Travelled mid-October with my wife and 2 boys aged 11 and 6. Weather was great. Arrived at hotel about 8:00pm, was invited to go straight to restuarant and have our dinner - checked in after this, a nice touch. Receptionists were very nice and helpful.
Dinner was lovely, not the biggest of selection, but was comparative to the number of guests. My boys - one a very fussy eater - didn't struggle at all for anything to eat. Self-service drinks is good idea, means you're not having to go thirsty while waiting on a waiter. Tables were cleared after finishing meal very quickly. All drinks were the real deal i.e. coca-cola, fanta, etc. Meal times were good occasion for us all.
We are not big alcohol drinkers but quality of drinks was good enough. Strong beer and the usual local spirits. Option to upgrade to premium drinks for 11 euros per all adults in room.
We don't usually watch the entertainment when away but some of the acts were OK. Dancers and singers were good, and others tried their best. One night was that bad it actually was entertaining - probably not suited to British tastes and I'm not being snobby! Didn't like the clown type guy that stripped - wasn't appropriate for the kids.
Pools' were great - clean and fresh although a bit cool that time of year, the boys couldn't stay in all day, but that's nothing the hotel has control of!
We don't let our boys go away with strangers to the kids club - that's just the way we always are nowadays -, but did accompany them a couple times for archery and darts - very good and the animation team were very kid frinedly.
Room was fine - 3 star - larger than we're used to. Air conditioning wasn't perfect and we still struggled with the heat and night. It's been mentioned that the Switch Key for the electricity falls out after 5 mins - it does, so we taped ours in with no problem - this helped and I didn't even bother mentioning it to the hotel - it wasn't a real problem after that. Rooms were cleaned frequently - my wife's worse than Monica Geller and she was happy enough with the cleanliness! If you don't get a towel change or new soap just ask - it was never a problem.
Hotel seemed the liveliest in a small, quiet resort - perfect for families. Hotel is close to beach. Road Train stops right outside hotel for Cala D'Or.
Upon leaving - checking out at 11:00am - we didn't have to pay an extra fee to use the All-Inclusive facilities because we checked in after 6:00pm - great
