Just returned from another greag holiday at this hotel and if anything it has got better. There are more sunbeds, the restaurant has been nicely freshened up and there is free wifi, although the connection is a little erratic.
The food was always good, but this year it was better still. Well done to Pedro and the team. Special mentions for Xisca and Marina who always welcomed us warmly and with a smile.
The entertainment team of Tom and Tash worked hard and did an excellent job, but come on Thomson, two of them is not enough, they may be young but they are not indestructible. We dont understand why you sent Zoe to another hotel that was already well staffed. We enjoyed the new games, especially corn hole and aqua basketball, and the boule was as competitive as ever.
we recommend the organised visit to a local tapas bar, the food was nice and it was a good social. Also, try the trip to Alcudia old town, it is only €1.60 each way on the bus and a thomson rep is on hand to tell you when to get on and off.
Thanks to Lesley for meeting our room request, it really helps to make the holiday a good one.
Was nice to see all the usual gang there and the first timers too. Will we go again? Of course we will, its already booked. See you next year.

Room Tip: For a sea view go for the outward facing rooms on the upper floor of blocks B, C and D

This was our 6th time at this hotel, the last visit before this was 2010 so things had changed since then,

the new things,

new manager, Jose Maria, always wandering around smiling and ensuring things were runnng smoothly. He even carried some cases to the return coach and gave everybody a warm goodbye. The new head chef has got it right, everything is 100% in the dining room! Walk in showers in the immaculate rooms, a real plus. Wifi is a bit flaky but hey we were not there to sundbed surf. Chris and the Thompson team were on top form, we did take up 2 trips, 'East Cost Trio' €43 each, we'll worth the day out, and Chris taking us on a free trip around old town Alcudia (€1.60 each way on the bus).

Old things -

Pedro as always is on hand in the dinging room to keep everybody happy and genuinely remembers returning guests, as does Lesley and her team on reception (sorry cannot remember all names). The sun beds do get a bit busy around the pool but there are plenty to go around. The bar was busy in the evenings but then the All Inclusive option I guess affects that, we were on HB so it was not an issue to wander out and visit the local bars and food places. Ting ting train has improved with new livery and 2 trains.

If you wonder outside the hotel, turn right and you have a quiet beach, bars and a couple of food places. Also venture further and you come across an ancient necropolis and even further you hit secluded beaches near an old tower. Turn left towards Can Picafort town and there are loads of places to eat and drink.

Only grips, was walking through 'smoke alley' before and after meals, have nothing against smokers but the bar outside area is a no go if you want fresh air and smoke free atmosphere. Must be something that can be done.

All in all a great holiday, sadly we have done Can Picafort to death and are looking further afield at Gold hotels elsewhere, please do not be put off by anything I have written go to this hotel and you will not be disappointed,

This was our 6th time at PP and again it was another memorable holiday for us.
On arrival we were greeted by the Thomson reps and then dealt with speedily and cheerfully by the receptionist. Our room request had been met by the lovely Lesley and again we had a room in E block. There are 9 blocks set around the 3 interlocking pools each with 3 floors. The room we had was perfectly adequate with a decent bathroom, free fridge, TV and balcony.
The restaurant served a good variety of different dishes each meal and included a carvery served by the head chef at dinner. The food was well prepared and we found it very acceptable. There is a snack bar by the pool for daytime bits and drinks.
The best thing about PP is the space around the pool. There are plenty of sunbeds both by the pool and also on the grassy slopes facing the pool.
The daily keep fit in the pool and daytime games are run enthusiastically by Tom and Tash and the daily water volleyball was enjoyed by both participants and viewers.
The manager Jose Marie is frequently around ensuring everyone is having a good time and all the staff are happy and approachable.
The evening entertainment was varied with Thomson Production company doing some evenings and tribute bands etc on others. We enjoyed Beatles, Temptations, Bee Gees,The Sundaes, Tucker (comedian) and 70's Rock band.
Tom and Tash worked hard each night comparing and doing the cash bingo.
The resident duo 'Ready to Go' were again very accomplished. The sound system is quite loud and at the sides becomes distorted and needs sorting.
Outside the mini train runs all around C'an Picafort and Son Boulo and is a good way to see the town. Turn left outside and 2 minutes takes you to the bus stop for buses to C'an Picafort. Alcudia and Puerto Pollensa.
There is a nice promenade a few minutes away that runs to C'an Picafort about a 20 minute walk by the sea into the centre of town. Here there are many bars, restaurants and shops to please everyone. A 5 minute walk the other way takes you to the nearest sandy beach at Son Boulo past several bars and restaurants.
On Friday each week the local market is only 3 minutes away with a multitude of different stalls.
If you like an easy going holiday in good company this Adult-only hotel is well worth considering as we find that the staff here are some of the friendliest we have met.

Room Tip: No lifts so if you have walking problems request a ground floor room.

First visit to Picafort Park Hotel with a large party of 18 friends. We arrived just at the end of lunchtime and were immediately taken to the restaurant to eat which was very welcome. The reception staff are absolutely ace especially head receptionist Lesley, who is fantastic in a crisis. The rooms were clean and airconditioned and we had a walk in shower which is so much easier than stepping in and out of a bath. Sunbeds were easily obtainable even for our big party. The restaurant cannot be faulted for the choice and availability of food for every meal. The poolside bar also offered hot and cold snacks and the staff were great. The entertainment was very good and varied but the resident due 'Ready to Go' were just too loud and it was difficult to hear when they spoke or to chat to each other when they were singing. Tom and Tash were very young and enthusiastic and did a good job with the bingo. The manager was always on hand and extremely friendly and professional. Towels could be hired with a 10euro returnable deposit but safe rental was a little expensive. This was our first visit to a Thomson Gold hotel and wont be the last. I cannot understand anyone criticising the food choice, it was amazing!!

Room Tip: Some rooms have walk in showers

Just arrived back from this hotel and wanted to write whilst it is all fresh in my mind. From the minute you step inside this hotel you feel welcome and looked after. The pool is large and has a shallow end. The gardens are vast and well maintained. There are plenty sunbeds for everyone although if you want one by the pool you need to be up early, some even put towels on in the dark. The beds in the gardens are lovely and you can still see and get to the pool easily, we found it more relaxing. Unlike some gold hotels you can easily get to the town by the path along the sea front, it was a
Lovely 10 minute stroll for us. Also in the opposite direction you will find bars and shops and a lovely beach. The land train stops outside the hotel and you can do a round trip for €3 which gives you an idea where things are. There is also a bus stop to left of the hotel which will take you to other areas. We had a ground floor garden/pool view which was lovely. Plenty hangers/drawers etc. tea/coffee making facilities. All the staff at this hotel are happy and smiling and very efficient. The food is excellent piping hot and varied. We had salmon, beef, pork chicken, turkey, pasta, tapas etc etc. cannot fault it. We are not usually bothered about the entertainment but have to say it was actually very good.
The only gripe is the wifi, we literally had to sit in the bathroom to get a connection !! But I wouldn't let that put you off.
