We stayed here during June 2014. Well what a gem. This was a first holiday for my 3 year old grand-daughter, along with her mummy & myself. The whole place is very clean & smart. the pools well maintained and the food....what can we say but Top Class. The waiting staff & chefs & assistants put on amazing spreads everyday. We stayed for a week but there was something different for all of us, everyday. my little grand-daughter did not attend any clubs but she did go & paint a tee shirt at the end of our stay (despite the fact it wasn't a tee shirt paint day...the staff were more than happy to accommodate the request). The entertainment team were often playing in the pools when not providing specific activities and then they were busy on stage in the evenings. Evening entertainment was good. there have been a few comments on here about it finishing a bit early but we were ready to finish by 10.30 and it's a case of can't win for hotels because if they are family orientated then some people would moan of too much late entertainment noise!. We would get a last drink at the bar to take back to our room and once my little grand-daughter was asleep we sat on the balcony (very spacious) and chatted & read before crashing out on the very comfortable beds. Our room had a fridge & kitchenette, a bath with shower and a shower cubicle! The day before arrival I e mailed to request a pool view room ( bit late I know) Anyway when we arrived the receptionist had noted this and said it was a bit late. she said we had been allocated a room overlooking the road (which we discovered is very quiet with little traffic) however if we wanted to store our luggage and go & have lunch another room, overlooking the duck pond would be available if we preferred. We decided to go for this option....my grand-daughter was thrilled with having her own duck pond to look at. This was block 3 room 3011. We didn't manage to get the garden room with the hammocks & loungers but would probably not had much use from them anyway, but I can see the advantage if you are staying longer than a week with a couple of young children. The range of drinks is great with a fantastic team of bar staff who work long demanding hours but are always efficient & happy. The beach is about a 15/20 minute walk with a young child walking, or 10 minutes adult walk with a varied strip of shops/cafes and beachfront restaurants all reasonably priced. The sunbeds were 11eu for two beds/umbrella & coded safe which is a brilliant idea. we also had a run on the Ting Ting dotto train...3eu each adult and 1.50e for children. A 45 minute tour around the hotels and along the seafront. Not a lot to see but it was a nice little entertainment for a three year old and we all enjoyed it...it does get busy early evening tho. Sunbeds around the pools do tend to get snapped up from about 8.30 but we never not got a couple. We would definitely stay here again and i would certainly recommend it to others, especially if you have children. if you are due to go here...you will not be disappointed.

Room Tip: check out the other tips and see what you prefer. Garden rooms a big plus for family with a couple of young children. the duck pond view room was lovely with large balcony. The ducks do quack at odd times in the night but it didn't bother us. Send your e mail request one to two weeks before arrival and they are keen to make your wish come true.

I'm not into that 'Package Holiday' style, where zany pop songs are adopted as the Summer anthem, family entertainment is laid on for the sunburnt masses and bread by the truck-load fed to the overweight parents of 6 riotous kids. It was my first experience of reserving sunbed space around the kids pool by laying out your towel (funny for a Brits-exclusive resort?!).

But the kids enjoyed it and, even though it was all inclusive, we managed to escape the clutched of the resort, hired a car and found some fantastic proper local eateries, culture and history.

I won't be taking this kind of vacation again, I'll take a villa on the beach in Sri Lanka any-day.

A wonderful experience, my first all inclusive...spotless..great food, lovely beach seven minutes away, all the other good reviews are right...lots of children but staff are really great..you can enjoy it as a couple...lots of small children but still fine...go early and get an outside table on an evening, just lovely, bottled water in glass bottles available, get wine from the bar before u go if you like red at room temp....do visit the hotel website and download the bar menu and hotel info sheet and watch the video before you go. Free wifi, BBC and it TV in the rooms which are spacious..lovely cocktails which you can take back to your room. No plastic cups except poolside.Wonderful, great experience, cinema is for children, small supermarket fine, indoor pool etc good. Free washing machine and dryer very useful too. Would love to go back a sap.Only problem was flying time with Thomson, middle of the night , spoilt an otherwise excellent break...we were in block one which was very quiet , if your overlooking the pool it would be noisy, but it depends on what you want

Room Tip: Email before you go, the hotel will reply

Just arrived back from this fabulous hotel, we took our two year old grandson and we all had a great time. Hotel spotless, food varied and excellent, but have to say the staff absolutely make this hotel a winner. Nothing is too much trouble for them, from bar staff to housekeeping to restaurant staff. If you are looking for a great holiday with young children, this is hard to beat.
