Stayed mid June 2013 for a week half board. It's true that the hotel is geared mainly to Germans but don't let this put you off. I certainly didn't lol.
The rooms are really poor quality. Please be aware that if you are single and book the standard room you will get an 8x6 room with bathroom you can't turn around in. I was lucky enough that the lovely caty on reception tool pity on me and arranged for me to move to a slightly bigger room- thanks caty.
Ok so once settled in now the food. To be honest I thought it wad fine, ok I do like continental food, so it was no surprise to find rabbit casserole on the menu. Breakfast ok, plenty of cold meats, cheeses, bread, olives, toast, cereal, fresh fruit and jams or preserves. Cooked option was plentiful always found something - bacon, eggs fried, boiled or scrambled, beans, sausages, tomato etc. Please do not come here expecting your English bangers as it will be a disappointment, but I found breakfast very adequate. Coffee could do with being better. Would recommend you bring your favourite brand of instant from home and use the hot water from the machine.
Dinner was good though nothing special. But loads of choice and all fresh - salads, hams, cheeses, hot choices included lasagne, spaghetti, veal casserole, roast chicken, fish cooked to order, pork ribs and the usuals - rice, chips, potatoes, vegetables and salad. Plenty of sweets and desserts including fruit, cakes, pastries etc.
Interesting is the help youself all inclusive drinks red white and rose wine and beer, fruit juice and water. It costs 4 euros to use this per person which actually is reasonable as a pint of beer costs upwards of 2.5 euros in resort. I didn't go all inc but paid for dinner drinks once or twice drinks were ok v reasonable.
Beware mosquitoes near beach area I got bitten on day one lol they always come for me.
What sets this hotel apart Is the extremely good customer service. Nothing is too much trouble and all the staff wear smiles. It's the guests that need a bit more jollity really. No offence intended to the Germans as I would prefer to our sometimes British louts you can find in all inclusive in Spain.
I would recommend a visit but do this with an open mind and be prepared to work on getting under eath the German reserve.
