Last minuite booking through Travelzoo Great value for money.
Hotel very clean think it may have just reopened. Rooms had sea view we got sun on a morning. Room cleaner was very good clean towels every day (No beach towels provided we took our own anyway). Always a food area open 8am till midnight. Food very good salads fresh with cold meat option Lot of choice hot food side, always replenished never saw the trays empty. Reception staff very helpful.Lifts always working to floor levels. Entertainment ok outside groups came in with music they were all very good. Did have a music quiz one night we really didnt know Spanish songs but the family using phone recognition were delighted when they won! Outside area clean and tidy. Good walks to next bays. Went to Porto Christo on the bus and visited the Caves of Drac well worth it.

Room Tip: Rooms on floor 7 have an extra charge our room on floor 2 was excellent.

I visited Hotal America in June 2011, along with my girlfriend and son aged 3 at the time. It was brilliant, the choice and quality of food exceeded our expectations, having been on all inclusives before we were slightly wary. The location is very good also with a beach located withing walking distance. Views from the rooms were amazing. Very good value for money, and great for families. The only downside is the town itself, there is very little in it.

I visited here with my boyfriend back in 2012. It was my first ever visit abroad and i must say i LOVED every minuet of it.

The area of proto cristo was jist beautiful and well worth the bus journey.

We also decode to take the 3.5hour bus journey to visit a friend in magaluf. WELL WORTH THE TRIP!!

Food was amazing in the hotel staff was very friendly and room was cleaned and tidied everyday.

If u want to go out then id say MERCURY BAR was one of the best ENGLISH BARs there.

WILL DEFFO VISIT AGAIN!!!!

Great last minute deal.
Had an amazing room facing the sea in their anex which was newly refurbished.
Entertainment was coming to an end but was still there. Reps was top class.
Food was good lots of choice.
Bar staff friendly good choice of drinks.
Was right on beach sunbeds if you wanted but we stuck to the sand. Clear waters lots of different sea life.
Lots of shops bars restaurants around complex would be great in peak season.

Stayed here in September 13. The hotel is miles away from the airport and the transfer was over 3 hours by coach, if you are going to stay here I would say get a taxi!
We were first given a room on the second floor which was shocking, dated and tiny. We asked to be moved to a better room and was given a room on the top floor the following day. The rooms on the top 2 floors are completely different, really nice and spacious with a shower that worked! They really need to renovate the remaining floors.
The food here is average for an all inclusive, they had some themed nights with different food but there wasn't much choice for vegetarians.
It was a fight to get a lounger in the morning, people were queuing up at 7am, considering the amount of rooms here, there were not nearly enough loungers on offer.
The beach is very nice, although you do pay a fee for the loungers and umbrellas, but they did have wifi!
The hotel is in quite a remote location, we visited the 'local' market which took an hour on the bus, ok if you are happy with just lounging by the pool all the time and not wanting to visit anywhere else.
Nice all inclusive break but would not choose to stay here again.

Room Tip: Ask for a room on the top 2 floors

This week I have booked a weeks holiday at this hotel for June 6th 2014 for my mum and I because our last two holidays there have been excellent. We last went June 13th 2013 for a week and we were lucky enough to get a refurbished room on the 7th floor. I think this was because we booked with Thomas Cook. The rooms are very fresh and modern but the great thing for my mum, who is disabled, was the walk in shower. Our room overlooked the beech and the entertainment but it was very quiet because we were so high up.
The hotel is situated next to the sea and the views are outstanding. We sunbathed on a terrace down by the pool bar and it was like being on a ships deck. The only down side was on the last day half the terrace was roped off for the guests who paid for a special sunbathing place with towels and a guarenteed seat in the dining room. However no one actually sat there so the rest of the guests were squeezed together when we could have spread out!
The food is good but a bit repetitive but we loved the pool bar food which was quick and fresh, things like cheese toasties, burgers and fries. The pizza bar is good for snacks especially biscuits and different coffees.
The first few days were lovely and quiet but by the end of the holiday it got really busy. That is why we have booked the week earlier this time.
The transfer to the hotel is horrendous but that is not the hotels fault. We went by coach which my mum had great difficulty getting on and off. This year we have paid extra for a private taxi transfer which hopefully will take less than an hour rather than the two hours by coach.
The hotel staff are friendly and efficient and can speak English.
Calas is a lovely little square with a variety of cafes, shops and a few fun fairs for those with children. It is not the place for 20 somethings to party the night away but is excellent for couples who want a quiet break or those with young families.

Room Tip: Room 733 was very good. It did not get the sun on it in the afternoon so was cooler. The views were...
