We stayed here what must have been the german school holidays ,as everyone that came had at least two children who literally spent all the holiday screaming in the pool. The apartments were excellently clean and spacious but if you were self catering very basic equipment. We were in the azul park side but on reflection would have preferred to be in the garden apartments as it was less noisy and had more English people staying there. The resort itself is split into small coves and tiny beaches which get crowded very quickly, lots of restaurants but not a lot of bars and prices leave a lot to be desired. We don't think we shall come to this area again as there isn't a lot to do unless you like sunbathing and walking.

Stayed there for 7 nights, everything was good. Rooms decent size, clean, nice balcony. We did ask for a superior room when we booked. Its near the beach, a few shops and a short walk to restaurants & bars. You can get bus easily to cala mongrago. relaxing holiday which is what we needed!

Just returned from 10 days at the Cala Azul Park with my husband and it was the perfect place to stay for us! It is a little confusing at first as all the Inturotel hotels have very similar names and our coach driver couldn't work out who was staying where, and when we tried to check in at the Cala azul park reception we were told we had to check in at next door's hotel (esmerelda park) even though we were actually staying at Cala azul! But after check in, I can't praise this hotel enough. The room was very spacious, shower excellent, balcony large and private with sea view (not sure if this was just luck, or because we were in a superior 1 bedroom apartment). You can use the facilities at all the Inturotel hotels which is great. The 2 "park" hotels are situated on small coves - small beaches with crystal clear sea, very picturesque. There's 2 big pools here as well as 3 small ones, we found you could get a sun lounger at any pool at any time of day and the pools were always pretty quiet. There are 2 more pools you can use in the "garden" hotels, which are set back from the coast. My husband particularly liked the Cala azul garden as the pool was very deep so no children. Overall they kept the resort really clean, and the feeling is of low key class despite the size and facilities, so was perfect for us. There is an animation team who did kids club, aerobics, evening entertainment etc based at the esmerelda park but we didn't get involved with this, but this is probably the best hotel if you have children. The town centre is about a 10 minute walk away, but there are plenty of bars and restaurants on the way in, and the Marina is a nice half an hour stroll. Cala D'or has lots of restaurants and cocktail bars, and although there are a lot of tribute acts it's not too tacky; and there are plenty of restaurants at the classy Marina too! A fabulous holiday!

We were pleasantly surprised by this hotel as it was clean, in a great location, very friendly staff and if you have children request this instead of the gardens part. the location is only a few minute walk away from local beach and about 5 or 10 minute walks from big beaches. THe beds are not verry comfortable though... the pool area is very suitable for children although good places seem to go early like most hotels. across the road from the hotel is a Spar which is well stocked so you can buy everything you need. we found it easier to do breakfast in our balcony as we have a toddler! lunch we mainly ate at one of the many places in the resort. Dinner places to recommend : Papparazzi just accross the road from hotel Or you could walk to the main town which is 15 minutes away and we found these 2 Majorcan restaurants absolutely fantastic. Ca' n Trompe or Es Caliu. we recommed you eat over here as the food was delicious!
We got caught our eating at other places around and the food was not good at all.

would go back!

It was advertised as a 4* online, then phoning direct and was assured it was a 4* turns out when we got there it was 3* I requested a pool/seaview. When we arrived 2 hours delay to Cala Dor-Calz Azul Park we were given the room details B306. This room was very small, and when you stepped out onto the balcony you were greeted by 2 very large trees, plus you were overlooking a busy road! I immediately went down to reception and asked to be moved, also stated it was no way this was 4* to be told to come back on Mon but try tomorrow on the Sun as they were fully booked. My husband followed someone who had just arrived and were going into F block with a pool view. I asked again both on the Sun/Mon to be told the same. I spoke to the rep Naisha who was very rude/abrupt who asked my name and room number on the Tues 2 Aug, whereby a few hours later a note under my door asking if I was enjoying my holiday? so she ignored what I had said to her! I was speaking to other people in block F and a lady said that next door had been empty the whole time and that she never requested a seaview yet got given one. The other thing that was disturbing was the food during the evening my child is Lactose Intolerant to dairy products, when I put on her plate a turkey nugget it turned out there was cheese in it which resulted in her being poorly a few days of the holiday, plus there was an allot of dishes with cheese or fish in them and no mention of this. Then my husband picked up looked like meat balls but was strongenoff and pointed out to the waiter that it was cold and red raw inside, he didn't eat it otherwise he could have been very ill. Went in Aug still awaiting for Thomas Cook to come back to me and we are nearly in October!! Try Monarch as they are excellent as had a fab time in April.

Room Tip: Ask for F Block if you decide to go here

Booked via my agents into the incorrect part of this complex the azul park gardens not the azul park be aware these are distinctly different parts of the complex. Azul park gardens then not azul park very clean rooms spotlessly clean and well serviced, take a travel kettle if you want your early morning cuppa quickly , kettle on the electric ring takes an age.

Pool area and snack bar very nice again very clean , Tereza, in snack bar lovely, helpful and pleasant , rest of staff a bit offhand and not very interested in asisting if it meant doing any work , maybe a spanish thing ! I dont know. The Azul Garden shas very cheap uncomfortable platic flat non adjustable sunbeds , no sea views ans awalk of a few hot minutes to the Azul park and esmerelda which border the beach ,either of these better choices . But as my travel agent booked me incorrectly into the Gardens we made best of it and walked tio nice small beach each day. snackbars open 11.30 am and gardens snckbar closes up at 6.0 pm. TV in room volume governed down had to request it be turned up some english channels. overall ok but would not rush back

Room Tip: dont stay in the gardens , insist on the "Azul park" and not the "Azul park gardens&q...

This was a family holiday with our daughter,son-in-law and two grandchildren. We selected the hotel based on Tripadvisors reports. We were not disappointed. Although we did not have a sea view the apartment consisting of a large kitchen/lounge, balcony, bathroom and large bedroom was excellent - spotlessly clean. As this was a holiday for the kids we didn't go beyond the beaches and town of Cala Dor.The hotel consisting of a number of linked 3 storey blocks overlooks a small bay - beautiful. Although there was no sandy beach you could swim from a small concreted area. However there was a beautiful sandy beach on the next cove - perfect for the kids to build sandcastles and very safe to swim off the gently sloping beach. The hotel had two pools and a toddler pool which we used frequently. Sunloungers by the poolside meant we could keep a close eye on the children. We generally went into the town for dinner although we did try the hotel's buffet dinner once. It was OK but rather manic with children rushing around. For a quieter experience you have to pay however. We especially liked the restaurants at the marina which involved a 20 min walk through the town. Entertainment at the hotel and its adjacent hotel was strictly aimed at the 3 to 10 year olds but in the town there were 2 bars with open air entertainment featuring " The Beatles", "Rod Stewart" etc. Overall we had a great time.
