boxes. Ok, maybe no seafront beach location but you certainly don't feel isolated from the resort facilities which are within an 800 mt stroll. And public transport links to Alcudia, Pollensa and Palma are even closer. Negatives? Not many really. 16.50 Euros to hire the room safe for a week is irritating on an all inclusive package. Also, mealtimes in the buffet restaurant could be busy during our May stay - makes you wonder what peak season would be like! That aside we would still recommend Hotel Viva

We stayed from 17 to 24 may, and we have a 23 month old. This hotel is really geared up for little ones. The play area and splash pool is brilliant, and there were plenty of waterslides that our little one could go on, and the whole of the kids pool is shallow enough for babies to toddle about in. Only criticism of the pool area is that it is FREEZING. The indoor pool is the worst though - we had one rainy day so had to use the indoor pool, but it was just unbearably cold.
The food is ok.... italian a la carte is a nice experience as its a lovely setting, but quality of food isnt amazing. There was lots of choice at the buffet restaurant but the labelling of the dishes and desserts in particular wasnt very informative - you were told the name of the dish, but this didnt always tell you what was in it, which isnt great if you have food allergies. However there are loads of highchairs and kids cutlery and plates etc.
the pool bar and lunchtime a la carte menu were great. Just wish the a la carte service could have continued past 4pm, because there is no food available between 4pm and 6.30pm, which is just when we would normally eat with our little one. It was also a shame that the daytime bar didnt serve the cocktail menu. But overall the bar service was good, and you have the option to pay a small supplement for the nicer branded beers and wines if you want.
rooms were lovely - large, seperate lounge area, big balcony, and the little kitchen came in handy too.
we were in block 5, nice and quiet, near the pool, and far enough away that we didnt hear the evening entertainment.
on the whole a great holiday, all the facilities you need if travelling with little ones.

We just got home a few days ago after spending a week at this hotel. The staff were great and were really good with our little boy. He loved Eszter, who was so kind to him everytime we saw her around the hotel. Alicia was great too and let him join in with some colouring at th kids club.
Food is very good, rooms are fine too and ours was very clean and serviced all the days we expected. Can't really fault this place as it was ideal for a week's break and it was a really good time of year too as the hotel wasn't too busy, but enough people around to make it a good atmosphere.

Room Tip: We didn't do this, but the rooms with the small enclosed gardens looked great. I would definitel...
