Came across shipwrecked on the last night of our holiday in search of somewhere different from the hotel for food. Was initially after somewhere nice by the seafront but spotted this place due to the 'man vs food' spicy chicken challenge sign outside, along with the friendly chap trying to get you to go in. The 5 of us (including 3 kids) decided to eat here as I wanted to give the man vs food a go. All the staff were extremely friendly and all stopped for a chat at some point through our being there, especially when the knew I was attempting the challenge. An excellent atmosphere here, with free bingo & the chance of winning free drinks. Before the rest of the food came I did the spicy chicken challenge, this was HOT, 5 pieces of chicken covered in their very own spicy sauce, as well as being hot it actually tasted good. The challenge is to eat the lot (in as much time as you wish), without having a drink whilst eating & for 5 minutes afterwards, if you succeed then you get the meal free, a free drink, a t-shirt & your name on the wall of fame. I did it in 5 minutes and didn't really struggle but I have a high tolerance and liking of hot food. When our 'proper' meals came all the food was great & enjoyed by all. Would highly recommend shipwrecked, which apparently turns into a late night bar/club after 9pm.

Only came in for one drink, and due to the atmosphere, the staff (especially Mark & isabelle) and the fab food, we ended up coming back every night of our 10 night holiday. We had my birthday tea here also. The staff make it so special. If Mark & Isabelle are here next year we will definatley be back.

thanks guys, you are amazing...

Varied menu, excellent food and friendly staff. All meals generously proportioned and nicely presented. Sunday roast and belly buster breakfasts. Go there, you wont be disappointed.
