the levente park is ok nothing to set the world on fire a very steady hotel which if you are older is ok , but in the summer the hotel should take in to consideration it may have a younger client base we had booked a superior room which was ok good view over pool and sea, flowers one half dead gerbera on arrival then nothing for two weeks , air con appauling complained to and they put a card in the box to keep it on all the time it never got above a breeze, beds hard and very unconfortable with plastic matress protectors on , no drawrer space in room and hopless wardrobe, fridge never cold , restraunt food is quite good but very bland and often the same, ie if they had a carvey with roast meat then there would be sliced meat in gravy on the buffet, one night sliced turkey in gravy mashed potatoes and sprouts i thought we had arrived at christmas not july , restraunt air con hopeless we opened window for some air and got told off, if the air con was working properly then we wouldnt have opened the window, restraunt short of staff hard to get a drink , you cant have a glass of ros'e wine but you can have white or red , mad , went on the orange grove trip with tomson which was promised to be a good day only to b spoilt by every time you arrived in places they cut them short so you dont have chance to see anything, they take you to a supposed leather factory which sells 90percent of goods which are plastic the only reason the place smells of leather is because they hang wash leathers at the top of the stairs how naive do they think we are so beware.

Our 3rd visit to the Levante Park in Cala Bona was as wonderful as always.

Sunbed situation seemed to have eased, you could get a lounger and parasol easily just before breakfast which suited us fine. Or if you are up early for one, make sure you nip along for an early morning stroll to the harbour as the Cala Bona sunrise is simply stunning.
Food I felt had taken a step up this year, more options on the fresh fish and meat grill, always a roast and the hot buffet and salad was wonderful, soooo much to choose from and all delicious, changed regularly so all very fresh. Breakfast also wonderful as always, especially the omelettes grilled to order with toppings of your choice, magic !!
Hotel staff team friendly helpful and lovely as always, can't fault them.
Thomson team and Thomson Gold Entertainment team Charlotte, Martin, Matthew & Rebecca were absolutely brilliant this year a huge improvement on the 2011 team. Activities organised well and you could take them or leave them. New prizes this year too if you were lucky enough to win one.
Evening entertainment, no bingo booooo, though not the end of the world, due to new gambling licence regulations, I do hope Thomson splash out and get the licence for next year as I do like a wee flutter on the bingo.
The at the Levante this year were again much improved on last year, Ancora tribute to El Divo, John Lazlo as Elvis, Tom Jones, Rod STewart (not Dylan Cassidy he's not in Majorca this year) were all on our week and also a comedian who was super too on the night we left, but must have been fair tricky as Spain won the Euro 2012 the night he was on and everytime a goal was scored Olay Olay Olay Olay bounced round the room, magic atmosphere though Well Done Espana !!! The resident duo were pretty good, great personalities on stage and the soloist in Levante Park was great too, for a quieter night with a quiz and great music the Park is the place to go in the evenings. The entertainment team were all extremley talented singers and dancers and performed in shows on the nights the big acts werent on.
The Levante Snack Bar was super this year, you got a complimentary tapa with every drink or a cake with your tea or coffee, a nice touch indeed, most impressed.
Around the resort, which is a magical place, and once you've been bitten with the Cala Bona bug, you'll never want to go anywhere else. The Brollies at the Cala Bona Hotel and Thalassa Cafe a great place to sit in the evening and watch the world go by and watch the street entertainers especially Mr Gorat in his wee car, his show is fabulous and not to be missed. Melis also a lovely place to sit and great for a lunch time snack.
For a singalong and great humour get yourselves along to Sanddancers (1 street back from the Levante Park) Run by a lovely Geordie family Faz, Tracey, Fazel & Smirnoff the dog, Faz's DJ banter is genius, great music 60's to present day and karaoke, for those who fancy a sing song, its also a great place to listen to some of the extremley talented Thomson reps, with their stunning vocal skills its a nights entertainment in itself, Sanddancers drinks are extremley well priced and Tracy's late night snacks are delicious especially the nachos.

