This was our first stay at Viva Can Picafort and enjoyed it. We don't have children but we were travelling with my sister, brother in law and niece who is 10 months. Rooms / apartments were nice and spacious huge balcony with doors from bedroom and living area we were in block four on the 2nd level over looking the duck pond, good kitchen facilities, bathroom has bath with over bath shower and separate shower cubicle. Safes are 16.50 euros per week we usually have to pay for a safe on holiday anyway but do usually get a deposit back at the end of the week but not here, beach towels are free. Food and drink excellent lots to choose from at breakfast and evening meal, we choose to eat at the pool bar at lunchtime which was the best pool bar snack menu I have seen, everything anyone would look for freshly made pizzas, burgers, sandwiches, kebabs to name a few and you can order and collect to take back to your sun bed excellent idea for some. The pool bar turns into the Italian restaurant at night and the food was nice. Drinks were good, only two cocktails during the day but a huge menu in the evening and the ones we tried were lovely all branded spirits. All the staff work hard and are so friendly. Entertainment isnt great which I was surprised at with Viva being a group of hotels and it does finish at 10pm. The hotel is a short walk to the sea front but I will say found the resort to be very German orientated compared to Santa Ponsa, Palma Nova areas where we have stayed before. Weather was great sunny and high 20's we stayed 30th May - 6th June and forecast was to get hotter the weekend we left it did get cooler some evenings I always wore a cardigan. Transfer time from the airport was better than I thought we were first drop off but first pick up on the return. Palma airport is a joke for an airport that size it gets worse rather than better we waited an hour for our bags on arrival and on return the check in staff are so slow we only just had time to have something to eat before boarding which isnt fair when a 10 month old baby is hungry and needs time to eat and changed. We traveled with First Choice their rep at the airport was Spanish and useless, gone are the days you get a rep on the bus to and from the airport which doesn't bother me but what are we paying a so called reputable company for. All in all we had a fantastic holiday and would recommend Viva Can Picafort and would look at other hotels within the Viva group in the future.More
