Good location but villa very shabby.
We had to remove hair from the showers and the tiles before using when we arrived. The cleaning done ahead of our arrival was obviously very minimal.
We knew there was no air conditioning, but fail to understand how the owner could provide such totally useless fans. In this day and age, there are fans which are extremely powerful and silent. The ones in the villa are clearly very old and of no use whatsoever. The owner claimed he fixed one, but it did not seem to work any better.
The seat pads on the chairs outside were ludicrously thin and were replaced with something not much better. These things are a minimal cost, but do make a huge difference.
The garden and plans are all overgrown and very scruffy looking.
The biggest insult of all is that we were at Molly’s Bar opposite when the owner of the bar mentioned that the villa owners had been in – this was not due to our questioning, she volunteered the information. We said we did meet them, but they did not speak any English, which made for a very difficult exchange. The bar owner told us they do in fact speak very good English! He made a fool out of us, which really is not the way to treat paying guests. These people clearly have little regard for their guests. The towels and sheets very almost threadbare. They did not change the bed linen as we were told they would, neither were the towels changed twice during our stay, as promised. It would appear we were given false information on several occasions.
A good location, but the villa is very shabby and in desperate need of updating.
Having recently returned on 15th July 2017 from a weeks stay At Villa Martina in Cala D'Or I feel it's only fair to leave an honest review of this villa!!
A group of friends and I went for a girly week to celebrate a special birthday!
The location of the villa was perfect, the size of the villa was great and the weather was fantastic, very hot but also a little humid!! The villa had no air conditioning whatsoever and small fans were supplied for each of the bedrooms, these fans let out hardly any air and were too noisy when switched on to full setting to leave on through the night! This made getting ready in the evenings almost impossible, we were actually going outside to try and cool down!
when we came back to the villa after being out one evening the bed in the main bedroom was crawing alive with bugs, we had to strip/wash everything and move into another bedroom, I am guessing this was due to the humidity and lack of aircon!
The rooms upstairs had their own bathrooms but the one downstairs was shared, when someone showered upstairs the water came through the downstairs ceiling above the shower!!! One time, one of us was actually having to blow dry her hair even though she hadn't washed it due to the amount of water coming through the ceiling!
That bathroom also came complete with a cockroach or two!!! We also had to take showering in turns due to water pressure! We made complaints to the company about the shower, fans and few other issues, they were very efficient and told us the owner would be with us the following day! The owner (apparently) arrived the following day but did not speak one word of English other than flap his arms around to let us know he did not understand!!! We have since learnt he can understand English but chose not too!!! He supposedly mended one fan, but made no difference, and the shower leaked more than ever but pointless as he conveniently didn't understand us!! Unfortunately this villa is tired and needs a lot of little touches to bring it back up to scratch, descent towels don't cost a lot and wouldn't go a miss either!! The best thing about this villa was "Mollys" bar across the road opposite! The owners were so lovely and helpful and food was unbelievably good!! Going back soon to "Mollys" but unfortunately will not be returning to this villa again!!!
