Me and my husband got back from our holiday yesterday .. It was perfect . The hotel is so clean and all the staff are very friendly . The food is outstanding with a vast selection . There was alot of germans but they were all plesent enough .. The hotel is so close to the beach , bars and shops . There is a bus stop directley outside that goes to alcudia . There is also a puffa train that takes you around can picafort . The market is on a friday and has lots of stall to do some bartering and is just near the harbour about a 10min walk away . The beach is stunning with its white sand and you can go quiet far out before the sea gets too deep and you can see the fish in the sea . If anyone with a family wants a good dayout then katmandu in magaluf is a must . Our daughter is a rep over in alcudia and took us and it was amazing . Have a look at the web site it will give you more info . On the front there is lots of bars and restaurants that have entertainment . We went to a bar with tribute acts and it was a very good night we watched 3 girls who were sister act AMAZING ...
We will be returning to this hotel in the future

Room Tip: Try ro get a room at rhe back of the hotel as we were at the front above the kitchens and that was q...

Just back from a stay in THB Gran Playa C'an Picafort. Had a brilliant time. The reception was welcoming and our lack of Spanish was not a problem as the receptionist's English was, thankfully, great. We went straight to our room as it was 2am and had a sleep. We headed down to breakfast about 9.30 and were delighted with the selection that was on offer - there was plenty to meet all cultural preferences. We took a stroll to the beach - it is literally just around the corner! The beach is probably one of the nicest I have ever seen, miles of beautiful white sand and walking out in to the sea it is up to knee height for about 50 metres before it starts to gradually deepen. We hired the hammocks and parasol a couple of days but if you were a beach person it would probably suit you better to buy a parasol and lilos in the nearby shops. Every morning the lunch and dinner menu would be posted on the board on the way to the dining room. Lunch at the hotel offered a great variety with plenty of salad, fish, cooked meats (hot and cold) rice dishes, pasta noodles. Joan the maitre d' was very welcoming and always had a few words for all guests. Each evening's dinner had a different theme - Spanish, Asian, Italian, American etc and there was a great range under each theme. There was entertainment in the hotel each night apart from the Sunday. Our favourite was the drag night - and this was the busiest night of all! A great professional show that was suited to all ages, none your run of the mill drag songs here! Most memorable was My Way. Our room was cleaned each day and again the staff were friendly and great at their jobs. The staff helped with our car rental also - thank you for a great and truly memorable stay in C'an Picafort!

Room Tip: Believe it or not our room was right above the pool/entertainment area on the second floor but we he...

Hotel is situated in an ideal position for the beach. The white sandy beach is 2mins walk. The beach is only 50yards from the main prom and the water. The prom has shops, restaurants and bars. You can literally have a beer on the beach and watch the sea lap on the shore.
The hotel pool is a little on the small size but ideal for relaxing. There is a small paddling pool for infants. The weather was excellent, between 35-43deg and if you were sat by the pool, it would be extremely stifulling. As we were on the beach with a constant breeze, it was ideal and we got a good tan.
The staff were all excellent, friendly and all provided excellent service.
Food was very varied and catered for everyone. If you dont like the food then you are really picky!. Its a buffet style arrangement, so if you like to be waited on, then this is not for you. But in the whole the food was fabulous. Catered mainly for the germans, but you could have anything including a german style British cooked breakfast (different style sausage and bacon!). Salads and fruit were exceptional.
Rooms were average standard, but comfortable and clean. Bathrooms were recently updated and well presented, but small. TV had 3 main english BBC channels.
The hotel was spotlessly clean. We enjoyed our weeks stay. One of the best holidays we've had.
It is a resort catered for the germans, which we found to be OK. There was no trouble. There were some British people in the hotel and we found them (a couple) just to whinge and moan about everything! No pleasing some folk!!

Downsides...
We went Half Board and found we were sat on a different table on every service. Little off putting. If you were All Inclusive (AI) you had a set table for the duration. Everything is catered for AI.
Hotel is right on a main road with a Bar underneath on the corner. If you are positioned in a room at the front of the building, then you will be inconvenienced with the noise from the bar. If you can, get a room at the back!. Alot quieter.

We are definately going to go back there... Miss it already!...

We stayed at the THB Gran Playa July / Aug 2012 . Upon arrival the reception was impressive , albeit the rooms are small , especially for a family of 3 or more . Families and couples should be aware all beds are singles no doubles . The rooms are adequate with a modern new bathroom . The biggest positive about the hotel is its position , right in the heart of C'an Picafort only 2 minutes from the great beach and at the intersection of the main resort walkway , a superb position that is quiet at night .Taxi rank , bus stop , mini train , bank , restaurants and shops are all in the doorstep . Tip of the holiday ...Petit San Remo is a great place for food , ice cream , wine ..excellent lunch specials and wonderful staff. The THB Gran Playa also surpassed our expectations as regards food , Jose at front of house was brilliant nothing too much trouble , fresh grilled fish and meat everyday , omelettes for breakfast , fresh fruit , salad every service . The hotel pool is reasonable size , not massive , but didnt really get that busy as i guess most people like us went to the beach which is close by and lovely . Market day is friday , the local bus No.2 is only €2.50 to Puerto Pollensa and €1.50 to Alcudia , Playa de Muro or the Hydro Park . The resort has a mini train which kids and adults alike loved to get around the resort and get to and from the beach areas . We loved C'an Picafort a lovely family resort , great value .

Room Tip: Try to get a room on the beach side not the road side

Stayed at this hotel from 18th July to 25th July as family of 4, kids ages 6 and 3. Arrived at 2am after travelling 2 hours on the bus to be told that our room was not ready!! We where tired and to be told this with 2 kids was totally wrong my 6 yr old just cried and the guy who was giving us this information was some security man who basically told us that it wasn't his problem! He then phoned another hotel for us to stay for that night, so into another taxi by the time we got settled for bed it was well after 3am. The next morning a taxi back again and finally got our room the man we where dealing with this time was very nice and apologised, but it still was terrible to have experienced this.
Our room was lovely and hotel very clean..food was good but breakfast finished to early we struggled every morning to be down for 10am!
Pool was not big but there didn't seem to be alot of people in the pool so it didn't really affect the kids.
Food was fine we where all inclusive but ate out 2 nights.
Plenty going on in the resort for all ages.

This hotel is fabulous. The level of cleanliness and vigilence of staff was second to none. The food was excellent. Before I went I read other peoples comments about the food and took far too much spending money ready to eat out every night!!! No need. The hotel provide a staff member at each meal who makes freshly cooked items to order, which are delicious. There is also a fully stocked salad bar with everything you could desire, fruits, cheeses, deserts, and ready made foods with plenty of choice. The entertainment was okay, the disco night was very good. The resort is beautiful, beach close by and to die for. The pool was ideal for us as we are a family of four with two kids 9 and 4 years, quite compact and safe. In the main the staff were great except a rather tall balding barman who was a bit of a jobsworth, didn't like him one bit!! Still giving it 5 stars though!
