“great value for money”
Reviewed 11 August 2012

Stayed here 28th July 2012 for one week. Stayed with my sister in law and her two children aged 8 and 7years.
As a whole we all loved the holiday. Was concerned after reading some reviews but I guess you can’t please everyone.

Yes there is an issue with sun beds but think all hotels are the same.
All staff are fantastic!!! They are all willing to help you when possible.

Food – All you can eat from 8am till midnight, food to please all cultures. There is even burgers, chips and hotdogs made to order 10am till 6pm and a made to order bbq 6pm till 9pm. On top of this there is pizza and pasta 12pm till 12am and your breakfast, lunch, dinner in the buffet restaurant.

Drinks – yes you can get drunk on all-inclusive alcohol lol all you can drink 10am till midnight.

Entertainment – during the day there is hourly activities for younger children, older children and adults. I enjoyed the adult activities and the kids joined some of the younger kid’s activities. The only issue I would say is they SOMETIMES felt they had out grown the activities but were too young for the next age group. (I do realise it can’t be easy to plan for the age difference. Night time entertainment was FANTASTIC!!! Every second night the animation team put on a show Moulin rouge, Horror show (very funny). There was also outside entertainment every other night. A reptile show, singers and dancers.

Outside the hotel – there is the local shops, two minute walk with all you will ever need. There is also two kids “fun fairs” one in the centre and one at the edge. They only open at night around 7 but think that’s a good thing as a bit pricey.

The beach is lovely; you will need to walk down a few steps but nowhere near as bad as some people say.
The beach is big enough and always room to sit or you can higher sun beds.
The only trip we went is was a 4 hour bottomless boat ride; it was good but was disappointed as was told the trip included a stop where we get to feed the fish. We did stop but no feeding of the fish was mentioned just a chance to swim. I think in the whole 4 hours I only saw about 6 fish.

The only down side was the 2.5hour coach journey to the hotel as we were the last ones to get dropped off. It took 1.5 hours to get back to the airport. That was the main reason we didn’t go on any excursions, apart from the expense we could face that coach journey any more than necessary. (Most of the attractions are around the Palma area.
All in all we did enjoy our holiday and yes we would recommend and go back ourselves.

Room Tip: All rooms have a sea view but if you want a quiet night ask to stay away from the entertainment end...

stayed here 2 weeks and got back on 7th august. 2 weeks was far too long in the one place in my opinion as after a week eating and drinking all inclusive in the one hotel is very monotonous, particularly when the beer is limited to san miguel only and all the other spirits and soft drinks are cheap brands. If you don't mind a crowded small beach and crowded pool sides or having to queue for your 'free' drinks then this is the place for you! note no waiter service and every meal is self service buffet. the self service juices are cheap diluted crap with no pure juices at all. Also, you have the all too common scenario of guests getting up early to claim the very limited pool side sunbed. Why would anyone enjoy getting up early on holiday to do this and then go back to bed? there is no gym and no big screen tvs. the food is good fare most of the time but not top restaurant standard. all in all this is a grossly overpriced con and you cannot even get a drink of water from once the bar closes at 12 as they lock the kitchens, so you have to buy bottled water for your fridge

We have just returned from a week all inclucive with our 1 year old, it was a big decision on were to go as we hadn't taken her before it was a good choice.....The entertainers work from the Minuite they get up & are brilliant at they're job the pool dance is amazing! most all inc hotels are raely repetative but we didnt find it all infact you could eat from 7am-12pm the pizzaria serves amazing pizza & a load of other food & the bar sereves hot snacks & unlimited drnks all day long! The rooms are cleaned every day & the cleaners are very friendly the travel cot was ready and waiting when we arrived too!! the view from the hotel is breath taking and so is the beach. hotel staff are all friendly and very welcoming as for Calas de majorca there isnt much going on but the hotel makes up for it!!!!! WORTH A VISUIT!

I booked with Ola Holidays to go in September.. On the phone he said 'let me see if I can fit you into the hotel as apparently it's full' he then said its fine and we would definitely have a room.. But now reading things it seems like we won't get a nice balcony view which we were told? Or may even move to a different hotel? And the transfers too.. Are they really 2.5 hours long. We got told it woul be 1.15 :( I'm beginning to worth as this is my first holiday in 9 years!!

We have just got back from a fab 11 day holiday in this hotel. This is our second time staying here and we enjoyed it just the same. It is in a great location as you have the beach at the back of the hotel and less than 5 minutes walk down a bank. You also have the main shopping centre at the front of the hotel and this is also about 5 minutes walk. The food is great, you have the main restaurant with a wide choice of food to choose from 3 times a day, from 12 to 12 you can eat in the pizza bar which has a selection of pizza's, pasta and cakes, the pool snack bar is open from 10am till 6pm where you can order toasties, hotdogs, burgers etc and there is a barbeque every night from 7pm to 9pm where the chef cooks the meat in front of you that you have chosen from the fridge. There is entertainment for most of the day from 10am to 12pm for various ages. the ages groups are 3-12,12-16 & 16+ and the activities include archery, rifle shooting, water aerobics, darts, shuffle board, crafts and games for the younger children. They also have a different show on each evening including well known musicals such as Grease etc put on by the entertainment team (I thought these were great!). All staff in the hotel are friendly and helpful and the kids even get a lolly when leaving the restaurant in the evening. I would definitely recommend this hotel especially for families and I hope to return again sometime in the future for the 3rd time.

Room Tip: We stayed in the Annex building which all had a sea view and is just to the side of the main hotel...

Overall we had a lovely holiday ( just returned on Sunday).and like the other comments found the hotel lovely and clean, in a wonderful location, and generally couldn't fault it EXCEPT for having been put into the cupboard that is room 161 where we had to remain for two nights before an alternative room was available. We had booked with Thomas cook months ago and had been told we would get a room with a balcony .room 161 barely has a window never mind a balcony.the Thomas cook rep Richard was wonderful but couldn't influence the room issue as it appeared that the hotel had just overbooked and there was nothing he could do. He very helpfully arranged for us to go to a pirate show as compensation which we really enjoyed but would much rather have had a nice room.and been able to unpack before day three. Don't know if I would go back as if a nice room isn't guaranteed with a reputable company like Thomas cook then I wouldn't have any confidence in getting what I paid for.

Room Tip: The annex is wonderful

We came for an all-inclusive stay and definitely enjoyed ourselves. We did have an initial problem with the room - sharing 2 rooms between 6 and a baby at the back of the hotel wasn't ideal. After a fair bit of fuss we got a change to rooms on the 6th or 7th floor. The views from the hotel was amazing - the hotel faces the sea!
The food is adequate, although frustratingly tiny glasses for juice (although this isn't the only hotel which commits such a crime!).
The rooms are functional - nice but not 4* standard. I would say though that we did not pay 4* prices, so for the money, this is a very good hotel.
The staff speak excellent english (better than some of the english guests!), and are helpful and polite. Activities are good for kids, although it was slightly quiet when we went, but that made getting a lounger easier!
It might be nice to have a water dispenser on each floor, but overall a very nice stay..

Room Tip: Make sure you get a sea facing room
