Once we arrived we were told there was no room ready for us, so we were moved to a near by hotel and came back the next morning. It is clear others experienced this also! We were given a room in the annex, which was fine as the rooms we're very big and right beside the hotel. Bar staff were friendly, efficient service but the food was very average. We went to eat out a few nights but unfortunately as the resort is small choice was limited. The best thing about the hotel is the location, set on a beautiful coastline, annex rooms had a wonderful view of the sea and the hotel is right beside a beautiful beach. I am not sure if I would return, the coach journey is very long to here, especially after a long flight.

Returned last week after stay at this hotel with wife and two young children.

First impressions of hotel were good , very well presented and modern reception and bar area that's recently been refurbished.

The reception staff are very friendly particularly the manager Mari who helped and resolved an issue we had very well.

The refurbished room we had was on the 8th floor with lovely big shower, flat screen TV, plenty of circulation space and an outstanding sea view (along with all the rooms)

The animation (entertainment) team are fantastic particularly Steve who was great fun , always smiling and remembered your name. There are professional acts 3 times a week (4 tops tribute particular highlight) bingo every night also good fun !

The food in the restaurant is a let down and an awful canteen style with no chef cooking fresh food at front of house and surprisingly no one showing you to your table or real enforced dress policy (trousers not mandated) so it becomes a 'free for all' at breakfast, lunch and dinner. The food gets taken away from the servery on the stroke of the hour of closing (even if people haven't eaten amazingly!) so don't go to eat 10 mins before closing or you'll go hungry ! We had dinner every night at the BBQ which was freshly cooked to order and a good alternative to the canteen although we had to request fresh salad every night. The pizzeria is available all day until midnight which was great and the chef who was excellent is constantly cooking fresh pizzas right until midnight.

Drinks are OK with lots available although a frustration was constant queuing even for one soft drink , for some reason the only drink you can help yourself to is water , I can understand alcohol being controlled but all soft drinks should be freely available.

The pool area is interesting, there are two adult and one child pool which are well maintained and clean, however there are only a very limited number of fixed sun umbrellas which are reserved early in the morning with towels leaving young children with no shade unless you wake early and tie your towel to one! This is because the sunbeds get packed away and locked every night and only unlocked at 0830 every morning which is a good policy because the area is cleaned every morning thoroughly , just a shame about lack of umbrellas.

The housekeeping is very good , rooms cleaned every day with fresh towels and sheets. We asked for an extra bed on first day to save us setting up sofa bed every day which the maid happily supplied.

The beach is a 2 minute walk and lovely , had great fun crashing in the waves but beware of jelly fish because several people got stung. The local town is a short walk but is tired and run down with no nice places to eat or drink.

There were several people we met that arrived and didn't have a room allocated which was unacceptable in my opinion and a regular occurrence it seems (although not our experience) I suggest calling mari on reception directly before you leave uk to check you've got a room allocated.

The hotel is a 50 minute taxi transfer at cost of €80 which was well worth it listening to some of the coach transfer horror stories (several hours because always last drop)

On the whole we enjoyed our stay and met some lovely people both guests and staff , with just a few tweaks this could be an outstanding hotel.

Room Tip: Any rooms on 6th 7th or 8th floors are fantastic , all fully refurbished , like being in a different...

We stayed here for a short break if four nights and I have never struggled to leave somewhere so much we were lucky enough to get a bungalow that was just metres from the sea and got to wake to the sound of waves every morning food was good hotel was clean staff were very friendly the private beach is beautiful and the surrounding area is full of nice little shops and bars we has a lovely time her the one complaint is that it was a long transfer about three hours on the coach we will return and it will definitely be a private transfer which really doesn't cost much more

For our third visit to Calas De Mallorca, we decided to visit the top hotel - all in all it was probably £10-15pp more expensive than the other hotels however it was simply awesome.

We didn't stay in one of the refurbished rooms, in fact we were in the annex, which was lovely clean and well maintained.

The food was really good for Buffet Style - there was plenty of choice even the fussiest of eaters will find something they like.

The hotel bar was really impressive decor wise nice leather sofas etc.The only day of rain on our holiday meant that most of the guests were in the bar - the bar staff were really efficient and everyone was served within minutes.

All in all I would recommend this hotel to anyone it appeals to young and old, it offers really good value and there is a great bus service from right outside the hotel if you want to explore the island without hiring a car.

Room Tip: Levels 7 & 8 have been refurbished - but don't be a snob the other rooms are perfectly pract...

Hotel staff were helpful, professional and friendly.

There was a good range of food, good quality, fresh and tasty (a good choice even for fussy eaters like my husband...).

Rooms were clean, spacious, comfortable. The sea views were unprecedented! All we could see was blue sky and sea! (oh and boats). Our maid was delightful.

Hotel facilities were good and clean, but not extensive. Inflatables are not allowed in the pool but this was a good thing as there are only two swimming pools plus a paddling pool so it would have been too crowded.

The beaches nearby were beautiful although the sea is quite rough. Good for the surfers who were out most morning but not so good for little kids or weak swimmers. Beach bar on the second beach (walk over the cliffs) is fab for a pint (or two) of San Miguel in a frosted glass!

Kids clubs were good and the entertainment team were friendly and personable. Evening shows were mixed - professional shows (i.e. acrobats) were good but in-house stuff could be a little trying.

Local resort is fairly lively and offers something for families and couples.

I would recommend this hotel and I would return :-)

We arrived at 11.30 a.m. on 26th july 2014, to find our room was not ready, told to come bck to desk at 2.00 p.m., in all the years we have travelled abroad that has never happened to us. I was travelling with my husband, my son and his girlfriend. At 2.00 we were given 1 key and when we went up, we were on the first floor above the entrance looking over the car park, we had a 2 bedroomed apartment with 1 bathroom, no sitting room. my husband complained and were told if we stayed in that aprartment over night we could upgrade the next day, because we complained there was no extra charge, but the notice on the reception desk proves otherwise, if you want an upgrade you will be charged for it. We ended up on the 8th floor which are called superior rooms, these have been upgraded but only superficially.

Room Tip: ask for superior rooms on floors 5,6,7, or 8.
