Club Martha's Aparthotel

We've just returned today, from this hotel. This place is brilliant. We can't fault it in any way. The rooms are spotless, the cleaners don't stop. The pools (nice size all three) and grounds are spotless. The entertainment team were great , keeping the kids happy during the day with archery , rock climbing ( 3 storey climbing wall ) zip wire and all the usual games and sports and then the adults at night. If you went for a fortnight you wouldn't see the same entertainment twice. All the staff are friendly especially the Welsh lady who was on reception. A fantastic hotel , can't wait to go back

We have just returned from a 10 day holiday, 4 Adults and 2 children (aged 2 and 3), at Club Marthas in Cala D'Or and although there are a number of good things about the hotel, they get the basic fundamentals wrong so much so that I am surprised they get repeat business.
What saves the hotel is the animation team, they are hard working, professional and great with the kids. The pools, the pool area and the grounds are clean and well kept, but the following items are fundamentally wrong.
1. Don't book a Studio Apartment, you do not get beds with mattresses, you sleep on a cheap sofa with foam seats and they are tiny.
2. This is a 4 star hotel (claimed) where the recommendation is that the rooms are cleaned daily and bedding change every 2 days. Not at Club Marthas rooms are only cleaned 3 times a week.
3. Can you imagine being supplied with a tiny bar of soap and a little sachet of shampoo and if you run out which we did on day 3 and ask for more you are told that's all they supply. unbelievable
4. No towels provided for the swimming pools, in the dozens of hotels we have been to never had this at 4 star. Had to go out and buy towels.
5. If you go All Inclusive you will be treated as second class citizen the drinks are very restricted, no cocktails very few alternatives to beer wine and cheap spirits. Again in all other 4 star AI places I have stayed they at least provide a cocktail of the day in the package.
6. Although the food was fine on the AI package, if you miss breakfast tough the next time you can eat is 1pm, again all the other places I have been to offer snacks throughout the day which suits the children. If you go out and miss lunch then it is 4pm before you can eat on the AI package. The only alternative to the buffet meal is a Pizza between 7 and 10pm
7. You get the feeling that they have taken the AI money off you let's see what else we can take from you.
8. Whatever time you arrive at the hotel, we arrived at 7pm, your AI package finishes at 12 midday and you are kicked out of your room at 11am unless you pay extra. So we missed out on one meal and drinks. Money grabbing again.
9. Finally we had adjoining rooms overlooking the entertainment area where the music played loudly until midnight. When we asked to move we were told our rooms would be in different accommodation blocks which would have been very difficult with the young kids. I think they came up with that suggestion as they knew we would not accept that option

Room Tip: Do not book a Studio Apartment and ask for a room away from the entertainment area if you want to sl...

Thank you for sharing your opinions with us. The reason we give out questionaires in the hotel, is exactly for the type of feedback that you have given. We understand that we cannot please all of the people , all of the time, and that hotels vary greatly in what they have to offer. But we earnestly try to ugrade our standards wherever and whenever we can.

Just got back from a weeks break here, very nice complex which is clean and tidy, staff all very attentive and clearly happy in their jobs!Apartment was excellent and spacious with modern fittings just as the pictures show, only downside was the drain smell in the bathroom which was overpowering somedays-but hey, maybe thats just spain drains..
Location good its not in cala d'or though but cala egos which is a quieter resort and suited us as was me and my partner just fine, taxi to the larger area of cala d'or cost about 6 euros. 2 small beaches within walking distance.
Entertainment was very average, lots of effort put in by the team but just seemed to mime to a load of songs and dance around!would have preferred a live singer or something as this got a bit repetitive, apart from that, i can recommend this hotel

This resort is ideal for families but not for couples. It's childrens entertainment from early to late. Great if you have kids. The rooms are average but very clean. The pizzaria is delicious. The location is very good. It's a huge complex. Studios are overpriced. Rob from ireland

My wife and I stayed here for one weeks self catering mid June and were pleasantly surprised by the accommodation. We booked a one bed apartment as we didn't fancy sleeping on sofa beds for a week as were described in the studios. Glad we did as the sofa mattresses were a bit hard for us mid oldies. The apartment we had was in block three behind the tennis court and was fantastic. Top floor ( three floors ) with great terrace, two sunbeds, table and four chairs, fridge, micro wave, very clean bathroom with a good shower and tidy bedroom which had a bed with a very thick comfy mattress and very, very good air con. You'll have read in other reviews about the extra stuff you have to hire so won't go there. No complaints at all with the room.
Check in was quick, service was good and all around the hotel is very clean and tidy and pleasant to walk round. The pools are very clean with plenty of sunbeds most of the time, although we did have four days of windy, cloudy, rainy, thundery days so people were going out of the hotel instead of doing the sunbed tango, so we didn't see any problems while we were there.
We booked this hotel for location, price,(very good package with Jet2) and the look of the apartment.
We didn't book this hotel for the all inclusive as we went into Cala D'or every night to eat so cannot comment on the quality of food, service, entertainment etc. This hotel for us was a base to come and go as we pleased.
On the days that the sun did shine and we did go round the pool areas, it was very family oriented and quite busy with a lot of children of all ages. The entertainment team seemed to be doing a good job and all the kids seemed to be having a great time. The ground floor apartments also have little gardens with sunbeds and a small hedge to keep the little ones in. Never seen that before and was very impressed at the thought put into the family accommodation.
Would we return? Yes, but as a couple to use as a base only. Too many children if you want a quieter, relaxing holiday but would definitely return with the family and grandchildren in a group holiday. Very nice!

Room Tip: If you, like us are a couple ask to be away from the pool areas if you want it quiet.

Stayed at Club Martha's in the middle of June for a week, great place, resort grounds are very well kept, room very clean and modern, we were in block 6 3rd floor and had a sea view. no kettle in the room-not a problem just use the saucepan to boil water on the hob! like most places you go the staff can be a mixed bag, some really nice guys like Tina on reception and the two guys in pizzeria were great.

we only ate in pizzeria so cannot comment on the buffet, pizzeria was amazing, freshly made pizzas they do a great job.

cala egos was perfect, a lot smaller than cala Dor but plenty of restaurants and shops and bars to visit, western steakhouse in the square just outside was great, we hired a car, loads of cool beaches to visit on the east coast of Mallorca, driving from the airport to Martha's was really easy, we didn't have a map we just followed the signs and didn't have any problem, takes around an hour.

entertainment teams work real hard, the music can be a bit repetitive, we saw two of the evening shows, one was bad one was great so again cant really comment, if you have kids they will enjoy the kids clubs for sure.

Room Tip: block 6 was closet to entertainment but had great views.
