I really can't add much more regarding the location and the facilities available at this lovely hotel as my fellow reviewers have already done this for me.

We stayed for three nights for a friends special birthday and can only say that we went home wishing we had booked for longer! The staff are excellent, friendly and attentive without being over the top and the hotel is spotlessly clean. As we were here in low season it was very pleasant, but I would imagine in high season it could possibly seem very crowded and the staff and facilities may be under pressure. Having said that, we will certainly stay there again when we next go to Majorca.

Room Tip: If you don't want to hear the poolside entertainment quite so clearly ask for a room away from that side looking more towards Palma.

Stayed here for a long weekend. This hotel already had over delivered before we arrived, I made an error with the booking and they went out of their way to help resolve it - Thank you Tania.

The rooms are very clean and modern, you walk in to a semi open plan bathroom then into a large bedroom. It was all very clean and comfortable.

This hotel was full but at no time did it feel over crowded round the pool. Plenty of sunbeds, two pools, one for just adults which did have limited space but at least there was one.

It was very relaxing right on the waters edge, the food breakfast was excellent, lunch in the pool bar was exceptional value with a BBQ everyday with fresh fish and meats. Evening meal in the buffet restaurant was very good. There was also a choice from the menu but the huge variety of the buffet meant we just didn't have to bother. I didn't eat in the restaurant downstairs.

Would I stay here again, absolutely, we came here for a few days relaxing and it worked.

Riu Palace Bonanza Playa is located on the beach. However, there is not much beach at the hotel: the surroundings are rocky and the sea is hard to reach, if you do not want to dive in besides the rental boats. The hotel is ok. We booked by ourselves via internet, but got the impression that the hotel prefers German or English group tourists: the manager Sebastian greeted all the other clients, sitting in the lobby and waiting for the room, expect us. The others seemed to have come to this place year after year. It was disappointment as we paid more for the room than the group tourists. Our room was ok, but the sink in the room and the toilet arrangement (glass door, no real privacy) were something we are not used to at that price. The pool boy told us to use the same towel during the whole stay! They were supposed to be taken in to your room and out to pool next day again, not really a nice thing again. The hotel is located far from the centre and has only limited services near by. This is really a hotel for group tourists, not for individual travelers. They do not show gratitude for the bigger money you bring in.

We stayed for a week in this nice hotel in Illetas, a small village close to Palma. In front of the hotel there is a taxi stop and a bus stop (line 3, modern and cheap, going to downtown Palma in 25 minutes) as well.
The rooms were modern and clean and with a nice sea view. The bed and pillows were great as well.
The breakfast buffet on the 7th floor (again a room with a magnificent view) was quite fine.
Two clean pools outside (plus one indoor we did not visit), plenty of sunbathing beds and parasols, an entry to swim in the sea, a nice bar for drinks and lunch and very friendly staff.
Definitely, a great hotel for a relaxing time on Mallorca!

Really lovely hotel. Clean with very friendly staff. Pool and outdoor restaurant area is stunning. The kids loved the activities (with Marco). Location is perfect for bus right outside into beautiful Palma or walking to a variety of shops down the hill. Just 5Euro in a taxi to Portals too. Also a lovely outdoor, rustic restaurant right outside the front doors.

The only issue I would have is that they charged us an extra 100Euro for our 4yr old to have breakfast for 5days. That was rather petty considering we booked TWO rooms for 5 people so already paid more than booking a family room. The air conditioning was also not great in the rooms.

Room Tip: We stayed on 3rd floor which was very modern rooms. I think the higher floors are a bit older.
