This is two star hotel and that probably covers the accomodation which is clean but basic. The food though is three/four star as is the friendly/helpful service . The location is five star and so was the whole holiday

it's always a pleasure to return here,My wife & I have just returned from a weeks stay with our two children and we have all had a fabulous time. Jaun & his family who own the hotel made us very welcome as usual and the service the gave us was first class.
the location of this hotel is first class and the beach is wonderful for families.

I've now stayed here on 4 occasions and love the place. Admittedly the hotel is not up there with some of the 5*s but it is great and the family that run the place are brilliant and go out of their way to help you. The rooms are spotless, spacious with a decent sized balcony (albeit a little dated). not all balcony views are of the sea but if you're lucky enough you'll get one of the rooms on the first floor with the massive balcony overlooking the bay.

The two beaches in the bay are beautiful, clean and very safe (no waves). The restaurant up in the hillside serves great quality food and there is a lovely Tapas restaurant about a ten minute drive away heading towards the airport. There's a regular bus stopping right outside that takes you into Cala D'or if you haven't hired a car & taxi's are cheap enough.

We got engaged whilst on holiday here (there's an amazing clearing in the forest that overlooks the bay, definitely worth taking a late evening picnic to) and will no doubt be back many more times in the future.

We booked an apartment - the best they had which I think was room 8. The view out over the pool and to the beach was fantastic, and we had no neighbours on either side and two balconies, one with a sea view, the other from the separate bedroom overlooking the pines and the car park.
If you can't get room 8 and you want an apartment, room 7 is good as well on the corner looking out to sea. All the apartments are in a separate block to the pool side. The pool is a really nice area and well maintained.
The location is the best thing about this hotel. It has a nice feel, is a bit old fashioned but nice all the same. Juan the owner was really friendly and helpful. Wi-fi is available and was only a few euros per hour I think. As we were self catering we never had the breakfast. The kitchenette is small, and not well equipped - a bottle opener would have been helpful as would a colander. It's really only good for preparing light meals really. There's a shop that's part of the hotel below - with the most miserable lady working there in the morning - she's almost comical in her moodiness - it's hilarious! Of course the real draw of this hotel is it's location next to two of Mallorca's best beaches - it's closer than the other two hotels in the area - it's literally seconds away.
The first beach is small and pretty and gets so busy in peak season as buses and ferries come throughout the day dropping people off. We preferred to walk round the coast to the other larger beach first thing, although still crowded had more room, and the walk is so lovely - next to the turquoise sea. We'd visit our local beach later in the afternoon as people left - there are a lot of day trippers, and the brilliant thing about this hotel is you don't have to leave the beach!
The two restaurants on the nearest beach are a real bonus, we can recommend the paella in the furthest one - it really was one of the best we've ever had, and we must have had hundreds. The first place seems more like a bar and they do a decent mojito. You can also walk along the coast to the left of the hotel and you come to another little beach. All in all, this place is a great choice if you like it quiet, when the people leave the beach in the evening, the two restaurants are really quiet and we really liked the peace.

Room Tip: Apartment 8 is best

Fab location - Cala Mondrago was once voted in the world's top 10 beaches by the Sunday Times.
The hotel is family run, has buffet style breakfasts and a nice pool.
A stroll around the path from Mondrago takes you to S'Amarador beach - beautiful.
The two restuarants on Cala Mondrago are both good - but the first one is much better. The staff never seem to change over the years - the same friendly faces - happy to welcome you back. Fresh filtered coffee on the beach and a tab makes it ideal.
Only issue can be the parking. If you stay at the hotel your ok. If you plan to visit the beach either use a local bus, the little train or you will need to park and walk down.

Room Tip: Check your room has a fridge. Apartments available

There is a great deal to like about this hotel. It is beautifully located on a fantastic beach; it is spotlessly clean; the rooms are nice-sized and comfortable; the host (Juan) is extremely helpful. I recommend the ocean view rooms with lovely balconies.
A few hints: the hotel is quite remote, although there are two restaurants and a small store at the beach. Although taxis and a bus are available, I would recommend renting a car. There are no ATMs nearby, so take lots of cash with you. Also, unusual for US standareds, the hotel provides soap and shamoo only for the first night, so pack some.
It's the perfect place for a quiet, restful stay (although Mallorca has LOTS to see). I'd definitely go again, but I'd be better prepared.

Room Tip: Room 04 for 1-2 persons. Half-board was good.
