We stayed in the Esmeralda villas which are set slightly away from the main hotel and have a lovely sea view. We booked directly with the hotel to get this . We had a two bedroom villa which had shared access to a pool and sunbathing area shared by 10 other apartments - this was great as it was never crowded and being on the ground floor meant that the pool was on our doorstep. As others have said, the place is kept spotless and the staff are friendly and helpful. The setting is stunning - turquoise sea and well kept grounds. We found the food at the hotel pretty decent but there are lots of places to eat and drink nearby if you don't fancy walking into town which takes about 10 minutes.
There were a LOT of other families with young children staying at the main hotel and the sister hotel, Cala Azul Park next door. This is ok when you've got little ones of your own but if are travelling as a couple or as a group of friends this is probably not the resort for you!More
