Fantastic hotel, food excellent, we were all inclusive. Great for younger children, ours are 14 & 12 and they struggled a bit in the evenings but having said that they were in the lovely pool all the time. Cala Bona is a lovely harbour resort with lovely restaurants (highly recommend Lemongrass Thai on the harbour front!!) Only a 15 minute walk (depending on how many shops you stop in on the way) to Calla Millor, this has a lovely sandy beach and is busier than Cala Bona. Would highly recommend a visit, we hope to go back.

When we booked this hotel for our family (2 adults, 2 children 4 and 1 1/2) we booked on the basis of the excellent reviews and also the fabulous looking facilities.
Our initial flight was delayed but we were able to check our bags in prior to departure as this was offered by Thomson and Birmingham airport. Flight was just long enough for 2 young children. Palma airport is BIG! After collecting our bags the reps pointed us to our coach which was a short walk and then we were on our way. Transfer took approximately 1 hour.

On arrival at the hotel we were greeted by the reception staff who were friendly, check in took about 5 minutes and we were given a room which we had requested, a bonus!
We were in room 4217 which overlooked the splash pool at the rear of the hotel and had sun in the afternoon.
Room was clean spacious and included TV with English channels, hair dryer, fridge, kettle etc. balcony was safe and lockable. You will have to pay for the safe and TV remote and towels, if you need them.
Hotel had plenty on offer for children including the splash pool which was knee deep for adults, a soft play room, outdoor covered slides and climbing frames and plenty of entertainment. We were never pressured into joining in any of the games and if we needed somewhere quiet there were always spots away from the main pool to relax.
As we were SC we did try the restaurant a couple of nights, food was ok with plenty of options but we do like to try different foods so we ate out everyday and there were plenty of places to choose from.
At night time there was entertainment from the Thomson reps who had been working all day so I take my hat off to them!

Overall we would come back to this hotel on the basis of our stay. I would certainly recommend this hotel to families with young children. Cala Bona was a safe place and very friendly

We went to hotel Bonaire last July and we enjoyed it so much that we're going again this July. It was great location, just about 10 steps from the restaurant I tasted best pizza in my whole life. "Panetosto" it was called and also there's a frozen yoghurt place just 5 minutes away. Hotel rooms are very very comfortable and the pool is huge! So many kids ere, my daughter loved it because she met loads of people. There's a lot of perfectly priced restaurants and great location. Such a perfect holiday!

My wife and little girl stayed at the Bonaire twice before my daughter hit two and found it to be friendly and very geared towards families with lots of entertainment. The only criticism was the kids pool was quite small compared to the fantastic, snaking pool for the grown ups and confident swimmers. However, traveling back there last month, now with a son in tow, the resort has gone from strength to strength with a new kids play area (equipped with a pirate ship, water cannons and slides) that our children were magnetised to for most of our stay.

Also, our daughter has recently been diagnosed as coeliac which left us feeling a little anxious about how she would fare eating at the restaurant. We needn't have been worried as the staff were amazing, explaining what she could have from the menu and even cooking up alternatives for her if there was nothing that she liked.

I can't recommend this resort highly enough and, hopefully, we'll be back for our fourth trip next year!

Room Tip: I'd go for a room facing the new kids pool area, that way you get the sun in the evening so, aft...

What a great week we had with our two daughters aged 2 and 3. They loved the hotel splash pool, indoor pool and park. Cala bona is a beautiful harbour resort with lovely restaurant s and a great atmosphere. We went self catering as our kids don't eat much and would do the same again. We ate in the hotel twice which was fine but we love going out and had wonderful meals. Will return as there is more we want to do and explore. Fabulous family hotel and resort. Highly recommend.

Spent a lovely week with my Mum, friendly, helpful staff especially Sheena the entertainer. Food was excellent and the hotel is the cleanest we have ever stayed in. Hotel close enough to everything without being noisy at night. Hope to return another year!

Just been on a 2 week holiday with my 3 kids and other family members, we went on the 18th May and back home :-( on the 1st June and what a brilliant place this is, absolutely loved every minute of it. The entertainment during the day round the pool is fab kids loved it and the same can be said for the night time as well in the club Thomson should be very proud of them selves. The resort it's self is very nice the rooms are very spacious, modern and very clean all tho not much to the kitchen area just a little fridge a micro and 2 ringed hob. We was half board and was considering upgrading to all inclusive which is €19 per person per day but by the time we had breakfast and then bought our own dinner and then had tea we realised it wernt worth it as it's not that dear to eat out or buy a meal from round the pool area. Food was all so very nice, lots to choose from and something different every night. This place is fab I highly recommend it for family's u will have a brill time.... I no we will definitely be making a second visit :-). P.S weather was glorious a couple of rainy days and a thunder and lightening storm but it was still hot and the storm was amazing to watch.
