Ok, we arrived this morning. Rarely would I leave a review so early. The hotel/apartments are extremely clean, well appointed, spacious and graced with a view of the pool, fantastic. Tired and hungry, decided to eat in the sister hotel across the road (Floriana Resort) WOW! Not fine dining, however for €19, a great array of salads, all very fresh and fresh, mains - large selection of freshly cooked meat, pasta, vegetables and sauces, desserts - tiny cakes, jelly and a cornucopia of loveliness and then, great cheese buffet style dining with style. Yes €19. Oh, I forgot to mention, beer and wine included. Not Spanish but incredibly good value. All dishes well tended, spotlessly clean. We will eat elsewhere whilst here and report back. We will definitely eat at The Floriana again.

Have Stayed here the last two years and it just gets better, You will not find better Apartments in Cala Bona believe me, they are clean, in a ideal location with Quite surroundings but close to all that is going on, the barman is the best in Cala Bona , he can't do enough for everybody, food at bar second to none all made by Augustin the Barman, one of the nicest people you will meet, overall Cala bona is a lovely place and most people go time after time.

Went here with my parents, husband, brother and sister in law. Really lovely place really quiet pool with a great bar selling nice food and drinks at really reasonable prices. We stayed in an apartment with separate bedroom really lovely very clean and spacious. Close walk to bars and restaurants. Cleaned every day and given fresh towels. Beautiful place would definitely go back.

We spent the last week of October here in a one bed apt, and honestly for what we paid we got an absolute bargain, and one of the best holidays we have had for ages. Clean, quiet, great location and with the nicest barman!!! Some days we were the only ones in the pool and had the pick of sunbeds daily, no 6am sunbed-hogging which was brilliant. The bonus for going so late in the season I suppose. We had freakily hot weather the whole week, so we have come back tanned which we didn't expect.

We were left to our own devices...no rep!!! (Come on people do you really need a rep??? I think not. Thomson have a 24hr phone line, call them!!! Augustin the barman gave us loads of help and info about getting around, etc.)

After an hours journey from the airport, you actually check in at the Floriana across the road - the receptionists are all lovely and explained everything brilliantly. We got taken to the apartments by golf buggy, but we could easily have walked. We had ground floor apt 3005, all the apts have pool view. Our apts air con wasn't working well, so it was duly reported to reception and fixed almost immediately.

Our one bed apt was really spacious, seperate kitchen with everything you could need, and an old fashioned whistling kettle to go on the hob. I bought a scourer and some washing up liquid in Spar down the road, but we only had breakfast and drinks in the apt so didn't really need them much.

Pool was chilly but really clean.

There is a cleaning service 5 days (not weds or sun) that was explained, but if on weds/sun you need anything, just phone reception. Bedding was crisp and clean as were the towels, and we were left a couple of tea towels as well.

Its a 5-10 min stroll to the sea/promenade, turn left and wander down to the harbour, turn right and in another 10 mins you're in Cala Millor.

We ate out all 7 nights, and I have reviewed all the restaurants seperately. Great ones were Xaloc, Alma Miya, and Lemon Grass (all by harbour), and Tapas Sa Caleta in Cala Millor.

Spar Supermarket Paula is pretty cheap for essentials and wines & spirits - the owner is grumpy but hey ho, cheap alcohol and a nice bakery section. Do try Hierbas if you have't already - a very moorish Majorcan shot - I had to get some to bring home, its lovely!

One of the highlights of our holiday was Augustin on the bar - he is such a nice guy, and he has been there 6 years so knows what he is doing. We had lunch most days by the pool, cba going out! Everything he made us was lovely and really good value. He always had time to chat and even brought our drinks over to our balcony on the last day! I'm sure he doesn't get time during the busy summer months as he runs this place on his own (does all the cooking, serving, clearing etc with no help).

We hired a car for one day from Protur - simple easy and about €49 - just go to hotel reception the day before and book it. No faffing about with credit cards and deposits, just pay and drive! Excellent.

Will we go again...yes definitely.

Massive thank you to Augustin, you do a really good job, hope we see you again next time!

Loved the hotel for its quiet ambience. Only knit picks no thomson rep on transfers, had to go to another hotel for a rep who wasn't always there and our departure transfer details never showed up. Bar man wasn't a very happy chappy except the one who covered Sunday, his pwrsonality was uplifting. My mates birthday however a receptionist delivered a bottle of plonk to him which I thought was lovely and unexpected, thanks.

Have just arrived back from a weeks holiday at these appartments and we had a truly amazing time. Clean, quiet, close to beach and lovely staff. Safe hire available at cheap rate, check in at Floriana Hotel (just a couple of minutes away) easy and friendly (unfortunately pool bar staff were not) With regard to last comment Bahia Azul has its own pool bar where staff were VERY friendly, shame it only stays open until 6pm!!! All in all a lovely, laid back holiday, we will go back x

We stayed here from the 10th to the 17th October 2013 and were pleased to find that around 95% of the bars and restaurants were still open. The transfer time from the airport took 1 hour. Check-in takes place at the Floriana Resort opposite and was swift and friendly. The safe cost 2 euro per night plus a 5 euro refundable deposit and is a very good size. The remote for the TV also required a 5 euro refundable deposit for a week. There was no Thomson rep on the coach transfer or at either the Floriana or Bahia Azul during the whole week of our stay although she was available at the Hotel Cala Bona although we were never invited to a welcome meeting which could have been useful seeing as this was our first stay in Cala Bona. The apartment was a good size, clean and comfortable. If forced to be picky the balcony could have done with a lick of paint and also the bathroom ceiling. The shower head needed replacing as it was old and leaking although there was always hot water and good pressure. The air conditioning was very weak but this did not bother us too much as the temperatures where not that high but it would not have kept the room cool during the summer months. There was maid service 5 days a week and the room was kept clean and towels and toilet rolls changed and replaced daily. The Barman as mentioned in many previous reviews is superb and really goes the extra mile to make sure you are happy. The snack food at the pool bar was very nice and great value to. Pizza and chips (big enough for 2 people to share) and a pint of beer (served in an iced glass) were just 10 euros and the beer here was the best that I tasted during our whole weeks stay. Guests of the Bahia Azul are also allowed to use the facilities at the Floriana Resort which was useful on the odd occasion that we needed to use the free Wi-Fi in the lobby area and there is also a shortcut through the grounds down to the sea front. Other than that we chose to avoid it as there were so many children running around and screaming at the tops of their voices. Please do not be put off with the minor negative points as I am sure that they will probably be addressed in the close season. We were looking for somewhere clean and quiet but within walking distance to the harbour and this proved to be perfect and we would not hesitate in recommending it to friends or family.
