“Not bad”
Reviewed 3 June 2014

Hotel consists of 8 floors the top four are refurbished and has better views. Alpharooms courtesy paid for premium room but got one on the third floor. Still not bad though. Food very good loads of choice good quality from 8 am till midnight there is always some place open to eat. Well impressed with the choice of drinks. This hotel is all inclusive only so the staff treats everybody with the same level of respect and friendliness which some other hotels lack if you already paid for AI. The beach is right in front and lovely, also two swimming pools with plenty sunbeds and views to the sea. Magnificent views even from a dining room. Very small town around, not much going on but good for some relaxing holiday. The biggest minus was housekeeping cause even though beds and towels were changed regularly they never managed to mop the floor or do the dusting properly during the whole week not even after complaining. Not bad but

For the money spent you could not ask for anything else. Great choice of drinks and food throughout the day. If you don't want to get dressed for lunch there is a pool bar offering quality burgers, hot dogs and toasties with chips. The staff are very friendly and the hotel is in a great setting. Would recommend.

Room Tip: If possible get a superior room. They are clean modern and a great view higher up.

Our 2nd visit.. Went back as knew hotel was exactly what we needed with 3 children under 10 years as well as our 18 year old daughter. Perfect location, friendly staff, spotlessly clean. Rooms next to each other as requested. Had an 8th birthday whilst we were their, hotel sorted a cake (€15), brought out at dinner and staff singing happy birthday... Children's entertainers made a real fuss too. Would recommend without hesitation and will be returning again in the future

We've just got back from a quick 5 day break at Hotel America. We were after a relaxing, stress-free sort of holiday and that's exactly what we got.
We stayed on the third floor and the room was really clean and had everything you could need. The sea view was great and we especially liked the little balcony.
The food was better than we expected, lots of variety yet still a good understanding of the simple basics for your less adventurous eaters.
Entertainment was good, the entertainment team were very friendly and there was a decent range of entertainment from night to night.
We were a bit unlucky with the weather, one or two cloudy afternoons, but everything that was in the hotel's control was excellent.

Just come back from a last-minute deal to celebrate my birthday. At just over £300 for a week all inclusive in a four star hotel, it was excellent value for money. The food was very good and the vegetarian options were particularly good and I'm not even a veggie! We booked through Broadway travel so it wasn't a true package deal so perhaps that is why it took around two and a half hours to get from the airport. The coach did take some detours to various stop off places via Cala d'Or so be ready for a long transfer journey.

We stayed in a standard room which was spacious, clean and perfectly adequate. The TV was a bit outdated and only received CNN, BBC1 and BBC2 in English but you don't really go to Spain to watch TV. Entertainment in the evening was hit and miss. There was a great Four Tops tribute band on the first night but other nights involved Mr America competitions, a music quiz and Men v Women where we witnessed different sexes playing on a Wii. Mini Disco and bingo is on the agenda every night but there is a nice bar which you can escape to.

Being off season, there weren't many children around and the dining room was quite calm. I can imagine it becoming quite chaotic if the hotel is full with lots of families. There's a good mix of nationalities, we came across French, German and lots of Spanish people. All rooms have a nice sea view and the beach is on the doorstep. There are two large pools but it was too cold to actually try them out in May.

We ventured into the resort centre one evening but it was deserted. At this time of year,
activity definitely focuses around the hotels. I guess that all inclusive does kill local businesses. The local buses run to Porto Cristo, Cala Bona and Cala Millor and all of these resorts are definitely worth a visit. You can go by boat as well.

All in all, we had a great relaxing break. I would recommend it for couples and families but don't think the resort has much to offer for groups of youngsters looking to party.

Room Tip: The top floors have been refurbished but you may have to pay extra for a superior room. We were on...

The transfer time to the hotel took just under 3 hours! Booked through teletext and was assured it would only take 1.30 hrs so be aware before booking your trip. The hotel was really nice and had a great view overlooking the sea and beach, fabulous! However, I was on the first floor and the walls are paper thin, you can hear everything....and being underneath the restaurant, the scrapping of chairs was unbearable and had to invest in earplugs!!
You have to pay for wifi in your room €25 for a week but there is free wifi in the bar (which is very slow however).
The staff are very friendly. Evening Entertainment is ok, they had a couple of bands playing (Motown) which was good & if you enjoy it they have bingo every night.
Food is always available, there is the main restaurant which is open for breakfast, lunch, dinner. A pizzeria for snacks in the evening & the pool bar for burgers, chips etc. vegetarian options are ok but not great.
All in all, it is a lovely hotel, nice quiet location and the views are fabulous. There is a small centre nearby with bars, shops but you need a car to travel for any sightseeing as not much nearby.
Overall it was a relaxing holiday!

Room Tip: Apparently rooms on the 7/8th floor are better but you have to pay extra if you have already been gi...

We stayed at this hotel from the 5th May 2014 for 1 week. We enjoyed our stay but the hotel is not of a 4* standard! the room was very basic but clean and we had a beautiful view, the food was ok but a bit boring with very little choice. The staff were all very friendly and keen to make your stay with them an enjoyable one. We booked this break as a last minute deal and for the money we paid it was a good buy.