Only Bad points were this Thomson Gold is no longer 1st drop off, its now last drop off which means it takes longer to get to the hotel, not good if you're on a night flight.
Also Our elderly relatives where put in the Levante when they had booked the Levante Park, which caused distress on arrival at 4am !! But the fabulous Thomson team organised meals in the Park for them to be with us and would have transferred room but we decided it was easier for them to stay in the Levante as they had a low floor and easy access to the fabulous 3rd floor sundeck. Still not sure why this happened, Thomson are looking into it for us. We await their response......!!

One last thing, the mosquitos are bad on the Island on this year, I got a terrible bite which made my arm swell up, though the pharmacia soon had it sorted for a few euros. So if you are prone to bites make sure you take protection and also a good antihesimene (apologies for spelling) & antihistimine cream

See you next year Levante Park, love from Nicola & Colin, Berwick upon Tweed

Room Tip: Request or book a Sea View lower numbers better for example 401-410 depending on which floor you are...

We have just returned from holiday at this hotel and without doubt this hotel ticked all the excellent boxes at the end of my holiday review.
The food is great the staff first class cleanliness excellent this is a hotel that I would reccomend without doubt
The position of the hotel for us was very good a few minutes from the harbour
I would not recommend the Thompson Orange Blossom Trail trip we were one and half houres picking up forom hotels in various resorts before we were on our way the first stop Inca with a small coffee bar with the amount of people there we wer unable to get coffee then onto a monastry just time to look around but not the gardens or Museum then to PortSoller just enough time far lunch but little time to look around then onto the Orange Blossom Traail except there is no blossom as it is now changed to fruit and with 17 tunnels you are in darkness quite sometime at 60 euros its not worh it just to see some nice mountain scenes.
Use the public transport for your sightseeing to a range of resorts as the bus stop is near the hotel

I have just read a review from the same period that we stayed at the Levante Park. In reply I find it very hard to criticise the food as we found it vewry satisfactory, in fact the two Gala Dinner evenings were extremely appetizing. The p;ool area was up to standard and the hotel itself was spotlessly clean. In fact the rooms were cleaned every day.
The Thomson entertainment team were excellent and the productions both at the Levante Park and Levente were of very high standards.
Weather was excellent and another hightlight was a trip to see Come Fly With Me (A Frank Sinatra Tribute Show) which was an excellent evening. Looking foward to a possible return next year.

Room Tip: Try to book a front seaview room as the back rooms can be a little bit noisy.

My wife and I stayed here as part of a Thompson package. It’s not the type of place I’d usually stay, but the Thompson staff are doing their job and undertaking it with professionalism and enthusiasm; napkin folding and water aerobics with septuagenarian sunburnt women just isn’t my thing though.
There wasn’t much availability and we booked late, so only myself to blame. That said I’m happy to objectively look at the Levante Park as a hotel and just stick to the facts; so here they are:

Reception staff, check in and general experience: Excellent. Very pleasant staff, always happy to help, a credit to the general manager. I recall that Maria & Sean were very good arranging late check out and car hire.

Rooms: OK. Nothing amazing and probably similar in size to everything else in this type and age of resort, but clean and tidy with a sea view. On the down side, I’d have liked some tea & coffee facilities in the room and a spare plug socket would be nice. If you wanted to plug anything in, then the TV had to unplugged.

Pool area: OK, but you need to be up early if you want to get a sun bed with a parasol, as around only half of the pairs of sun beds have parasols. Snack bar fare and prices perfectly acceptable. The indoor pool and turkish bath was no open though.

Restaurant: Terrible. Dinner is a buffet offering. Lots of cooked food languishing under hot lamps has never been a recipe for success and the Lavante Park’s dinner buffet is no exception. The choice of drinks is also poor. You cannot order a gin & tonic, or a single glass of wine, only beer and full bottles of wine. The restaurant is under-staffed which in turn leads to fairly patchy service when busy. Even though we had a half board arrangement, we only lasted two nights before throwing ourselves onto the mercy of the local restaurants.

Not long back from Lavante Park. Best holiday we,ve had so far. Can honestly say that there was nothing bad about this hotel, clean, friendly, food was outstanding, wheather was brill, reps were friendly and helpful. The only thing that spoilt it was that they didnt put our suitcases on the bus back and therefore we have had to wait nearly a week for their return, would go back any day.
