Just back from another week at the cala gran. A few changes to be seen, i.e a facelift to the public areas of the hotel. Mainly due to the damage caused by the storms last october. the rooms are much the same, basic but clean and plenty of hot water!! A bit of rearranging of the dining rooms, not altogether for the better. One half of the dining servery closed for a good part of the time, and a lot of walking around looking for the cutlery/plates/sauces you wanted. Having said all that the staff still are the making of this hotel, although there did seem to be a few tensions. Kelly, Joy, Mary, Santi, Adriano and many of the others are always professional and cheerful. Five star it is not, but excellent value for money, friendly and a superb location. Jerome and his animacion team do an excellent job without being too "in your face" if all you want to do is chill!
There is enough here to let everyone have an excellent holiday at a good price whatever their age - in fact there always eems to be a really good mix of ages and nationalities. Keep up the good work cala gran - see you later in the year!!More
